Very tidy job mate, well done! Simple, compact but still got a lot packed into it. I notice you have not only "yellow" light bulbs but the ability to dim the main ones - that's exactly what we would like. When we go camping and set up our nice, gently lit camp, sometimes a neighbouring site suddenly lights up like Close Encounters of the Third Kind with the over the top dazzling blue-/white light. We went and checked new campers and vans put at a show recently and apparently the desired "look" these days resembles the inside of a high class brothel! Give me some timber in there any day - love the van mate, I'm sure you'll have a lot of great trips in it.
Thanks Dave, we looked at new vans at a show also and thought the very same. Lol. That's when I decided we could do it cheaper and more individual with the help and advice from other UA-cam friends who have done similar. Now I am considering a tow bar and rack for a small dirt bike or similar. In the video the bulb does have a yellow glow, I am sure they were branded as "warm" effect instead of "cool" which is a brighter white. Hope you are doing well mate and thanks for viewing and commenting. Great to hear from you. :)
Thanks Mark, I hope so too. It will be busy here once lockdown is lifted and I read Spain will have a significant influx from the UK also, but we are waiting another year or so before venturing abroad. 👍
Absolutely amazing mate, great video too. You've done an fantastic job. Nice to see the similarities with my van but loved seeing all the stuff you did differently. That toilet cupboard I do like a lot, sure beats lifting it out from under the bed like I have to. Your wife is right about the fairy lights haha no van is complete without them. Love all the wee homely touches. Cheers for the shout out, much appreciated. 😊 Happy camping. Atb Dave
Many thanks mate, your van was my inspiration. I did have doubts, but kept watching your video saying I can do this. Going to Machrihanish next weekend, it's great to stay in, so peaceful and cosy. Cheers mate. :))
Hello! Wow! A nice van. Many functional storages. Toilet and electricity. Many lights. A space where you can relax outdoors. It's a great camper. Thank you my friend (^^) /
Clothes are kept under the pull out bed on one of the sliding drawers and cooking ware is kept in the kitchen unit cupboards and wardrobe. It has been used for trips longer than one week. I have a coolbox that gets put outside when we arrive at camp. I also use the one ring gas canister stoves for cooking, I have 2 of those. It's ideal for a day or as long as we wish. Thanks for commenting and viewing. :)
Hi, lovely van. I am in the middle of reno for a Trafic and have been looking for ages for a mesh section that fits over the bottom barn door trim recess, please please can you send me the link for where you go yours? Thank you :-)
Hi Jemma, they are called Nova luggage net large. I bought them here, but they have increased the price. Thanks for your comment. www.grasshopperleisure.co.uk/luggage-net-410-x-200-15190-p.asp
Hey nice van ... we have the same curtains but could do with adding some extra blackout .. dis you use any special material as the one that comes with it is super stretchy.
Thanks Blake, it's the same super stretchy material with some blackout material sown on by my neighbour, just make sure you only sow it at the top and leave the blackout material loose at the bottom as there is no stretch in it.
Thanks for your comment Dan. The sofa bed is 640mm in seating position and pulls out to 1000mm in bed position. If I were to do it again I would alter those sizes so that the bed when pulled out just meets the side unit. It's short by about 200mm.
What a lovely van! I'm looking at converting an older Vivaro myself, this has given me some inspiration and thoughts. Can I ask where you said you had got your curtains from, they look really nice...
Thanks for your comment Martin. I bought them from Kiravans. Good luck with your conversion. www.kiravans.co.uk/collections/vivaro-trafic-primastar-2001-2014-curtains
They are called Nova luggage net large. I got them from Leisure outlet for £9.99 each, looks like they are now £15 each. Only a few places supply them that size. They are a German brand. 👍

Thanks Nathan, my bed length is 6ft 4ins. It could be made longer by moving the tall cupboard up towards the rear doors a few inches or if it wasn't there at all it would be over 7ft.
Thanks Michael, you would lose heat in the winter and be too warm on a sunny day with just the standard windows. But if you blacked some of them out and insulated from the inside it would be fine. You can buy a tinted film that covers clear glass. 👍
That's a really nice conversion. One of the best Vivaro layouts I've seen 👍👍
Thanks for watching and commenting, appreciated. 👍

I think that is a very smart result. I like the internal colour scheme. All the best for many miles of great camping 👍
Many thanks, just back from Machrihanish. It's a great way to explore the country. 😊👍
Nice work, not too complicated but has everything you need. Well done 👍
Thanks Noel, best way, keep it simple. 👍

@@irishrover63 Well glad you stuck with it as you've built a van to be proud of. Aye it looks very cosy. Have a great time at Machrihanish. 🤗
I love this van you've done a great job workmanship to a very high standard, good layout I'm planning on do one myself on similar lines.
Thanks so much Barry, good luck with your van build. 👍🏼

Thanks my friend, it has kept me busy during the pandemic. Hope to use it for many trips next year. Take care, ride safe. 🙋🏻♂️👍
Perfect. Very clean too.
Sorry for the delayed reply, didn't get informed by UA-cam.Thanks for viewing and commenting.
Really like the van mate, really well thought out, 🚌👍
Thanks mate, it's my first build. I'll check out your latest video. 👍
I put my bed at back but Indian ide done it down the side like yours, really nice job you've done there
Thanks Patrick, i don't think it would work for us in the back. 👍
Nice conversion. I did not see any place for your clothes and cooking ware. I presume the van is a day trip van.

Hi mate, great van and exactly how I'm planning my van out give or take. Well done. What width bed have you got in there? Thanks

Well done, a lot of work there, where did you find those door latches/handles? They are amazing.
Sorry for the delayed reply Grant, didn't get informed by UA-cam.Thanks for viewing and commenting.
I bought them from eBay.
@@irishrover63 no probs mate, really nice job, you should be proud.
Love the mesh nets on the back doors, I'd love some for my camper, do you have a link? 👍

Please tel me where you get the mesh nets you've put on your door and what are they called I cant find them anywhere! Lovely van by the way 👍

nice well done when are we going fishing 🎣 👍 lol
I need to get a rod first. 👍
Hello, Is this the short or long wheel base version. Very impressive conversion!
Hi Ian, it's a long wheel base. Thanks. 👍
Great conversion, whats the length of your bed? Would someone 6ft+ be able to sleep comfortably?
Thanks Nathan, my bed length is 6ft 4ins. It could be made longer by moving the tall cupboard up towards the rear doors a few inches or if it wasn't there at all it would be over 7ft.
@@irishrover63 thanks for the reply, am considering getting one but stuck between swb or lwb, is yours swb?
I have the LWB, there is 400mm of a difference in length, go for a LWB if you can get one.👍
Brilliant job. Has the van been reliable mechanically?
Thanks Chris, has been so far. 👍
hi great build. would the 6 or 9 seater be any good or would it be less insulation due to windows? many thanks
Thanks Michael, you would lose heat in the winter and be too warm on a sunny day with just the standard windows. But if you blacked some of them out and insulated from the inside it would be fine. You can buy a tinted film that covers clear glass. 👍
Ah great thanks for that.any reason why shouldn't use a medium or longer vivaro? Thanks
Use any size Vivaro or Trafic. There is only 400mm difference between the SWB and LWB versions. I have the LWB.
Brill much appreciated.😁
It's always great when you can find somebody else to do the work
I done 90% of this conversion myself, getting other companies to do the work costs a lot.
How deep is the kitchen cabinet?
400mm
Did you like the conversion?
@@irishrover63 best setup when it comes to space usage in vivaro or trafic.
Hey, do you know the dimensions of the inside? Looking to do my own vivaro conversion!
What inside dimensions do you mean?
How wide and long is that bed mate
It's 1.8m long and 640mm wide as a sofa and pulls out to 1m wide in bed mode.
@@irishrover63 thanks for this. I wanted to see if it would be double bed width but that would be too narrow
Myself and my wife fit on it quite comfortably. It would have to almost be the full width of the van to be double bed size.
@@irishrover63 You must love your wife then lol. 1m is only single bed size
Can u squeeze the 500x in there😏🤗
Don't think so Terry, but I am considering a bike rack at the rear for a small dirt bike. 👍
Disnae sound Irish... 🤷
Born in Scotland, parents are Irish. The best of both. Lol. 😉
@@irishrover63 that's the Dre combination mate. 🏴❤️🇮🇪
