I looked up his hometown. I was right about champion boxers. They tend to come from either cooler places or mountains, elevation. Exception is usually big body people and who get alpha status. Nobody harassed tall/big as if they are smaller people and who get mistreated for being small. Much easier for taller people to do the same job at higher walk speed, easier them get girls, and easier them get leadership roles.

That's because most athletes don't subscribe to "race". It's about skill and character, as it should be. But honestly, most "black" people don't subscribe to the racial separation theories. With us, it's always about character, regardless of the rhetoric you hear or read. As long as you come correct, you part of the family.. the human family. We rock with that. But as I continue to live, I find this attitude to be prevalent in all peoples, not just black people. Maybe the world is not as bad as the TV tells us.

Meh, all he did at just 23 yrs old is beat like 3 future Hall of Famers.
LITTLE red Lopez (one of my favorites), Wilfred Bazooka Gomez and Azumah, the Professor Nelson.
Also beat a very good boxer, Ruben Castillo....etc... puro Sal Sanchez🥊

Salvador Sánchez was a monster. I remember him vs the then rising star, the great Ghanaian Azumah Nelson, one of Africa’s best ever. In a true epic duel, Azumah Nelson fought like a lion until the 15th and final round, when Sánchez stopped him. Thanks Roy Jones and Mike for reminding everyone about the boxing immortal Salvador Sánchez (RIP).

@@jorgepuga8104Azumah Nelson took that fight on short notice, he gave Sanchez his toughest fight. That was Sanchez's last fight and Azumah Nelson wanted a rematch but Sanchez died in a car crash a few weeks after their fight and Azumah never got his rematch so it's understandable why he didn't get over that loss.
