Just wanted to say thanks. This configuration is amazing. Sub 3lb, buttery smooth, consistent trigger pull. Great setup for competition. 2000+ rounds with no issues.
I didn't put any aftermarket parts into my P10F, but I did some cutting and polishing on the internals including the striker leg and sear to smooth out the pull and decrease creep, it turned out pretty decent at 4.5 pounds down from the 6-7 it was stock, and it breaks cleanly now. For a striker fired gun the stock trigger was already pretty decent but now it's amazing. Nothing like my SP-01 with a professionally polished CGW trigger kit though, that thing breaks at 1.8 lbs, there's just no comparison between a striker fired trigger versus a hammer fired.
I've got a similar setup on my p10f comp. One of them I just threw an apex shoe on and kept the rest stock as its a HD gun. The other one I put a overwatch striker and 4 lb spring, apex disconnecter, I swapped out the apex shoe for a the HBI that comes on the gun. the pull on the apex felt mushy and broke really far back the HBI shoe has a little more glass rod break feel and doesnt break as far back. pull is around 2.25-2.5 on my non digital scale. Its definitely a good setup. Oh I also did some polishing as well which helped a bit.
Nice! so far I've never had any issues swapping around different parts from those three trigger systems. I considered trying something like that and it would be interesting to see how the HBI shoe works with the Apex and Overwatch parts.
Would getting the apex trigger kit setup for the more define break instead of rolling break work if I put in an hbi reduced recoil spring? I’m looking to have that lighter trigger pull but with more defined wall. Any suggestions of configurations?
@@aidansoccer12 yeah I believe it would. Another good option for a well defined wall is the overwatch striker and whatever spring you wanna use. You won’t be quite as light but the overwatch striker with whatever shoe you like and a reduced power spring will get you a long way. There is also strikers now from Cajun I don’t have any experience with those but I’d assume they are good.
I haven’t checked out any mcarbo products for a while. I’ll have to see what that is about. I’m not a huge proponent of the pre travel being a big factor but I’m aware that it is something people are looking for. Thanks for the heads up and the comment.
I’ve got apex on my g19 that’s why I asked you in other video which one is the winner, but after watching both videos I think I also would go with the apex for my P10s… Ty for sharing
So I just bought a CZ P10S last week and I went to the range yesterday for the first time. I started with Tula ammo 115 grain and literally out of the 100 rounds I’ve shot with Tula , through every 3/4 rounds I was experiencing either failure to eject or kind wired double feed, to the pint that it was very difficult to get the magazine out in order to clear the malfunction. I also shot 50 rounds of Sellier & Bellot 9MM 115 grain, but no problem with those at all. And I shot about 25 rounds of Sig Sour V crown hollow point 124 grain and again I had 2 failure to eject. Another issue I’m experiencing is loose back strap, When I got the gun it came with small back strap and as soon as I switched it to medium size the top part of the pack strap where it gets narrowed felt kind loose. After the range session the back strap felt even more loose. Now with my P07 which I have it for over 5 years with over 3000 rounds through it no issue and I’ve shot all different kinds of ammo and agin no problem. So I wanted to know your feed back about the P10S, also I was wondering if you ever experienced any of these issues? …I did contact CZ and they told me send it in so they can check it inspect it and hopefully fix it.
@@starletsmokey3508 wow well that’s a lot to unpack. It’s possible you have a tight and or short chamber. Tula is pretty dodgy ammo so it’s possible you have a lousy box. The S&B is definitely of higher quality and better ammo. Can’t speak to the V Crown but I imagine it would be good stuff. As for the back strap of the 5 P10 guns I have one had a similar med back strap that was lose on the top end. I used some painters tape to make it tight and then I did a carbide grip job so it’s not lose now. I’ve got one p10s and I’ve had zero issues with factory and reload ammo that is my experience with that pistol. I’m sorry yours is giving you problems I’m sure CZ will get it worked out for you.
I have a realy big problem with stock connector the trigger work but when i put apex connector trigger is dead could you mesure the apex connector i think my is to short 🤔
Andreas Knopman I'm not likely to tear my gun down to check what is going on there but Apex is asking that you only use the kit on the trigger bars marked (19) or later also make sure that you replaced the back cover with the apex one or the trigger will not function and one more thing is make sure the spring is working and the disconnector is installed correctly. I'll assume you watched the Apex installation video but if not check that out it goes over all aspects of install. ua-cam.com/video/iJWFt0rHVH4/v-deo.html
@@g47k huh that’s unfortunate I’m not sure what the issue is. Personally I’d either reinstall all factory parts and see if it works again and / or just take it all apart and start over. Make sure everything is as it should be. Also think about contacting apex. Local gunsmiths can be a good option if you have one available. There is a pretty large group on Facebook and forums you can poke around in there and see if anyone can trouble shoot it for you.
There is a rough patch in the stock trigger pull on these guns. There is smooth take up, rough gritty disaster, wall, and crisp break. How are all of you dealing with that? I really don't understand the praise for these triggers.
@10Sethg Well it’s all relative. What are we comparing the trigger too? When these came out the comparison was mostly to the gen 3/4 Glocks. I think most people agree they are better then those. If you are comparing them to say the VP9, FN509, M&P, and a host of other striker guns they are about on par. The only stuff I see that serious outclasses the P10 that I see is the Walther and Canik pistols. My suggestion for dealing with the trigger grit is to swap out some parts for a new trigger shoe, striker spring, and maybe the striker and disconnector. Also you can dry fire and live fire a bunch and a lot of the roughness would smooth up. What striker gun are you stoked on the trigger? I have a favorite but the p10f in this video is really pretty good and works great for competition shooting.
@@ACxREAL Thanks for the response! I'm really not picky about the triggers on my guns. Years ago I had a 1st gen M&P and was happy with that trigger even though I've read a lot of negative comments about them. I have run hundreds of rounds through the P10 and the trigger hasn't smoothed out. I want to keep it stock because I want to use it as my carry gun and I'm not sure about the legal ramifications of modifying the trigger. Every time I shoot it lately it has this glaring issue and I'm kind of surprised that I don't see it mentioned in any reviews. There are so many aspects of the trigger that are really great but the grit feel before the break makes shooting the gun unpleasant for me. It's like buying a high end car that's amazing in every aspect but there is a telephone pole going through the center console and sticking out of the top of the vehicle but no one is willing to acknowledge it. I'm wondering if it's just the one I own or if other people are experiencing this issue as well. I admittedly am not good at riding the reset (it's a great reset) so I pull through the grittiness with every round. I need to figure out a resolution because I won't shoot it for fun or carry it at this point. Also, I'm a huge CZ fan so I really want to like this gun.
@@10Sethg I’d hazard you have a particularly rough example. Maybe not it’s hard to say. I’ve had 5 and tried 3 more they are all pretty consistent. You mentioned that you don’t ride the reset so I assume it’s a slow deliberate pull and full trigger release after each shot. It’s possible you are more attuned to the grit at that particular point in the action then most of us. I’d try out some other p10 pistols if you can and see if they are the same. I’d also consider breaking your gun down and smoothing out some rough spots if there is any. I understand not modifying the gun but buffing out a high spot or cleaning out a tool mark may get you there without actually changing to gun. Another thing to consider is that there is just some crud in there that needs cleaned out Taking the gun apart is a good opportunity to check it out and make sure nothing is wrong. Anyway I’m glad you like the pistol and I wish I could take a look at it and see how that trigger feels.
@@robintaylor1490 so the average of ten pulls on my gauge is 4lbs 7oz stock p10c. The p10f or p10s should all be similar I’m sure individual examples would be slightly less or more. Anyway that’s the baseline I came up with.
I'd go for the HBI myself. that's what I have on my carry P10c. Its some what similar to stock and easily tuned using the striker springs. its a good feeling trigger shoe and is very reasonably priced.
