We were wondering what was going on. It started right after the update. Game starts ok but within minutes the lag is so bad it's unplayable. Thought we were up for a new console until trying red dead 2 online and story mode with no issues and no issues against bots in MW3. Any advice regarding latency? Our ISP said our connection was fine no outages on their end. We also have high latency but no packet loss all of a sudden but as I said it's all been since the update. Tried reinstalling the game but same issue.

I’m on Xbox one. So basically when I play rebirth the first 10 minutes of the game are good effective play, but once it starts getting down to end game it’s starts to act choppy and laggy even with the audio but the lag comes in the same sequence every time

i found out private matchers are broken earlier, when i thougth i could scratch the multiplayer itch. it was amazing for about 2-3 minutes and then *shits pants* *fart noise*... 😢
I'm on Xbox One console and right after the mid-season 4 update every multiplayer game is a constant lag the entire game. I've tried many things on my end, hard console reboot, modem reset, I even uninstalled and reinstalled the game and the lag persists in every game. My packet loss shows 0% and latency has always been around 45, but the gameplay is simply not fun. I'm lucky to get 3 kills in a row before my movement freezes for over 1 second, and in many cases it deteriorates into a series of longer pauses, over 3 or 4 seconds at a time.
Xbox1 player here...0% packet loss and hovering around 60 latency on a wired connection with open nat type. Ever since the last update the game starts out fine, but within a few minutes into any particular game mode, I get lag, stutters, player moves forward but then "resets" behind where I just came from. Hard to complete my daily objectives, let alone win a match or even get killstreaks. Sooo frustrated with this. Happens in Warzone, Resurgence as well as ALL of the quick play games. Reported this to Activision and hopefully they'll fix it soon...
I'm on Xbox one S and since Mid season update of Season 4 it lags so bad it's unplayable either about a minute in or after 1 match. It's absolutely ridiculous. Totally unplayable and I mostly play Multiplayer. ACTIVISION needs to fix it or give is a refund or massive cod points ....something for having tondeal.with it. I've tried everything I can tomfix it as far as resetting console tomfactory and reinstalling the game, resting router and modem, changing.my settings, clearing cache everything... I KNOW it's the update because every other online game I play works just fine. They NEED to.fix it.
I'm pissed. I paid 50$ (it was on sale) and my dad payed 80$ so we could play the game together. This will possibly stop me from playing this game entirely. It even lags during the campaign!

Over the last week I have experienced it and it is incredibly bad today. Really bad when engaging with enemies. About to just start playing College Football 25. I have no solution. My other friend on PS5 is not experiencing lag however.
In zombies. Xbox. Repeated crackling sounds, and small lag glitches halfway through matches since the update. Once it starts it doesn't stop until you close MW3. It will continue in the menus when you close Zombies, so you're forced to close MW3. If you open the home screen during gameplay, or bring up Turn Off console screen, the crackle and lag immediately stops. When closing that window, or returning to current gameplay, the issue continues. 🤷. I can't finish a full match on Zombies in the last 2 to 3 days.
Same here in mosh pit . Just trying to do my tracked objectives for XP and then I'll just quit the game. I know it probably affects my rating if I continue to quit each game I just there's nothing I could do starts lagging too much as terrible.

On Series X as well and I get the feeling the last 2 day have been my only days to play the update as I won't have much if any time over the weekend and days after. So I share the same feelings hope this is resolved quicker than what it was when it was happenning in season 3 😬

It's even doing it in campaign ! They've broken it with that update , I've turned 4k off put 1080p on uninstalled it , reinstalled it, reset my router and it's still the same they've made it unplayable 😢
Same. literally fucked up all my settings hoping for a fix. Works for like 5-10min then back to the worst lag I’ve experienced and I live in the mountains with 1 internet provider and no fiber optic. That’s saying something. Not to mention WE SPEND OUR HARD EARNED $$$ ON THIS GAME.

I have a wired connection with a 100mb fibre line. I play on xbox one. I have been experiencing the lag since the update. Latency seems good first few minutes then it starts jumping between from 19ms up to 50 60 ms ping. Game is unplayable at this point.

Exactly ! At first i was thinking it was the overheating temperature and warm week, but from day to day after the patch. Naahhh Friendz were laughing but none of it was from here. So i play a game or 2 and restart. 🤷🏻♂️🤦♂️
They need to get their shit straight. Between the bright neon skins, the hidden pay to win system, and the monitoring and censorship of chats this game is already bad enough, now add to it that every time they patch the thing there is always a series of game breaking bugs. New systems they try to implement remain broken for the entire season and it's never addressed. If any other type of company behaved this way they'd be sued out of existence.
This is ridiculous. It’s ongoing now for two weeks. My lag is ridiculous. After the game is over, it continues onto the next game. The audio gets choppy. It’s just ridiculous.
What console you on ? My teammates don’t have the issues I have. They both on series x and I’m still playing on a xbox1. Since the update I get progressively worst as the match goes on. Super lag and the sound cuts in and out. Even after I get back to the lobby my sounds coming in and out.

Xbox One-X Zombies. And every time the game boots me, it treats me like I died and punishes me by reducing my containment level and taking all my stash away, not to mention all the gear I entered the match with. Horrendous!

I have an Xbox one and the game is literally unplayable after the 1st multiplayer game with huge lagging issues. Your video there pales in comparison to the lag I'm suffering with. Got 147mb download/28mb upload so it's not at my end. Will try a few of your recommendations to see if it helps any.

Im on xbox, my friends dont have the issue except me so everytime i try to play it goes absolutely beserk on lag and its very frustrating. Im having the same issues as you, ping is perfect and not moving (unless its the normal down and back up) and packet loss is always at 0%. I never had an issue before the update but after it, ive been having all sorts of issues to the point i cant even move at all and people just target me (being a easy kill). At first i thought it was possibly my network screwing up but then i went to mw2 and had zero issues (and other games) so I know it had to do with the game itself, and not the area im in. Thank you for the info hopefully it helps me move a little easier. Cause i enjoyed the game before, but since the issues started happening I just stopped playing completely.

Ever since the mid update of season four, this game is unplayable I play on Xbox one X I restarted my consul. I deleted everything to factory reset and I’m on a wired connection. I even cleaned out my Xbox by tearing it down and putting it back together. The game works fine for like a 2 to 3 minutes and then boom I start lagging the game starts freezing. Even my audio is skipping and freezing. It’s like my console shit itself. And this is happening in Warzone multiplayer zombies, especially even a campaign for some reason, but no other games on my console, does it

I've been playing wz since wz1 and I've never experienced nothing like this only if I am have packet loss which is understandable but ever since the new season 4 reloaded update, I've been getting choppy gameplay and lagging issues which I never got before the reloaded update even tho I have 0 packet loss and a steady 16ms latency its very annoying cuz I can't play the game at all and it only starts happening when I die in a match and I click play again where it shows you if you want to leave the match or play with the same squad or play again and everytime i play again and join a new match the game starts lagging and the audio becomes distorted where graves would say his line and you could hear it twice. I'm on xbox one s btw and I've asked my friends and they haven't experienced nothing like it only when they're lagging in general and they are on PlayStation. I hope activison fixes this I can't even play warzone properly
I thought it was just me. Im playing on Xbox one x. I can play a few games fine, but it doesn't take long until I get packet loss constantly. I've reset my router, turned off and on my wifi, everything except reinstall the game. It even affects DMZ. The game is almost unplayable at this point. My upload and download speeds are maxed on the servers. Almost to the point my up and down are the same. Im so glad it's not just me. FIXED, DO THIS: Ok, I switch to play "Season 4 MOSH PIT" (next to "Small Map Mosh Pit" and "HEAD Shots Only") and there is NO LAG there. I need tried other SELECTIONS to find out what else DON"T LAG. NOTE: there are TWO "INCLINE 24/7", one top level and one under "Multiplayer" (next to Season 4 Mosh PIT). The latter one, next to "Season 4 Mosh Pit" DOES NOT LAG. Where the top level one, before Multiplayer, DOES LAG. I tested the NO log selection one, with all feature of Graphic/Sound/INterface TURN ON, and run at 4k and ALL GOOD, NO LAG. I have tried "Hard Core Quick Play" and "10v10 MOSH PIT" and "INCLINE 24/7" and serious lag no matter I turn OFF all feature in graphic/shound/interface. SUMMARY: drill down to Multiplacer and find "Season 4 MOSH PIT", all game next to it have NO LAG. Good luck, Hung Ton

I'm on Xbox One S and I can maybe get through 1 or 2 ranked matches before i have to restart the game to get another round. It gets extremely choppy including the audio of other players. What surprises me is that none of my teammates with mics are complaining about lag issues.
Multiplayer has been pretty much unplayable for me since the update came out. I have an older Xbox one, so things always ran slow, but now the lag is so severe that I can’t hear any audio, teleport/rubber band everywhere, and shooting full auto is so choppy I might as well be in single fire. This was not an issue until they released this update.
Deleted files, games , apps, and reinstalled....works fine for 2 games of free for all on mp, but lags progressively after that, long game loads , not showing players or guns....rlly annoying, im on xbox one been happening for a week now

I’ve been having the same issue but it’s after every kill my screen goes black for 1-2 seconds and I can’t move. Edit: I’ve also not been able to talk to others ingame, in the lobby I’m able to speak and hear others (not while matchmaking) but when we start matchmaking or ingame I can hear others but they can’t hear me. Including added friends. No voice ban.
Mine isn’t micro it’s huge I move forward and somehow I end up to the left looking up and I have 28 ms it makes me angry and I’ve tried to fix it but nothing works.
Xbox one x here. Same issue. I notice latency jitter is crazy. Like anywhere between 10ms to 97ms. When latency is consistent, the issue seems to be gone.

I have 20 latency that spikes up to 120/200 every 10 seconds

Over the last week I have experienced it and it is incredibly bad today. Really bad when engaging with enemies. About to just start playing College Football 25. I have no solution. My other friend on PS5 is not experiencing lag however.
In zombies. Xbox. Repeated crackling sounds, and small lag glitches halfway through matches since the update. Once it starts it doesn't stop until you close MW3. It will continue in the menus when you close Zombies, so you're forced to close MW3. If you open the home screen during gameplay, or bring up Turn Off console screen, the crackle and lag immediately stops. When closing that window, or returning to current gameplay, the issue continues. 🤷. I can't finish a full match on Zombies in the last 2 to 3 days.

Same here in mosh pit . Just trying to do my tracked objectives for XP and then I'll just quit the game. I know it probably affects my rating if I continue to quit each game I just there's nothing I could do starts lagging too much as terrible.

It’s fucking unplayable! So happy it happened after working 10 day strait days haha I’m sure it’ll be resolved when I get back to work tmrw. My text texture settings have been off all along, and I don’t have campaign. I’m playing on series X and it’s legit unplayable no matter how many lobby or game modes you try. It’s mind blowing that we still have these type of issues, in 2024 on a multi billion dollar franchise.
On Series X as well and I get the feeling the last 2 day have been my only days to play the update as I won't have much if any time over the weekend and days after. So I share the same feelings hope this is resolved quicker than what it was when it was happenning in season 3 😬

It's even doing it in campaign ! They've broken it with that update , I've turned 4k off put 1080p on uninstalled it , reinstalled it, reset my router and it's still the same they've made it unplayable 😢
Same. literally fucked up all my settings hoping for a fix. Works for like 5-10min then back to the worst lag I’ve experienced and I live in the mountains with 1 internet provider and no fiber optic. That’s saying something. Not to mention WE SPEND OUR HARD EARNED $$$ ON THIS GAME.

In a 1v1 clutch gameplay in warzone but I lagged so hard my screen froze and when it un froze I was somehow in the party🤦🏽

Morning mate, I have had serious lag problems and thought it was just my connection but watching your video made me realise it was not just me. Thanks for highlighting this and hope they sort it very soon. I do feel they are adding to much to the game like promoting Black Ops 6 is one of them, also now there are so many Cheaters on MW3 which I cant really see the point of cheating they are spoling the game, and Activision dont seem to be bothered about doing anything. I believe the issue is cheaters have more than one account, they get banned on one then use another and so on, but i may be totally off the mark ha ha. The lag is horrendous im in new zealand i finished the campaign a while ago but my partner has just started playing and hers is lagging too 3 days i havent been able to play team death match🤷🏼get maybe one game then half way through the second lag kicks in like 1998 internet they best fix the issue soon🤷🏼
I have a wired connection with a 100mb fibre line. I play on xbox one. I have been experiencing the lag since the update. Latency seems good first few minutes then it starts jumping between from 19ms up to 50 60 ms ping. Game is unplayable at this point.

This is ridiculous. It’s ongoing now for two weeks. My lag is ridiculous. After the game is over, it continues onto the next game. The audio gets choppy. It’s just ridiculous.
What console you on ? My teammates don’t have the issues I have. They both on series x and I’m still playing on a xbox1. Since the update I get progressively worst as the match goes on. Super lag and the sound cuts in and out. Even after I get back to the lobby my sounds coming in and out.

I have noticed that in some games,if I'm on a good streak or doing pretty well ,I suddenly get a huge lag spike. The packet loss is 0. Or sometimes when you get near a specific player
Xbox One-X Zombies. And every time the game boots me, it treats me like I died and punishes me by reducing my containment level and taking all my stash away, not to mention all the gear I entered the match with. Horrendous!

Xbox One lag issues occurring midway through a match to where it is unplayable. Turned off all things that would cause lag and still no fix.
Weapons that take a long time to appear in your hand, bad audio and constant crashes. I'm from Brazil and it's the same thing here on Xbox

I have an Xbox one and the game is literally unplayable after the 1st multiplayer game with huge lagging issues. Your video there pales in comparison to the lag I'm suffering with. Got 147mb download/28mb upload so it's not at my end. Will try a few of your recommendations to see if it helps any.

Im on xbox, my friends dont have the issue except me so everytime i try to play it goes absolutely beserk on lag and its very frustrating. Im having the same issues as you, ping is perfect and not moving (unless its the normal down and back up) and packet loss is always at 0%. I never had an issue before the update but after it, ive been having all sorts of issues to the point i cant even move at all and people just target me (being a easy kill). At first i thought it was possibly my network screwing up but then i went to mw2 and had zero issues (and other games) so I know it had to do with the game itself, and not the area im in. Thank you for the info hopefully it helps me move a little easier. Cause i enjoyed the game before, but since the issues started happening I just stopped playing completely.

It's driving my crazy! Apex, RL have no issues my ping is good on those games to. My ping spikes now, it's choppy. I find myself leaving matches. It feels pointless. Reset router, cache dump. Xbox one.

Ever since the mid update of season four, this game is unplayable I play on Xbox one X I restarted my consul. I deleted everything to factory reset and I’m on a wired connection. I even cleaned out my Xbox by tearing it down and putting it back together. The game works fine for like a 2 to 3 minutes and then boom I start lagging the game starts freezing. Even my audio is skipping and freezing. It’s like my console shit itself. And this is happening in Warzone multiplayer zombies, especially even a campaign for some reason, but no other games on my console, does it

I've been playing wz since wz1 and I've never experienced nothing like this only if I am have packet loss which is understandable but ever since the new season 4 reloaded update, I've been getting choppy gameplay and lagging issues which I never got before the reloaded update even tho I have 0 packet loss and a steady 16ms latency its very annoying cuz I can't play the game at all and it only starts happening when I die in a match and I click play again where it shows you if you want to leave the match or play with the same squad or play again and everytime i play again and join a new match the game starts lagging and the audio becomes distorted where graves would say his line and you could hear it twice. I'm on xbox one s btw and I've asked my friends and they haven't experienced nothing like it only when they're lagging in general and they are on PlayStation. I hope activison fixes this I can't even play warzone properly
I thought it was just me. Im playing on Xbox one x. I can play a few games fine, but it doesn't take long until I get packet loss constantly. I've reset my router, turned off and on my wifi, everything except reinstall the game. It even affects DMZ. The game is almost unplayable at this point. My upload and download speeds are maxed on the servers. Almost to the point my up and down are the same.

FIXED, DO THIS:
Ok, I switch to play "Season 4 MOSH PIT" (next to "Small Map Mosh Pit" and "HEAD Shots Only") and there is NO LAG there. I need tried other SELECTIONS to find out what else DON"T LAG.
NOTE: there are TWO "INCLINE 24/7", one top level and one under "Multiplayer" (next to Season 4 Mosh PIT). The latter one, next to "Season 4 Mosh Pit" DOES NOT LAG. Where the top level one, before Multiplayer, DOES LAG.
I tested the NO log selection one, with all feature of Graphic/Sound/INterface TURN ON, and run at 4k and ALL GOOD, NO LAG.
I have tried "Hard Core Quick Play" and "10v10 MOSH PIT" and "INCLINE 24/7" and serious lag no matter I turn OFF all feature in graphic/shound/interface.
SUMMARY: drill down to Multiplacer and find "Season 4 MOSH PIT", all game next to it have NO LAG.

Yeah. I thought I’m the only one with season 4 lag after my 3 weeks of wait for my Xbox one console repaired completely. It’s not just the MP, it’s every modes in MW3 that affected everyone’s gameplay and little bit behind on the season 4 battle pass
I'm on Xbox One S and I can maybe get through 1 or 2 ranked matches before i have to restart the game to get another round.
It gets extremely choppy including the audio of other players.
What surprises me is that none of my teammates with mics are complaining about lag issues.

Multiplayer has been pretty much unplayable for me since the update came out. I have an older Xbox one, so things always ran slow, but now the lag is so severe that I can’t hear any audio, teleport/rubber band everywhere, and shooting full auto is so choppy I might as well be in single fire. This was not an issue until they released this update.

I’ve been having the same issue but it’s after every kill my screen goes black for 1-2 seconds and I can’t move.
Edit: I’ve also not been able to talk to others ingame, in the lobby I’m able to speak and hear others (not while matchmaking) but when we start matchmaking or ingame I can hear others but they can’t hear me. Including added friends. No voice ban.

I notice latency jitter is crazy. Like anywhere between 10ms to 97ms. When latency is consistent, the issue seems to be gone.
