Awesome info, my friend. I really like the look you achieved. The local indian casino here has big vapor fireplaces in each hotel suite. You can see it from both sides as it is between the two connected rooms that make up the suite. The first time we stayed there, we didn't even realize it wasn't real flames until the 2nd day.

Thanks for making the video Jens! I was traveling, so sorry for the late reply. Very interesting, I definitely like the 'flickering flame' look that you get! I have some safety concerns about mixing heat, electricity, and water vapor in the same space, so I want to understand better the light you used, can you send me a link to something online? I'd also love to see inside the contraption if you can open it when it is turned off to give me a tour. I was intentionally trying to minimize the heat output with my last one since it had to be portable and low-risk in my small apartment, but I am curious to play with this concept and see if we can make something that is still safe and portable for people who rent small spaces.

Is this for areas/regions that don't ever see/feel cold weather?? I can't imagine these are built or used by those in Northern States or Alaska!! LOL

Why not just put your laptop in the living room and set your screensaver to "Fireplace"? I did that back in 2000!! And it was still cold in the room! LOL
