I love the "dual income, no kids" expression. Thanks to you guys I always learn new things about Korea. Korean langauge always has such interesting abbreviations and concepts.
The term didn’t actually emerge in Korea, but in the U.S in the 80s :) Western countries tend to use ‘childfree’ instead of DINK, while DINK is used widely in Korea.

Congrats !!✨ I’ve always appreciated you guys talking about not wanting kids because I think I don’t either but when I verbalized this to my friends and family they always hit me with the “you’ll change your mind later” 😒 when I first heard you guys say it in a vid years ago it gave me a lot of comfort idk 🤷♀️
And that's okay too! To change your mind. There are so many children in the world that need homes and families. But It's not okay for family and friends to act like they are offended by your choice. When I was younger, I wanted children desperately, but now that I am in my late 30's, I am very grateful that I couldn't get pregnant as my life and lifestyle is not suited to cater to children. If we were financially stable and able to I would love for us to foster or adopt in the future, but it's okay to chose the child free lifestyle also. It doesn't mean that you are selfish or not a good person.
Thank you! And honestly, I really do think people just need to accept the fact that not everyone wants to be a parent, and there’s nothing at all wrong with this 🤷🏻♀️ It’s a choice, definitely not an obligation.

Thank you for your kind words :) I'm in my mid 20's still and have a lot of time to decide what I want my future to look like (I'm open to adoption if that's where life takes me) but I don't appreciate being treated like I couldn't possibly know what I want/that I'm selfish for not wanting children. It's almost as if they think they can just easily shame you into having them lol

I hope in the near future virtually no one will continue with comments like "oh, it's too bad" or "what a shame you two don't want kids". I commend you two disproving the false equivalency that having kids = having good quality/meaningful life. I, too, am childless, and my honest reason is bc I don't like kids and prefer a life where I enjoy a successful career, donate my time to important causes, and live with furry kids.
Lol, the “What a shame” comments are all too common 😅 Being a parent is definitely not for everyone. We personally would have to give up pretty much everything in our lives that gives us joy/fulfillment to have a kid. Sacrifices to have a kid are necessary for everyone of course, but some people would feel those sacrifices much heavier than others.

For us personally, a cat is more than enough 😅 The perfect little companion who needs you for a few things, but otherwise is totally independent so everyone has their space and solitude whenever they need it. To each their own, of course! Some people are just cut out to be parents, some aren’t!

Um...Sir, I can guarantee that my cats are, indeed, just as draining and needy 24/7 as a 2 year old hitting his peak terrible two's lol 🤣. But also on a side note, no one being is any better or worse then another. Some thrive with weirdly large broods of kids, while others do better with fur babies. I honestly have so much respect for the work Sara(h?) and Kyuho do for the neighborhood kitties as well, they really are angels.

About the 'having things to talk about' question, I feel like this comes up a lot nowadays because the younger generation feel like there's so much going on so any silence is 'awkward'.
Silence really doesn't have to be awkward, especially when it comes to your partner. One should be able to just sit and not talk and still feel comfortable. If its awkward, maybe it's just not a right fit. And you can love someone without being a good fit for them.
The idea of love has been so easily manipulated over the years and I just wanted to say that there is no one size fits all in the realm of love. Find someone who asks nothing of you but gives you the world. There is nothing worse than pretending like youre happy.
Anyways, loved the video guys, the park looked like a dream and I definitely could see Totoro flying around on his leaf behind you. Happy 6 years!! To many more to come!!

Happy anniversary guys! We had our 6th wedding anniversary in March! That brunch looked amazing! And I love that you guys are so open about not wanting kids. My daughter has been very vocal from a young teen about never wanting kids and some of the comments she gets about it infuriate me. I'll never understand why people think that is any of their business anyways.

Having children is a personal choice! However if you are not sure it's better not to have kids. Not everyone does, but never say never. Even if you are older you could always adopt a child later. I did. Was married almost 10 years before I had my first daughter. 10 years later after this I was super lucky to adopt my two younger daughters. My hubby and I are older parents, but I have never been sorry that we had children in our late 40s. I don't think my children are sorry either. The best decision for us, as I am a proud parent of three fantastic daughters. But it's not for everyone and I think knowing what you prefer is great.

I think silence is awkward if you don't know each other well, but once you get to know each other and are comfortable with each other, it's not a big deal at all. I mean, at that point, you probably know everything about each other anyway, so there's not really much else to say lol.
I love my kids but a mother is only as happy as her saddest child. And all kids, especially teenagers and young adults, have sooooo many problems these days. There’s so much negativity in the world they have to deal with. I can 100% see why anyone would choose not to have children in the times we’re living in. If I were your age now, I could see myself choosing the same option. And, for whatever reason you made the choice, it’s YOUR life, your decision. I’m glad you don’t have anyone on your back about it. ❤️✌🏼

Nowadays a lot of young couples doesn’t want kids they just want to enjoy their own life without any financial burden. For me, I have 2 grown up sons and speaking from experience they are what keeps me going. I have my own house but I doubt my sons will be able to buy any house of their own..but kids are the best I ever can have as a parent. I enjoyed every single moment with them and never regretted being a mother :) no doubt there are stresses of being a parent but the rewards that come from it, money cannot buy. Only when you become a parent will you feel that.

No one’s experience will be the same, nor should they be :)
Is not always about the burden sometimes is as simple as not wanting a kids the same way not everyone wants a cat or dog

And bring them just for selfish reasons such as fear of loneliness or use them as a excuse to force yourself to do something because a lack drive is kinda sick
