I recently hit 500 subs after 6months of trying and from my own personal observations, I can say that picking an idea really helps me get multiple ideas. When we say niche, Most of us feel like we’re in a small bubble that’s why I use the word, “idea”. Idea helps you branch out. Goodluck to us all💙💪🏾💥

Im also recently starting , my niche is self improvement for young men like myself whether thats life advice, workout tips, financial , and even martial arts. Im not sure how i will end up making money but thats fine as it will come through time and me providing value. My problem is i over edit, how long should i give myself and then just post? I know its barely going to get any views but i still want to put in my best effort. The 5 videos is a good idea and i will batch shoot my next vids✊🏽🔥

Slow but steady is worth it. I'm new to posting to UA-cam but I had slow and steady growth on TikTok. Never have gone mega viral, never featured on other channels, etc - but over two years I've grown to almost 36k followers. That's not a lot compared to many, but it's a lot for organic growth and niche content that doesn't rely on trends or vine type clips.
Keep at it. Put your content out, make content you love (bc it shows) and just keep improving your skills.

I make training videos and my students watch them and my watch hours go up NONE. I wait 48 hrs before checking if there is a change and after 20 students watching several hours over the weekends, no hours go up. I don't know what else to do. Imaje sure they are watching long form and not shorts. I know at least some of them are watching because 80% have questions and feedback the next day. What in the world!?

At the same time. The thought being if someone likes your video, they’ll want to watch another. When they do this it triggers the YT algorithm to see that people who see this video are also interested in this video.
Lots of people will binge watch your videos if they enjoy them. I find myself doing this.
So that is my plan. Make 5 videos before really posting any of them. That way I have a library started.

I saw another video where UA-cams music was suggested as safe to use, like the one you mentioned in this video. I currently use clipchamp to edit my videos and I use music from there, so I would assume it’s safe but when I upload to UA-cam it sometimes says copyright flag, but then notes it safe to use. If I didn’t use clipchamp’s sounds/music and opted for what you recommended, do I just download to my computer and then add it in clipchamp when I’m editing?

Main points mentioned in this video:
    1. You need to have a vision for your channel to be able to create content at least for 5 years from now.
    2. Choosing a niche could be a very limiting idea.
    3. Come up with the way, you’re going to monetize your channel. You can come up with sth that captures emails, a downloadable PDF or a mini course.
    4. Do not use the music, that you don’t own.
    5. Start messy. Be okay with content, that is not perfect.

The problem with videos like that is UA-cam hides so much of that knowledge from users. Very rarely do we get concrete information about what the UA-cam algorithm is looking for from year to year and sometimes even month-to-month. When we do, we still aren't always told how much weight is given to various video factors like length, minutes vs complete views, whether or not factors like cursing affect reach etc.

The moment I started doing videos about the topic I was interested in instead of the topics I thought people would want to watch, that's when I saw growth. I had 2 channels before this one I am currently handling and in 6 years I could not make them work. This 3rd channel was monetized in 4 months. Sure, I learned a thing or two along the way with the failed channels but I attribute the success to the fact that now I make videos about something I am passionate about.

Okay, so I've been hearing this a lot. But what about just plain entertainment? If you are not good at educational stuff

I eventually showed my friends and family my channel after it hit 3000 subs and they actually went and checked it out and at that point I had over 500 videos so they had a bunch of stuff to watch, and it’s been helping the channel a lot. Glad I waited before saying I had a channel lol
