  • In a world where our brains sometimes send misleading warning signals, persistent pain can often lead to incorrect assumptions about our bodies. For instance, experiencing pain during bowel movements on your period might make you think your bowel is stuck to your uterus due to severe endometriosis. But is this always the case?
In this 4 minute video, we explore how expert sonologists use precise ultrasound techniques to determine what’s truly there-and what’s not. This isn’t about denying your pain but about correcting the narrative. Pain is always real! By revealing the real story through ultrasound, we can help retrain the brain, fostering a true understanding of your condition. Remember, accurate diagnosis leads to better management and relief.

Great video, this is exactly the theme of my week! I have had surgery for endometriosis and adenomyosis but I continued to have abdominal pain that radiates down to my pelvis. Long story short, I am finally going to see a gastroenterologist to sort my stomach out. Surgery made me feel 100% better than before (energy levels returned, reduced pain, etc) BUT there was still returning abdominal pain that I found out was related to my GI tract. (I have previously thought that this additional stomach pain was related to my uterus or ovaries😬)
