Donating it to the museum will be much more satisfying for the previous owner. It will keep his memories alive. Looking forward to the restoration series.
Back in the day my Grandfather was one of the very first guys in his little town to get a G. As he was driving it home, his neighbors would slow down and yell, "Ray, go see if you can get your horses back!" Two years later there were a couple dozen G's on his neighbors' fields. Nice find. G's are cool.
Please, please, please take us step by step throughout the restoration! How awesome to see that old girl in such capable hands and saved from the scrapyard. Love your videos.
That is neat!!! The 'G Tractor' was made in my hometown of Gadsden, Alabama. In fact, many of the now departed gentlemen I knew as a child built them! You got you a nice little treasure there.... :)
My parents made a trip to Europe in '71 and according to my dad the gentleman you've described was on that trip with them. Mighty cool because I've got a '49 Model G inherited from my dad sitting in the garage.
I was born in in Gadsden, AL in 1953 while my Dad worked at the Allis Chalmers plant there where this was manufactured. Sweet little truck farm tractor. The last they made it was 1955.
Please make the restoration video as long as possible! My brother and I just rebuilt an antique 1996 craftsman riding mower! Ok, it's not antique but it was fun. She's running great and going into service on my yard in a couple days.
Man that looks awesome Justin, I totally wish I didn't live half way across the country I'd be down there every weekend helping you and Stephen breathe life back into the old girl.
Oh man, it's gonna make Roger's year when he sees it all fixed up! That's a unique li'l tractor! Super glad he kept it around, wouldn't have been worth anything approaching worthwhile at the scrapyard!
I love to see old tractors getting restored. My Dad has beeen doing it for a long time. He tends to go after Allis-Chalmers mostly but has gotten into more unusual tractors later in life like David Browns and Cockshutts. Interesting fact; David Brown used to own Aston Martin a long time ago and that is where the DB in the most popular Astons comes from.
*The Good of the Land* Love what your doing with your museum and restoring these classics. It was great to hear from the man you received the tractor from describe his hardworking father's use of it, kinda got something in my eye right then. Reminded me of my Great grandfather and all his farm implements. Anyway, when I finish restoring my 1957 ideal 20 ft camper I will take the family for a trip to your museum. Thanks for all the excellent videos, keep them coming.
Awesome score for the museum Justin! Those are really neat tractors, there's a few of these in our club. Can't wait to see her come back to life! If you've got the time we're having our tractor show at Ben Gill Park in Terrell this weekend, we'll be there 'till 2pm today. My daughters are demonstrating my dad's antique rope making machine.
Cool find I have the one I got when I was 2 years old all done up now and my dad restored another one. They are really cool tractors. If you have any questions just ask. She is going to look good. 🖒:)
Wow! What a peach, I'm jealous that you are getting to work on something like that. Old agri machinery is built to last and always interesting to work on. That old Allis looks as though it was loved and cherished, the same age as me and maybe in better condition.
I have only seen a very few of these beauties and all seem to be powered by different engines. Continental, Hercules, and Wisconsin. Maybe they were repowered. Thanks for the info.
Unbelievable score, Very lucky you got that beautiful tractor. I can't wait to see it back together. Notify me for your next livestreams so I could donate. Thank you.
You get a picture from him of his Dad and the tractor to display with some history about the tractor after the restore project. Would be a cool added feature for history purposes.
Good video Justin. Very cool tractor. I have faith in you and Stephen that ya'll will do an awesome job on the restoration! Going to by a nice series to watch!
Well done for saving that... Thing is.. Nowadays very few actually care about the older stuff... If it isn't the latest thing, flashing lights and bling then they don't want to know... And when you think that it was someone's pride & joy for years before it was retired...
This looks like fun. BTW, first time I recall seeing any of your work and I enjoy this type of work so you have another new subscriber. Hoping that you will document this along the way and keep all of us updated. Cheers from Indiana, USA.
Looking forward to this somuch I have my grampas allis g that needs the same amount of work I have plows ciltivaters front plow wheel weights. Please make as much footage as you can please
Have you ever been to Lathrop, Mo. the their Lathrop Antique Car, Tractor and Engine Association shows. You will be able to see steam power tractors running and powering a sawmill.
AWW, I was very disappointed. I thought you guys would have it COMPLETELY done by the end of the five and a half minute video. Just kidding man, this a pretty cool video cuz that's a pretty cool tractor. When you get that done, that's really going to be something to behold. GOOD JOB AGAIN on another great video.
nosyaj007 Number one, worth alot of $$, and as much trouble as he seems to have w/gassers, he would want to commit sacrilidge and try to put a Kubota or izuzu in it.Naa, llets see him try a Pugeot, just for kicks.
Glad they got it going but I don't feel that this would be considered much of a rescue. Most of the tractors that are still being used by farmers don't look as good as this tractor. A rescue is where the tires and rims are rotted off and the engine is locked up. I'm speaking from experience. One of the two I have was in this condition when I obtained it back in the 1990s. It had been purchased by my grandfather in 1949 so I was willing to put some time and money into it.
Donating it to the museum will be much more satisfying for the previous owner. It will keep his memories alive.
Looking forward to the restoration series.

I’m so glad to see u guys r saving another one of my favorite tractors allis chalmers made

Super cool of the owner to let this piece of history go to your museum !! Thank you Mr Roger :)
This will be a great restoration to watch. I love it when you team up with Stephen Cox. He is such a knowledgeable guy.
That is neat!!!

Id get it running and leave it like it is. Shows all the hard work its been through
Absolutely love the pace and the way you tell a story with your videos! Looking forward to seeing this get back in the field.
Man that looks awesome Justin, I totally wish I didn't live half way across the country I'd be down there every weekend helping you and Stephen breathe life back into the old girl.
That's a nice story he gave us.
What an awesome piece of machinery. I know it will look great when you are done.

Awesome, thanks for saving the old beast
This is going to be a great project.
The engine is a Continental N62. I've rebuilt one 30 years ago. Parts are still available but getting harder to find. Good luck with it!
I have only seen a very few of these beauties and all seem to be powered by different engines. Continental, Hercules, and Wisconsin. Maybe they were repowered. Thanks for the info.
That thing is beautiful. Can't wait to see it redone
My neighbor has 2 of these. Ones an electric conversion. He uses them on his organic vegetable farm. They are neat tractors. They seam to work well.
Looking forward to seeing this project. Cool little tractor
Looking forward to more videos of this project!
Looks like a great project it will be right at home in the museum. Keep up the great video's
Awesome another tractor to add to museum!!
I used to have one of these g's, had a mower under mine, greatest little tractor.
As a guy who does largish food plots without roundup, that belly cultivator looks excellent.
Unbelievable score, Very lucky you got that beautiful tractor. I can't wait to see it back together. Notify me for your next livestreams so I could donate. Thank you.
Silver King *The Good of the Land*
And now on "Pimp my Tractor"! Wow, that is SOOOOO COOOOOL!
You get a picture from him of his Dad and the tractor to display with some history about the tractor after the restore project. Would be a cool added feature for history purposes.
Looking forward to this series!!!

Very interesting project to come, thank you for sharing your amazing video
For parts try Steiner Tractor Parts and if they don't have what you need they can usually point you in the right direction
Well, ChuckE did not get this one. You guys are now in open competition!
Awesome tractor and cannot wait to see the progress
That is too cool. Looking forward to this resto!
Awesome find 👌
Ok, it's been 4 years, have you finished the model G?
Looking forward to this somuch I have my grampas allis g that needs the same amount of work I have plows ciltivaters front plow wheel weights. Please make as much footage as you can please
What a cool tractor 👍🏻
I spent a lot of time on one of them as a very young man,
Seen one with the back half of a Volkswagen beetle bolted to the trans, gave it a cab.
Thats some good picking
thumbs up and shared super awesome great project
Steiner tractor parts should have just about everything you need to fix the old girl up. Give them a call.
I have four of the G's. One has a three digit number. They were all built in Gadsden Al.
This is gonna be good!!
Do your best my man, a junk can be gold...👏👏🍌
Have you ever been to Lathrop, Mo. the their Lathrop Antique Car, Tractor and Engine Association shows. You will be able to see steam power tractors running and powering a sawmill.
Its a pity you never restored it
Some good lookin paint
Wish I could find a Museum like your place in Texas. Up around Southern Michigan would love to help out after being retiring gets boring.
AWW, I was very disappointed.

The front end of that old tractor is the grandpappy of "Cambergang"
I got one of those too just about the most useful tractors on the farm.
all right now, that's grate ya.
Abom would be a good machinist for this project
Hopefully it was stored with the clutch depressed. If not that's when the work starts!!
Any updates on this tractor?
Would love to see you hydroblast it as part of the restoration.
So cool!!!
Don’t let chucky know you beat him to a tractor

Or convert it to electric as many have done.
Gread job
Well how di it turn out, can't find any other post about restoring it?
I have one of these tractors and was wondering if I could get some more info on your resto
is this project done? Are there more videos of it?
Yep, call Rachel at Steiner. Those folks seem to have or find most everything. Plus she's a fellow UA-camr
Search for "Rachel Gingell".
My uncle has two of these, i believe
Too cool
Should b able to knock it out in a weekend
Do know from where can I ship Allis Chalmers model G parts?
It is rated at 9 hp 4 cylinder the cylinders are something you have to see to believe how small they are
looks like it’s chucke no2
👍👍
Before I get into the video, I'm thinking "tractor? GOTL? guarantee Chuckie 2009 or Steven Cox be in the vid.
Ha! Right at a minute: "Steven Cox and I will do a full restoration on it", lol
you better hide that away from chucke, else that will be another tractor in his collection :P
I’ve got the same tractor a 39 model and still use it. I’ve found a lot of parts at valu-bilt.com. Great little tractors!
G's were only made 48-55
It's almost a toy!
Dozer.
SCHTEEVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They only have 10 hp continental engine
400th like!
Glad they got it going but I don't feel that this would be considered much of a rescue. Most of the tractors that are still being used by farmers don't look as good as this tractor. A friend of mine. Collects them . Has one of every year made and most of the implements for them . Not that rare .
Good project! Thanks for sharing.
