- This is an overview of my Moebius Galactica kit that was detailed with the Acreation decal set and the Photoetch kit. The Photoetch set also comes with the Galactica name tag.
These were purchased from Culttvman.com.
Thanks for the kind comments! Yes I used Testors Dull Coat after it was completed. I prefer dull vs gloss. Just a personal preference.
I love your videos. I am coming back to the hobby of my youth. I am now 53 and very interested in these Battlestar Galactica Models. I am not familiar at all with the paints and effects needed, and I am grateful for your explanations and how to videos. I do not have an air brush, but plan on using spray cans and doing the details and smaller parts by hand. I watched your other video on the Cylon Raider, and have placed an order for that kit and the Tamiya spray can base metal silver. Thanks again for these informative videos.

Nice work!...Just got mine in. Definitely going to light it! I also got the photo etch and decals. Going to paint the aztecs where space allows, but as you mentioned, the decals will definitely come in handy in those tight area's where you just couldn't get to. Again, you did an amazing job with this kit!
While this model looks great, I'm an old guy...I like the originals from the 70's. Still looking good though.

Hello! :O) You've done a great job with this kit! I have the same kit but by Revell of Germany in which they used the same molds from Moebius. Its sits in my litttle stash. Did you use the photo etch galactica print on the pod bay and if so how did you do it?
I did...this model was done so long ago but if I remember correctly, they're just plates that come with the photo etch kit that are embossed with the name. The plates are simply glued onto the model and the white decals were placed onto them accordingly.
I recently bought Acreation decals for BSG & found the atzec markings are if brown accent colour instead of gray I see in yr review. Did you receive yr decals sheet in grey or brown?
Hi Robin. I bought mine quite a few years ago and they were clearly grey. I wonder why they would be brown. I would check with Acreation just to make sure this wasn't a mistake. The only thing I can think of is that they mean for the decals to now give the kit a rusted appearance??? Not sure.

Tks for yr reply. If it's made in brown now , then I wud be disappointed. The CGI Galactica clearly shown as grey accent. I hv emailed Rob & waiting for his reply. Tks again for emailing them as well.
