    As far as battery life goes, the battery was still green. It goes green, yellow then Red. Green is 100% to 65% Yellow 65-25% Red is 25 to 10% and flashing red is below 10% So you could easily get three inflations out of it. Especially if you were just topping tires off and not having to fill them completely up from 0psi

      Mine takes exactly 2min to go from 10-25psi in a 120/100-18. And I’ve got 4 inflations on 2 charge without hitting flashing red.

    I’ve used mine 20x30 times and love it. My only complaint is the fragile finish. They should have just rubberized it.

    I love my TrailTech Voyager Pro but my experience with these types of compressors is they’re not as durable as my MotoPump. Great for the garage and charging my phone but they don’t like temps over 100F/36c, dust or moisture. Dynaplugs have never worked for me either and got a fellow rider stuck in Baja before we used the “bacon strip” kind. Very good kit 👏

    Thanks for another great video. I have an old air compressor that i have been using for years so this looks very intriguing. I’m in your neck of the woods I live in N.I as well. In addition to a couple of rallies I hope to complete the Idaho BDR. I figure I have to do that first since I live here. I started it last year but my riding buddy had an injury so we had to cut it short. I ride a GSA as well but I am looking at a T7 or a transalp as a BDR bike. I love my GSA and will keep it for touring and fire roads close to home.

    • @backcountryadvmoto
      @backcountryadvmoto  8 місяців тому

      We should link up! Message me in IG. Your GSA will do the IDBDR just fine. It’s one of the most scenic and in my opinion one of the more mellow ones.

    • @cdan1768
      @cdan1768 8 місяців тому

      @@backcountryadvmoto Your right about the GS handling the IDBDR. I consider myself to be a competent off road rider and although the big bike handled it fine I found the weight of it challenging. My thought process is that I would have better stability on a lighter bike, not so much on the IDBDR but others that are more challenging like Utah. I liked your podcast on injuries in the backcountry and as I said I experienced that with my friend. He was not as experienced on dirt as I thought and injured his foot and ankle. We made it to the top of the Magruder corridor and turned back around to Darby. He went home from there and I continued to a BMW rally in Stanley. Anyway as IU said I live in North Idaho so yes I would like to link up. I am not on IG so if you have another alternative let me know. Thanks again!

    It looks like a winner BUT can you get a longer inflation hose? You inflated with the tire off and you have 90 degree pressure valve. When the tire is on the bike AND with the straight up valves, that short hose is going to be a problem

    On a recent day trip, I had a flat rear tire. We had a plug kit, but my air compressor wouldn't seal the tire back to the rim. Would this compressor seal it back, or maybe the CO2 in the kit? Same bike as yours, R1250GS with Awake Wild. Thanks of the video, I really like the set it/forget it option.

  • @motleymeanderings
    @motleymeanderings 8 місяців тому

    I love the ability to set and forget on the compressor air pressure. I have that feature on my Jeep and it’s incredibly convenient. I ride a ‘12 1200 GSA and an ‘18 KTM 690 Enduro and this appears to be a good solution for both. My 1200 is set up for longer trips, two up with my wife, down into Baja and southern California. My 690 is my solo camping platform for off grid travel.
    How much charge was used during your fill up demo? If you mentioned that, I missed it. Curious about how many air ups you can get from a single charge. Thanks!

    FOR THOSE THAT CARE: It looks like a re-brand of the Airmoto pump I got a couple years ago. Cons with Airmoto. It didn't work as a battery bank/ charger and when charging the Airmoto was only chargeable from a USB-A to USB-C cable and it was very slow. If the trail tech had better internal electronics that can accept a quick charge Power delivery USB-C and also be a quick charge USB-C power bank I would upgrade right now.
    Maybe V3!
    End rant

    Stoked that TrailTech is making something like this, everything I've ever got from them has been excellent. Currently running their Vapor cluster on my cafe build. I like the idea of having a multi-function device that I can carry with me, and I was actually shopping for something similar before hitting the road in the spring. I do a week-long, around 1500 mile trip with some buddies every summer. Triumph Street Triple RS. Every bike is a touring bike if you take it on a tour! Cheers.
