Chad Stuetzel I'd go ahead and do the GT500 mounts just to be safe. The stock mounts tend to fall apart when the strut assembly is taken apart and there's really no good way to put them back together.
Normally, yes. Thankfully, the shop I took mine to for the alignment knew of the issue and was able to grind out where the lower end of the strut meets the remainder of the suspension assembly, saving me about $200.
Ok. got some people saying yes, i'll need them and some saying no I won't. I called Late Model Resterations where I got the springs and they said I wouldn't need them. I'm confused as hell! I doubt if the shop near me will have the know how about the grinding... guess I really won't know till I put the springs on... and see how she sits. But thanks for the response... your car is bad ass btw.
Do you have an S197 Mustang? If so, you'll have waaaaay too much negative camber on the front wheels after you lower it, so there will have to be some way to adjust the camber on the car, wither with CC plates or with the grinding. But thanks man! Much appreciated.
Depends what you mean by tinting the tail lights. I don't think dark tinted tail lights would look very good, but some lightly tinted or smoked tail lights would look great!
I have considered it, but I figured since the front end already has so many stone chips, I may as well wait until it's not my daily driver. Or possibly wrap the car a different color all together.
Your car looks a lot better man. Question. For your tail lights, do you think putting LED's in the brake and reverse housings would give the car a more premium or upscale look so to speak?
Stock struts for now. I'll upgrade when these blow out. The rear springs were much easier to install than the fronts, but I did it all in the garage fairly easily.
Beautiful car ya got there!... I am about to do K springs on my 2011 with the Koni orange street struts/shocks... hopefully i dont have trouble with the panhard bar.
lol your joke about the mustang going to the crowds made me Crack up! Also hearing all the things that you want to do yo the mustang gets me excited because it's going to look do good!
I'm doing this over the weekend but I completely forgot about the panhard bar so... Ill get that ordered lol
Did you get a set of GT500 strut mounts as well?
Well the thing is I'm going to run them on the stock springs until I can afford the shocks, struts, and the gt500 mount
*stock shocks

RCGCarReviews ok ill check it out. I already have the bump stops, what brand panhard bar would you recommend?
Is the rear still higher than the front end
Did you polish your aluminum wheels? Yours look brand new and mine don't look as shiny so I plasti dipped them.
Nope, they're pretty dull looking in person actually... I want to find a way to polish them though!
My mustang has Sumitomo HTR Z III's in the rear and surprisingly, they hook very well.
That's actually what i'm looking at to replace my autocross tires with!
What’s your tire size
Did you need Camber Plates or Camber Bolts?
Normally, yes. Thankfully, the shop I took mine to for the alignment knew of the issue and was able to grind out where the lower end of the strut meets the remainder of the suspension assembly, saving me about $200.

Just a light smoke is what I'm thinking.
Definitely tint the taillights 😍😍😍
We shall see!
Looking great, nice stang.
Thanks!
It looks good and a-lott more serious. Upgrades are easy to envision and expensive to have done, so be patient.
Haha thank you! You are correct.
Car looks awesome! I think you should leave the tail lights alone
Thanks! I probably will leave them as they are.
Did you ever consider paint protection film? I have this for my fusion

I live in Texas as well & was wondering how much they charged you for your custom plates. Nice looking stang btw!
$150 a year! Thanks man, appreciate it! What part of TX are you from?
Looks great!
Thanks!
Don't tint the taillights!
I'll probably end up leaving them as they are.
looks like my when it was a virgin lol
Mustang GT 07 stripes on ur mustang look bad bro remove them removed mine looks way better
hey RCG why not get a 3M clear bra for the hood and front bumper/
One of these days I very well may do that. Not a fan of the rock chips.
Are you on stock struts? And was the install of the rear springs easy diy in your driveway?

Thanks! It changes the look and handling of the car quite a bit. Good luck with everything!
lol your joke about the mustang going to the crowds made me Crack up! Also hearing all the things that you want to do yo the mustang gets me excited because it's going to look do good!
Haha thanks! Glad I could entertain.
Glossy black roof is the way to go!! Great lowered look, now you need some tire letters!
Make that kid at school pay for that damage!!!
Hopefully I can do the roof soon! I wish I knew who it was that hit my car... No note left.
Just another reason to get a dash camera!!
Awesome car man, looks super clean! The springs make it sit really nicely!
Thank you! I appreciate it. I definitely try to keep her clean, but the white paint & daily driver duty make that a hard job haha
RCGCarReviews Lol I bet, my car is silver and that's a pain as it is. Subscribing for more!
Gotta love owning a light-colored car, haha. Thanks for the sub man, always appreciated! I gave you a follow on Instagram, too.
RCGCarReviews I'll follow you back, thanks man!
It looks very good Reid! Props to you for doing most of it yourself, too.
Thanks! It was a PIA, but worth it.
