Absolutely love the deck.Unfortunetely to work you need 100% some hecarim's and i haven't got any.Any wildcards turned to be either elise's or thresh''s :(
Why does the control deck "Ultimate control" stated as having zero champions in 4:45? The screen shot at 4:48 shows that there is in fact 3 champion cards in the deck.
If you've ever played control in MTG, you'll notice that the Ultimate Control deck feels more like a midrange deck tbh. Still very fun deck to play though, as long as you keep your Nexus life at a healthy enough number, you can win by drowning pretty much every opponent in card advantage.
The first version of that control deck was championless before Braum was added in. At this point in meta people run all kinds of things in Shadow+Frej control decks - usually some combo of Championless, Braum, Anivia, and Tryndamere.
I have a 9-1 shadow ionia deck I use, its fun, and having late game cards like the ruination can completely turn around a game, especially if you let them stack up on important cards on the field.

Davernie I would say some of the basic decks will help you climb the lower ranks, but if you want something proper competitive- you will need to use some of the new cards! Especially as lots of cards in the video have been buffed/nerfed since so meta has definitely changed
i have been playing a yasuo deck to good success rly gotta controll the board with the cc and quick attack cards and defend with the squishys and some huge units (there is one that gets +1|1 for every stun/return effect)
Thats a really nice guide, super informative! One correction: Mentor into Zed does not spawn two quick attacking 4/3s as Zed Level 1's Shadows will not have his keywords. This combo will still spawn 2 4/3s, one with quick attack and the potential to become more powerful on Turn 3 though, still incredibly tough to deal with properly.
@@GleipB Correct but these are all very important resources, The Box can't even be used by an aggressive deck because of the mana cost for example. It can definitely be countered but demacia/freljord control suffers hard.

I have a deck that is all about control and wait for a combo, that is play anivia and then the 6 cost zed card that summons 2 ephimerals of a unit, what this does is that even though the anivias die, they turn into an egg that then turns into a 3 anivias, in which they can block without any punish and every attack just deals 6 damage to everything incluiding the nexus
There definitely is a meta right now and it's Ionia + Demacia/Freljord Elusives. It's most likely the strongest deck right now, buffing Elusives above 4 health makes them very difficult to interact with since they can't be blocked by most units and will a lot of the time take at least 2 removal cards to take down since most of them atm only deal 2 to 3 damage. Combine that with the fact that Ionia has Deny to protect your creatures against spell interaction and you got yourself a deck that can put lethal on board very easily without much counterplay.
@@Kirin_the_Bouncing_Unicorn They are cheap to build and they are solid but they are not tier1, they have a hard time winning vs any good aggro deck, or a heavy control deck and they are also easy to tech against if you are a midrange deck, i have about 80% winrate with my elite midrange deck and i run 6x bounce or hard removal and 9 challenger units.
Ive been aggressively pursuing pure shadow isles builds (not using ANY cards of another faction) been playing around mostly ephemeral cards and ways to abuse them (such as bonding kalista to a shark chariot and watching her fill up the board with chariots every swing) most noticeably its much easier to trigger level ups for kalista thresh AND hecarim (levelling up kalista is easy with a haunted relic). All in all, people may think its dumb to limit myself to one faction, but i like being a purist and the challenge of getting them to work, ive had some success (i have a playset of every s. Already old Meta unfortunately... a lot changed in 24 hours haha Still a great Vid though, you’ll see these decks and the cards in them all over so it’s worth learning about em.
Elusive decks are most prominent, either Frejlord Braum Zed version or Demacia version (*goes either Zed / Fiora or Championless). Hecarim Zed decks can be really strong with good Death Marks and high player skill / meta knowledge. Best Spider deck atm is probably the Aggro version, Darius+Elise and has a decent matchup against popular Elusive decks. Dawnspiders can still perform well (especially at low ranks) but it’s not top tier... Dawn + Elusive build is way better and counters dawnspiders. Control decks with Frejlord + Shadow are still decent but have a really tough time when the other decks draw well... shadow in particular is very exploitable by player knowledge, like when to not let his units die - Anivia Frejlord decks are a bit better in current meta imo. Elusive matchup is a bIT dependent on DENY use, but can definitely compete against it. I’ve also seen some more complete Elite decks (often all Demacia) popping up that seems to have potential, haven’t run it myself though.
