A question form a guy that have done some freshwater setups (so probably a stupid question) do you sees the tank with food to get the cycle started. So the bacteria that you added have something to feed on. Or is it enough in the live sand and rocks. I’m wondering cuz I’m about to buy my first saltwater and trying to get as much info as possible. Thanks for a great video.
Great vid, I’ve never had saltwater tank and am finally going through with it and I decided I wanted to go with a 15 gallon, and do a pair of clowns, do you think you could go in depth with the cycle process and what corals to add for those new to it, along with if you think you should add fish first or coral? Thanks!
Yeah we are definitely going to be stocking this tank and filming every step of it! You can also watch some of my older videos. I set up a water box tank for my friend and we stocked it. I would say add the fish first to create the nitrates from the fish poop that the coral use to grow!
I’m pretty sure taking rock from the ocean is illegal. But it might depend on where you live. I wouldn’t recommend doing it because you don’t know what pests or other microorganisms you are introducing into your aquarium.
Honestly depends on the size of the fish. I wouldn’t do more than 4 but it all depends on the bio load. You can have as many corals that fit in the tank
ai primes burn the lens even on recommended intensity I'm going with the new pixel from lllumagic cheaper and lens don't burn up you may not get the the fancy app but Im not replacing a light every year
There are ways of doing it cheaper but this is the cheapest way to do it with the best equipment. You can do it cheaper but the quality of the equipment won’t be as good. The saltwater hobby is so expensive and I wish it would be cheaper

You can put food in the help with the cycle but I would say there is enough in the live sand and rocks

How many rocks in total do you have and weight? I just bought everything for this setup. So I need the tree and 1 more arch?
Yes it was 1 tree kit and we added an arch
I believe it was 7.5 pounds roughly

For this setup we used Reef Crystals but typically we will use the Red Sea Classic Salt

We used a caribsea nano tree kit

That's actually VERY budget friendly, seeing as how expensive this hobby can get, this seems very entry level cost, to he honest.

There’s no such thing as a budget build. Budget just means $1000 because even building my own tank from scratch still cost more than a grand.
