This is part 1 of my Moebius BSG 1/32 scale Raptor. This video features a demo with adding photoetch parts and details the building of the model's interior
Interesting indeed , the show revolved around a retired battlestar , what if their was a Mercury class battlestar being built to replace the Jupiter class as is what is being done today with real ships just as CVN 80 replaces CVN65 , opens up the possibility of another series, indeed interesting .
Thanks Dale...you know the pics I came across all looked silver with gold trim which is why I painted them this way. Doing further searches did lead me to some pics of gold colored helmets though. Oh well.
What exactly is a "glazing putty"? It doesn't look like the classic putty for scale model (for example the tamiya putty). It looks very smooth and shiny. Is it better then classic scale model putty?
MrBMBuilder thanks and totally agree. I actually thought about reshaping the arms but there isnt a lot room in the cockpit which limits what you can do with them. As is they’re designed to hover over the instruments. Also now that i have the cockpit canopy on they’re kind of obscured. Thanks for the comment. :)
I discovered that very early on. It also did not hold the photoetch parts very well either and resorted to cyanoacrylate instead. If you put the crystal cement on the end of a toothpick it's easier to apply. It may still have a use for me but am reverting back to the old standbys instead.
Tell me how do you feel about building "Zeus or Poseidon " ? , yes you can see some of them here on you tube under Battlestar Galactica battle of Helios 6 & their are diagrams for them as well just thought you might be interested .
Thanks......Beautiful ships. I really wish they were able to come up with a follow up series of some sort. It would have been cool to see more of that universe. So many other projects for me to work on at this point but they would be cool to build.
Looking really good, sir! The weathering and shading are very effective.

Looking good, Oggie!
I.M. i'm in the process of building this kit. The ability to add detail is limitless.
So awesome! Love the music too!! :-)
Marc Fraley thanks Marc
Fun tip: The Raptor crews' helmets were gold.

Nice job! There is a photo etch for the exterior and interior parts from green strawberry.... Look it up!
Yep....i make reference to the greenstrawberry w/specifics in the video

Bondo Glazing and Spot Putty. Worked great for this heavy seam.
Wowwwww
thanks
Another top notch build! I've tagged Interstellar modeller on Facebook. I would love any and all feedback!
Thank you John. I've had fun with this build and it is coming along nicely. Appreciate your nice comments and for watching.
Looking very nicem the arms in the kit look very stiff, I think reshaping them would help for a more real appearance

What glue did you use for the photo etch?
Interstellar Modeler thanks
That watch crystal cement strings badly.

Just a comment for the algorithm
