I see this lot. A basic movement missed. You should always look before you turn. The fact that so many people are not looking tells me it is not taught.
Gkr is not taken seriously because of poor standards. Should look, then rotate toward line of travel and then move 45ish degrees transitioning through zenkuts before pulling the hips to generate the power to break the attackers grip.
@@spinoneintliano 100% agree, personally it's such a shame seeing these "black belts" do saifa in this manner, if an okinawan master saw these "black belts" doing Saifa, they would most definitely end up laughing
There is a reason why they do not look before the turn especially when Sensei Bennett instructs them not to and is targeting slows slow and fast's fast. I have trained with some of these Sensei's and they will throw in derivations to cause the mind to think I have had this happen when Sensei Rowlings wanted to see 2 moves to every count on a kata, I can assure you that when you line up and bow in.... with these Sensei's you will be challenged.
@@EmilyHarvey Just research issues with gokan, put the word gokan into a Japanese dictionary, tell a Japanese person you do gokan, you'll see what I mean when you research the word
@@EmilyHarvey I'm guessing they told you to take down your your last post, they are very controlling, you won't be be a black belt in goju or shotokan, please research Mc dojo gokan, you won't be able to ask them questions they will just deny it all

wow! awesome
Research issues with gkr before you say awesome
For black belts that's a bit poor.
agreed
But it is GoKanRyu which is a bastardised form of authentic Goju Ryu so it’s to be expected really….
@@jujitusuka Tradition goju ryu karate is 2nd to kyokoushin only
Would like you to elaborate further please. I thought it was pretty good . Easy to criticise
@scottdennis456 well if you know anything about karate you wouldn't need an explanation.
Nice
Just a misinterpretation of goju Kai saifa
Didn't know Ellen Degeneres was a black belt..
