More info on that sub octave circuit please.. any links or info to schematics? As long as I'm about to tear apart mine for a re-furb may as well add some added functionality to it.
Unfortunately I think I might have freestyled that one on the breadboard and just transferred it straight to stripboard. It's a classic two-transistor pulse divider circuit, just a bistable multivibrator with some extra diodes essentially. There's a similar circuit in my Model 1011 Oscillator if you go to the Slightly Nasty website and check out the schematics of that. I think this circuit was mostly the same, without the input buffer transistor and with a few component values tweaked to suit the horrifically low-gain germanium transistors.
Sounds like it could've been on the blade runner soundtrack. It also makes me think of the movie Legend with Tom Cruise. Very cool!
That synth sound amazing.
I love this. It sounds like early Tangerine Dream. Have you thought about developing it into a full blown work of music?
Dude, you made this thing sound so haunting. You earned a sub.
Excellent mood piece you coaxed outa that thing!!

Good synth, makes lot of noise, and sometimes sounds.
