Out of all these I think I'd pick the penicillin. I absolutely love Whisky Sour and this is pretty much my favourite variation. I usually go for 45ml blended scotch and 15ml peated scotch because I love the smokeyness mixed with the spice from the ginger
Thanks for all the great videos you make showing how to make cocktails. I would like to request that you do one on how to make a Singapore Sling. Thank You
Great video well done as always. Next chapter may be Gin cocktails video. Starting with gin cocktails , first chapter then progress with other spirits like vodka cocktails, rum etc. Also coffe cocktails deserve a video. Thanks
I have no words to thank you...I learnt mixology only by watching your videos....thank u soooo much...you are a wonderful explainer....with classy innovatives and actually simple and easy garnishes....which can be covered even in high rush...wao...thank you
Christ the Penicillin takes me back to my bartending days.. Not making it mind, more ordering them after service at some dodgy Manchester dive bars that always ended up with a lock in. All good fun though! Me and the Mrs have nearly made it through your amazing cocktail field guide which has been an absolute game changer in lockdown Keep it up !
Corpse Reviver is one of my all-time favorites. I'd been making it with Lillet, but recently tried it with Cocchi Americano after hearing some of that discussion. That's a great variation!
Hey just wanted to say I love the channel - and I really appreciate the outtakes at the end of such a slick presentation; makes me feel better when I'm futsing around knocking a drink together :)
I really like when you talk about the history of the drinks and the different versions, like in this one with the different types of martinis. I'd love more videos in that vain. I'm really enjoying this series and the sister channel, nice work
What a great series of videos! I like that you've sorted this by difficulty. Most other instructional videos never say anything on how you can go wrong, and honestly look easy enough on video. I've definitely messed up some drinks in the past! Great that you have tasting notes as well on your sister channel =)
Nice!! If i only get to be served one cocktail from the book 💕 i would like to have a Mai Tai for am a sucker for a tasty rum cocktail (But would love me a Daiquiri as well 😊)
I find it a bit easier to make a combined ginger-honey syrup by grading some ginger into a heat proof container, squeezing in some honey and stirring it with hot water off the kettle until it has the right consistency. Then I let it steep for a bit before I strain out the ginger pulp (making sure to squeeze out as much as I can). It's fairly quick and easy to make and even goes really well with tea
The Winston Churchill martini: pour the gin over ice, look at the vermouth bottle or nod in the direction of France, then stir gin in ice and strain into a cocktail glass.
I don’t know if you’re gonna do subscriber cocktails again but here’s one of mine that I’m super proud of Corn ‘n Soil 1.5 oz / 50 ml bourbon .75 oz / 25 ml blackstrap rum .75 oz / 25 ml falernum .5 oz / 15 ml lime .25 oz / 7.5 ml simple .25 oz / 7.5 ml fernet branca 4 dashes angostura Shake & serve over crushed ice & garnish with a mint sprig, lime wheel & freshly grated nutmeg
Yeh the Penicillin, the Corpse Reviver and Chrysanthemum...still missing a few ingredients and hence not made, but they have been waiting to be done for like a few months now :D
last shot is me when a customer asks for a gin basil smash after the basil on the rail has run out and i ponder wether i go look in the kitchen for another bush of basil or just tell everyone else we're out of basil for the night and try to make them drink gin and tonic instead. and i will go and look anyway, can't leave em hanging after all. and gin basils are fun to make. they always come in pairs and with entourage though.
Very good video as always. I'm interested in a cocktail called the Silver Bullet, it will be wonderful if you could make a video about it. BTW, my favourite cocktail is Tom Collins, so if you can rate all gin you have in a video I would appreciate it.
We will be doing spirit reviews on our sister channel, The Distilled Truth 👍🏻 I haven’t had a Silver Bullet for a long time, so we’ll definitely try one soon.
Got to be the Negroni as all time favourite but I'm partial to a daiquiri/Mai tai even in a dry martini (gin if course) Would love to see cocktails based if 1 ingredient or technique (ones are aren't that well known e.g. Dragon fruit/Fat washing)
Here is a subscriber cocktail: Called the “Exquisite” - 50ml Grey Goose vodka - 20ml Cocci Americano - 10ml Camomile tea syrup - 10ml lemon juice - half a strawberry dropped into the shaker (not muddled) Method: add ice and roll between the shakers for a few times, then double strain into absinthe rinsed cognac glass Garnish with orange twist
Fir the Corpse Revolver could we add Agave Syrup instead of Cherry mascherano? Any other replacement for Liilet blanc for beginners? Thank you for the wonderful channel and teaching us how to make wonderful cocktails.
I think agave might be too strong a flavour to add to a corpse reviver, but I’ll give it a go. I guess martini bianco or Cinzano might work, instead of lillet?
With the blended scotch in the Penicillin, you reckon a *decent* scotch would be AT LEAST to be used here...I mean, I have some Claymore blended but I am sincerely afraid to use it for I fear that it would ruin the drink. Monkey Shoulder? Or...?
Monkey Shoulder would be good. I don’t think Claymore would “ruin” the drink, just might not not be the best of the best. Use whatever you’ve got. Definitely doesn’t need a single malt 👍🏼
Can you try this cocktail made from me Havana club rum Anejo blanco 40ml Passoa passion fruit liquer 20 ml Papaya pure 20 ml Coconut syrup or pure 20 ml Shake overi ice
How do people know that Kina Lillet is more like coche americano and not lillet blanc? Seeing how the kina lillet can no longer be purchased. While lillet blanc is made by the same company that made kina lillet and they state its a modern day version of kina lillet. lillet blanc still has quinine in it, just a slightly reduced amount.
What's your favourite Cocktail from the book and why?
That martini recipe… That seems like Alton Brown’s 😏
@@1218Draco Well he's a copycat!
Corpse Reviver 2
Out of all these I think I'd pick the penicillin. I absolutely love Whisky Sour and this is pretty much my favourite variation. I usually go for 45ml blended scotch and 15ml peated scotch because I love the smokeyness mixed with the spice from the ginger
Corpse Reviver #2 is up there or the Martini as you can adjust it so easily to your own preference even if that preference changes...
Thanks for all the great videos you make showing how to make cocktails. I would like to request that you do one on how to make a Singapore Sling. Thank You
I love that this channel is posting again! I always enjoy the videos
Great video well done as always. Next chapter may be Gin cocktails video. Starting with gin cocktails , first chapter then progress with other spirits like vodka cocktails, rum etc. Also coffe cocktails deserve a video. Thanks
Maybe check out some of our older vids. Think most of those are covered x
Never tried grabbing my freezer from the glass , LOL ! , Great video
The Mai Tai looks amazing! Keep up the great videos!
You should do a video having a look at the top cocktail bars in London, talking to members of staff and looking at their speciality's
I have no words to thank you...I learnt mixology only by watching your videos....thank u soooo much...you are a wonderful explainer....with classy innovatives and actually simple and easy garnishes....which can be covered even in high rush...wao...thank you
You're welcome! Thanks for watching!
Very Nice. My favorites are the Penicillin and the Corps Reviver No 2.. I also love that mini cube tray.
It’s cool right! My new favourite toy 🙏🏼
YES. Finally I see someone else that uses the spoon upside down to stir. I'm no crazy. haha. Great video. I learnt some new stuff. Thank you.
The ginger syrup sounds great. Good job!
“I’m gonna go grab my freezer from the glass...” 🤣🤣🤣 that was epic!!!
You could say... ICE COLD!!!!
We have glasses in freezers in glasses. Easy mistake to make 🤦🏻♂️
The handbook is awesome! I'm an Ex-Military home barman and I really liked it!!!
Once again top notch production and commentary showing your love for the content. Thanks for the part 3. Looking forward to future videos
Another great video. Next video? Would love a tour of the bar. I’m looking at building my own so layout ideas would be great. 👍
We’ll be doing a tour soon. Thanks for watching 🙏🏼
And yes even loved your style of making drinks ...in less time...
Whoa an old fashioned Ricard jug !! I've looking for that for years !
Really nice vidéos ! Keep going !
We’ve got 6, all different sizes 😉
Man I'm in love with this ice mold! Outakes were legendary! Cheers!
Tasty!!! Come see us over on the DT!

What Manchester dive bars are serving penicillins after hours? 😂 Sounds like a great place! 🥴
I prefer Cocchi Americano in my Corpse Revivers no 2. Slightly more depth to the flavor
I would love to order a Corpse Reviver at that amazing place!!! Love the channel from the beginning!!!
Thank you 🙏🏼
Corpse Reviver is one of my all-time favorites. I'd been making it with Lillet, but recently tried it with Cocchi Americano after hearing some of that discussion. That's a great variation!
Good to know. I’m keen to try! 🙏🏼
I’m still making your version of Mai Tai, I just use a spiced rum like Kraken - it is always a hit. Thanks for this simpler version
Thanks for all the amazing content! Keep up the amazing work

I like knowing history and variations of a drink. I hope he does one on the Singapore Sling.
Liqeuer based drinks please..like a Japanese Slipper. .thanks!..and keep it up and stay crafty!
The Negroni and Penicillin are my most frequently made out of these 15.

That is the perfect Martini for me. Finally someone who recommends lemon over olives and a reasonable but not overpowering amount of vermouth.
I'm a sucker for ginger and for scotch, so Penicillin. Even if it's a bit of a handful to make.
Tricky! See.
Worth the effort 👍🏼

Next, party drinks that can be batched
Don’t really do batches, but I’ll do some research 👍🏼
I love the handbook and your new bar! 🔥
Thank you 🙏🏼
I don’t know if you’re gonna do subscriber cocktails again but here’s one of mine that I’m super proud of
Corn ‘n Soil
1.5 oz / 50 ml bourbon
.75 oz / 25 ml blackstrap rum
.75 oz / 25 ml falernum
.5 oz / 15 ml lime
.25 oz / 7.5 ml simple

4 dashes angostura

that bar is a dream
A dream come true 😊

I have had the penicillin and the corpse reviver no 2. Loved them both. My favorite is the penicillin.
CHRYSANTHEMUM sounds really interesting, gotta replenish my dry vermouth stocks and try this one
It’s a winner 🙏🏼

Same here! Close call though 😊

Collateral damage x
That detailed drip tray is the best. Where’d you get it???
Lucky E-bay find!
so a corpse reviver series for Hallowe'en?
Good idea! 🧟♀️
I would pay to take this class ....or maybe just to watch him make drinks ha and drink them I know he dosent waste those no way
Luckily UA-cam is free 😊
I'd pay for a whole class of out-takes only.
Cocktail / Drinkkikanava there’s plenty of those 😂😂😂

Please make a Bloody Mary....
Penisilin 💓
Im really confused as to why you do the tasting notes on another video that is on a different channel.
Because we're building another channel about the broader spectrum of all drinks, not just cocktails.
Some viewers just want the specs! 🤓
