Except I don’t know how thoughtful it is to hook a shark, reel it in and allow it to crash against the rocks, and then cut the line with the hook still in its mouth. Pretty disrespectful if you ask me
Bob Fishing they are circle hooks so the hooks will come out of the mouth in a little while. Cant say anything for the rocks however idk

Outdoor Chef Life Get a pair (just 2) of small/medium condenser microphones and close-mic them just around the fish you are filleting. Doesn’t have to be very expensive but is crucial that it is in stereo (two mics).
We would be able to hear every sound the knife and meat makes up close in stereo that way. For example, when you slide the knife down the spine, we would hear the knife moving from our left ear to the right if you place the mics at each end of the fish. Ooohh...
Also, you would need pre-amp gain to capture the quiet sounds, but if you are outside then it would also make everything else louder so you would need a quiet surrounding.
Tokyo girl here, 50 years in Alaska fishing. Now in Mexico - loving the great fish here! Fishing and shore foraging is different from Alaska for me.

What more can you say, it's an epic bait and Mahi Mahi boil. It's not every day that you could say, "I caught a Dorado from shore or several Dorado from shore." The Shimano Stella reel is a beast at pulling in ocean fish with no problem and the top of the line that Shimano has to offer in a spinning reel. Your fishing guide did an awesome job putting you on some nice 'trash' fish which we refer to good premium-grade fish here in the states.
The poke you made is not like the typical poke you see on youtube or at the stores of Hawaii. The lemon zest and chili sauce were a nice twist to the poke.
