I've been working for a DSP in Connecticut for a little over 2 years now. The only training we had was watching all the videos and then doing the test at the end. We never had to take a road test for the blue vans. The nursery routes started off using the smaller white vans after that they moved us to the bigger vans.
I have a road test in about a hour lol I'm trying not to be nervous because I've driven bigger vehicles before but I've never had the pressure of a job that I really want while driving those bigger vehicles
Just took the driving test. On day 2 here in Asheville. 27 degrees off site about 5 miles from Amazon warehouse. We were allowed to go thru and continue the training , training, training videos while sitting in our cars. ( thank god) . 9 of us. 20 minutes in van doing cone backing thru a course. I’m 54. Drove all my life. Also landscaping business back 12 ft trailer and 18 ft truck every day. This test Amazon test is very difficult. Almost beyond believe. Backing through football fields of cones numbered. Weaving in and out. According to the app on device. It’s tougher than I would have ever imagined. I believe I failed. But the instructor liked me or they are desperate. Then finished test told to go back to class room and finish videos, videos, videos, videos, and more videos. 2.5 hours more on day 2 finally got to final exam. Give you 2 shots to get 80%. I told my self. Fuck it I got 1 shot. I’m very frustrated. Was last student to finish. 2 others did not come back. So they failed. Wow. On to day three! Damn!😁
Just took my driving test. It was kinda hard! Plus im like borderline dyslexic at least i felt like it tryna back that van thru the cones haha. Im fuckin shocked i didn't hit a cone. Fr
Driving one of those delivery vans is pretty easy, I drove 18 wheelers over the road , the CDL test is definitely not easy at all and it has to be taken first before you even get to see a truck, and if anyone has driven an 18 wheeler then you know lol one wrong move on the road or just back the truck up to dock could be a disaster and that’s something that one has to consider, my last job before applying for a Delivery job at Amazon was not good, I was on call 24/7 365 and was driving a full size Chevy 3500 work Van with no backup cameras and a Van full of Windshields and other assorted glass for vehicle’s, it was a thankless job as well, no matter how good of a job I did it wasn’t good enough for the customer, and standing in the cold and inclement weather sometimes replacing a windshield or other glass that needs replacing is not a job I enjoyed and the pay wasn’t to good either $16.00 an hour with no raise and only partial benefits, so to not make this to long working as an Amazon delivery driver is going to be great .
When I started at Amazon I had my 2 day of video and at my 3 days they tell me sorry your trainer call off last minute so they give me the key and the phone and tell me good luck and I was delivering packages
@@Ionut314 and funny enough I’m downing it for a year now and now I’m there number one drainer for new drivers and I trained about 50% of our current drivers lol
I think you mentioned before you were a mail carrier. I’d be interested in a video on working for the postal service vs Amazon and pros and cons of both. Thanks!
I start my test in a week, I wonder how the driving test will be for me. I drove a pick up in Manhattan for a few years when I worked there so I think I’ll be good.
Wassup man, thank you for this! Was wondering what the breaks looked like during a 10 hr shift? And can u bring your lunch bag and gallon of water in the van?
If you had the van with the camera! Only look at the camera to find the cone, you cameras will show you hitting the cones for sure, but you will see in your mirrors that you have plenty of room! The cameras through me completely off! Somebody in my class failed today and I ran over cones and never been in a car accident, but they did tell me not to trust the cameras because “they are wrong” but it’s distantly off, they are only good to see behind you

And they never replied either hahaha I'm just winging it in like 2 days for my first day lol. Only my flex app and crew app work. Anyone else go through that?
I'm really not worried about the driving test I'm worrying about the computer test what happens if you failed the computer test two times I heard you do not get a third time
