Can't even guess how many baby broccolis I watched go by from the seat of an Allis Chalmers G.
Ill never forget the day I pulled up the cultivators and grabbed high gear when my friend rolled his car coming around the bend below the field I was cultivating.
As in you hurried towards him. Sorry its late and im having a stroke understanding it.
When I was a little guy I thought the Model G was made just for me. I was so proud when I drove it.
That is a wonderful tractor, boy my wife said she'd like me to get one, just kidding, I would like to have one. Thanks for sharing.
We used the G to cultivate tobacco here in southern Wisconsin back in the day. I restored a 1950 model just last year (2021). Keep it in my city front yard during the warm months here in Madison WI. Ride it in our Independence Day parades.
My Dad was working at the Allis-Chalmers plant in Gadsden, Alabama in 1953 when I was born. For years I have dreamed of retiring to a farm and owning my own Model G. I probably never will now, but the thought is still in my head.
When I was in high school, one of the guys in the mechanics class brought one of these in for an engine overhaul. First and last one I've ever seen. Ran like a watch when he was done. Belonged to his dad, I think.
Been a fan of these G models since learning about their existence a few years ago.
I appreciate the different look and unique setup.
The first real tractor I ever drove. I think I was somewhere around 9 years old. Thank you G'pa Benny for all you taught me 🙂
Man, I'd sure love to have one of these now! Our family had a G, a B, two Farmall Cubs, an H, and a 140. All scattered to the four winds now.
Some friends of mine farmed about 90 acres of vegetables, had one they call the gee whizzer.
I own 1952 ca alli Chambers Tractor it was my grandpa tractor on my dad side of the family I am planning to restore it for my family
I have 3 of them. 1 I collected on my own and found in Lexington, KY and the other 2 my grand father collected and found in Robbinsville, NC. Love the G model, we still use them for our sweet corn farm in North GA. Outstanding work, they are the Swiss Army knife on our farm.
What is the price, and where can I buy? If you have a possibility give me one for amount 😇
Unique??? Absolutely!! Love to have one. Thanks for the video.
Besides my international 140 the G is my favorite
My parents (Dad a chef by profession) bought our small 109 acre farm in 1950 in order to have the freshest of meat and produce, our AC-G the only tractor we needed to keep the three large gardens in great shape. After Dad died in '54, Mom kept the gardens going to raise us five kids but gradually eliminated the chickens and livestock and rented out the remaining pasture land to our neighbor farm family. Big brother (mid-teens) was fair with a wrench but just couldn't keep the G running, so it was left with the farm when Mom sold the place in '61. When I became a mechanic in the early '70s I set out to find a G I could restore in my Dad's memory, but life just kept moving too fast, and the dream was always put aside (probably for the better).
Thanks Swope Family and CTF for rekindling the memories! Now... how do I sell my wife on this and find the money for Cole Martin's G???
Easy, you buy it and then say "happy anniversary dear"
I really enjoy this channel as I get to see tractors and a lot of machinery I never knew existed.
There is one of those AC tractors in my town. It's usual but pretty cool.
My grandfather had one of these back in early 60 s ! I was
6 yrs old at the time !
It is a fine tobacco cultivating tractor
I used one growing up. every day after school I would put on the implements and plow the garden. as a 14 year old I learned how to put on every implement by myself. ours was a lever lift and was difficult at first due to my weight. my future father in law has on with hydraulic lift. the were made in Gadsden Alabama which is near where I grew up.
A few years back someone started building a modern version of the G. I can't remember the name of the company but I really wanted one. I wish I had bought one when I had the chance.
Several different companies have built similar tractors. One of them is Tuff-bilt, still in production.
The Oggun tractor is a modern-day pastiche of the model “G”.
@@mosriteflyinfingers9252 Yeah. I think the Oggun is made in Alabama, and the other one that I could not remember the name of is the Tilmor, made in Ohio. I grew up using a Farmall Cub, but I think the "G" or any one of its derivatives would be better than the Cub.
My family had one.
I love the allis chalmers content 👍
Great little tractor for the mini weekend farmer, bet if they built these again, they would sell.
Really nice simple tractor.
Learned to drive on one these 8years old
David Brown made a tractor very like this, the 2D
I've seen quite a few for sale here in NC over the years
This is the allis chamber like we spoke this afternoon.
Is older than I
Ellerinize emeğinize yüreğinize sağlık Süper 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
My daddy owned a Allis Chalmers tractor, I wanted it but my brother in law got it instead.
Glad to say I own one of these beauties I can post pictures if you want
I have 4 of em!
I thought I was the only one.lol
There was another company that continued building a tractor of that design, I think in North Carolina.
Wow
I live in Alabama close to the factory where they were made and my mom
Has several photos of her parents and and three of the model Gs on our farm after paw paw came from Europe during ww2 Sadler they sit currently in my dead row machine yard on my farm !
My grandpa owed a G, He framed 5 acors with it, he kept clean and dry. when he passed, it was sold in 71 not sure it went to the right person , to take good care of it
All the best 🇮🇳
Omg 😳 great
I've seen these in person.
I often wondered how much David Browns engineers were influenced by the G when came up with the 2D.
I've got one of them, needs a restoration tho
Do know where can I ship Allis Chalmers model G parts?
Hi, Ihave a tractor like this one that was ship from USA manny times ago. I desire to recover it, so a aske you if you know in which place of USA can I ship parts of it ando of the winsconsin motor?
One thing that made the AC model “G” unique is that it was built in Gadsden, Alabama.
Very
This is a go kart in tractor's clothing😂

@@willh.7755 I want this one , tell me where can I buy?
Hiiiii
@@VwithNature They aren't the most common, I just kept checkin Craigslist and got lucky
@@willh.7755 Will you give me that you have?
"really unique, there aren't really many tractors that were made along this line" there several copy cats made today. But as always these videos seem to be filmed a decade or two ago just looking at quality and such so at filming time that may have been true. And for sure at the time the G was made I believe that was true as well .
@@TECHNOP.V.A.

No wonder why people are holding on these old Gs and offset Farmalls. No one today builds a small row crop tractor except for one called the Tough Built based on the G design.
A friend has one for every year model made and most if not all accessories.
How much par earch
When I was young we had one to work the garden. I was too small to drive it. We called it the " Bumblebee "
Hw much?
NOT revolutionary at all! Also an incomplete concept. The company I grew up in had one that allowed foot steering! This freed the hands up to precision hoeing using 2 articulated arms.
Lol, you have no clue
Hmm... Amazing design
Nice
Unique beautiful
