  • After a four-week trial and nearly three and a half years since the death of 6-year-old Corey Micciolo, his father will be sentenced Friday for his son’s death.
At the end of May, a jury found New Jersey father Christopher Gregor guilty of aggravated manslaughter and child endangerment in the death of his 6-year-old son, who he forced to do abusive treadmill workouts.

No one forget a judge gave this man a child to kill, even AFTER seeing these videos. That judge is an accomplice as far as I am concerned. CPS is WORTHLESS across the nation.

Then please consider fostering children. It’s easy to blame CPS but there is a worldwide devastating lack of decent foster carers. I am in Australia and started fostering teenagers for exactly this reason. WE are the people who have to provide a safe home for these children. CPS has to put them somewhere, its not just a matter of removing them from a bad home, and then miraculously they are in a better one. Whoever reads this, please consider fostering, its very, very worthwhile.

@@CarylGracie this case doesn't need a foster parent, just for the non-abusive parent to have custody.
I love fostering, but it wouldn't be necessary here. Just need a judge who has a shred of decency and a couple brain cells to rub together to form the thought, "Maybe abusing children is bad."

100 reports and nothing why are the police and child services not also in court for this murder? . Everyone around this boy only mom did anything After 20 reports I believe I would have taken matters into my own hands he was big but a equalizer would straighten that out.. I hope he gets everything and more he deserves but I want charges on everyone except mom. She tried so hard . I'm sick of these stories any person who knew about this should be publicly shamed and then charged with 2nd degree murder 100 reports 100!!!!!

I coached youth sports for a year and I'll never do that again. So many parents seemed to be living their sports/fitness fantasies vicariously through kids that would do anything they ask just to get their love and acceptance in return. Let a six-year-old climb a tree, draw on the furniture, or make a mess. No matter how old they are they'll never be that young again. Celebrate childhood.

Correction: Corey never died from a seizure, as a result of the treadmill torture. He died of a bruised lung, lacerated liver and torn heart through blunt force trauma at the hands of his father BECAUSE his mother had reported the treadmill abuse to DCP and they were finally looking into the matter.

Kid no look 'fat' to me. He's quick on the treadmill and actually quite good. Every parent, I led to believe, have dream for kid and forcing kid to run to punish him, without like Messi poster on wall, it severe abuse. Kid just running to fend off MORE abuse. This dad just despise his kid. Some kids have different father, and they get abuse from other sibling AND parent. And. Kid may have to figure this out on his or her own. For some reason, this dad REALLy have it in for this cute little kid.

It’s illegal to push your son to be more strong physically and mentally and teach him how to work hard and get back up when you’re knocked down. Delusional country of soft people I’m scared for the future. Just because you guys are soft and unfit doesn’t mean everybody else has to be too. The kid obviously had other undiagnosed problems, kids his age are playing football taking more hits and getting up, this was a freak accident from a parent pushing there son to be a better human, but soft little babies will say it’s abuse. I’m glad I was raised by people who taught me to work hard and not give up, I wouldn’t want to end up like these soft humans in the comments who’ve never even seen what hard work is. It’s actually hilarious if you think this is abuse you probably had the most comfortable life turn you into a unmotivated fast food worker.

This case is really sad and probably painful for all parties involved. It’s unclear exactly how much physical exertion this kid had to go through just from this limited footage we have here but it’s always important to get professional advice on how much physical exertion is okay with kids or whether they have any physical limitations or if they’re healthy enough for exercise at that level before trying to enforce or encourage such a routine. Unfortunately for this father, his possible lapse in good judgement isn’t likely to garner him much favor in court when the child died as a result of it. To some guys this might not seems like an extremely high amount of physical exertion for a young healthy kid, but men have to remember that just because they might be in extremely fit conditioning and have a lot of muscle gains from years of work in the gym, it doesn’t mean your kid is going to have your same level of fitness stamina or muscle conditioning. Just like how you built your own physique over many years of training, your kid has to build up to that level gradually over time too. It shouldn’t be a crime to try to instill fitness, healthy diet and exercise habits in your kids, but you gotta know their limits. The laws don’t care about whether you had good intentions in your methods or not if your kid gets hurt; only that your kid was hurt because of your actions. So i definitely think this father should face consequences if the Prosecution is able to confirm through all evidence that his actions were a contributing factor in the death of the child. I’m also pretty sure that the father feels a shitload of regret and remorse too. At least I would truly hope he feels extreme remorse over it.
