Like I said in the other video... Mine was the same as yours. Split the roof and quarter and bring that raised body line together. That's what I had to so and it looks excellent.
Really nice work, as always Roger. Love your explanations as you show your work. These videos help me a lot in my work on my '68. Wish you and your family a happy christmas!
Your roof rail to quarter misalignment. Your best way to address that is silicone Bronze with the tig. Build the new hump and blend it back in. Sand down and mold them in to each other. I have also done that same area in lead if you more comfortable with that. If you need to see pictures I can show you where I have built them on cars that were rusted out and there was no aftermarket roof offered. Lead and the SIB will be able to be hand sanded to form closer. Minus doing it out of a aluminized bondo style filler those other two options are best I feel.
Man, I hope you don't have to completely reform that drip rail, but I have a feeling that's the answer. Everything is looking like it's coming together.
looks awesome put together like that Roger. I will check my roof alignment to quarter panel at the drip rail edge soon as I am approaching that stage. Hopefully we can get with Jubee and figure it out. If it can be done, he can do it efficiently.
Roger, I have the same issue with the profile of the quarter-to-roof skin profile. I have not addressed it yet, but I will be watching for a suitable fix. Never heard of silicone bronze before, so I imagine that it would be worked like filling a leaded seam? I’ll be watching closely. Nice to see your car coming together!👍

Yeah I can do any of that and am comfortable with silicone bronze, I would love to see pics, thanks.

Yes silicon bronze is welded on the metal and is softer and more moldable than a weld, I used it on the seams of the 64 chevelle I worked on.
Hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas and hoppy new Year Roger
You too
