It would be extremely durable though seeing as you were in the service. It has less chance of breaking due to not being a clamshell design and snapping accidentally, the back and behind the faceplate is surprisingly mostly made out of metal (much better compared to a flimsier plastic material), and it also was backlit, giving it good playability both inside and outside. Best choice if you travel frequently in my opinion.

I will never understand the mindset of throwing out a working piece of technology, especially one that costs more than 10 dollars. At least give it away people! My regret is breaking a few of my old things with friends who convinced me it would be fun to smash them with sledge hammers. What was I thinking....
I had no idea people threw away perfectly good working consoles when people like myself could enjoy them even if they are 15 years old or 20 years old. Still good to me.

@@erichelfrich3023 I definitely won't. I can relate to that. All my controlers are broken due to Mario Party 2 (fucking Shy Guy windup), new controllers are hard to come by. I've sold most games on eBay. But I refuse to let go of the N64 Zeldas with "perfect" saves and Paper Mario. Maintaining Retrogaming will be a hassle for the common folk in the coming years. I still have to fix the battery inside my Dreamcast. I won't let that die.
the hardware inside the Micro is actually backwards compatible. other GBA models had a small plastic switch inside the cartridge slot to switch the hardware into GBC mode (they couldn't figure out a software solution so they went that route) the Micro doesn't have such a switch, and therefore cant switch into GBC mode. hacking it tho can make it backwards compatible, but that's not practical to do really... but it works
radiocaf I still have my PSP... And my original DS, my cube, my launch edition 3DSes, PS3, PS2, original Xbox, all of my stuff (except my Game Boy Color, who I traded to a friend so then she could play Pokèmon Yellow again. I got FF XII Collectors Edition out of the deal.)
I love my little micro but do you know what’s really REALLY annoying??? The speaker!!!!! Every time you press the a and b buttons your thumb goes over the speaker and it makes a really annoying noise arghhhhh like you’re scratching the inside of your ear- that’s what it sounds like!! Argh!!! But I do love how heavy it feels and it’s metal casing, so nice
I have one of these sitting in front of me right now, but I don't know where the charger is. This is my FAVORITE gameboy style, by far. I was able to get 10 of these at $20/each at the PX on post in Korea. I gave them as gifts to everyone.
I bought the Micro to play Metroid Fusion and Zero Mission. I found the screen was outstanding for it's size. I at least sold my original silver one years ago, but managed to get a Blue one for cheap. Still loving playing it.
On Christmas of 2006, an eleven-year-old boy named me received a black Game Boy Micro and a lifelong love for video games was born. I still own that Game Boy Micro, and, crazily enough, it still works flawlessly. I love showing it to people and telling them that this is why I'm a gamer. I still play it from time to time to remind myself how I started. What a place to begin my journey, but it got me here, and I'm happy about it. Funnily enough, my brother has that Famicom-colored one. He got it at the same time I got mine. Unfortunately, it no longer works, but he kept it anyway.
I own this one. It's really cool. It's got a nice steel body and an LCD screen. I fell in love with it the moment I saw it in the store and I got it for around $50 brand new back then.
When I was a little boy my father found a gameboy micro in his job I still have it we thought it was broken but I got the charger today and it just needs a battery replacement and that’s it the console has the pink ladybug faceplate and it’s actually authentic I found the Nintendo logo on the back of the face plate
Several years ago, I sold my Micro Famicom Edition. Had the box and everything in perfect shape. I finally rectified that issue this week by buying a new one on eBay. It cost me about 250, cause I insisted upon finding one that was as perfect as my original. It was worth every penny.
I dont think it failed... it basically was overshadowed by the DS because nintendo still had faith in the gameboy line at the time... kinda like in the way there still supporting the 3DS today
I prefer the Anbernic RG300X. It looks exactly like the micro but a bit bigger, including the screen, and its emulation so it runs all gameboy titles, and also nes and snes and several other things as well.
I have a micro since it was released, I like it , the screen is clearly too small for certain games. My friends kids who are 10 or so have no idea this thing exists and they are Into Nintendo and ipads but when I showed it to them they are wowed by its smallness and love it!? 🤷♀️
Actualy from what i was reading it has all chips and shits needed to play GB and GBC games but the only thing that is lacking is connection port. This makes me think how viable would be a GB Micro modification with GB/GBC connectors transplanted from GBA or something.
The micro was more of a collector's item that had the ability to run at the same level of a GBA or GBA SP while being ultra compact and highly customizable, as the unit not only had the option to swap face plates but also had special edition models based off the Famicom/Super Mario 20th Anniversary (which I had as my first Mirco). Personally I never thought of it as a contender to be a standalone entry in the Game Boy line of systems but more of "bragging rights", and if I recall correctly the unit was more metallic than plastic which did help slightly with the prestige that kids would get from showing off the model at school.
I always disregarded the micro until i played one recently. I was shocked with how bright and crisp the pixels are on the tiny screen. I noticed it has a better refresh rate than the sp 101s so it looks really smooth when you see fast moving objects or when you scroll through the level. Has really nice dpad and buttons. Highly recommended
The store my brother bought his Wii from had a deal where if you buy a Wii you get a free Gameboy micro cause they weren't selling well and he gave it to me sense he already had the gameboy advance and i was a kid at the time but I remember playing alot of Spyro
I got a Game Boy Micro when I was 5 for Christmas (2006) and they sold it for very cheap back then because nobody really wanted it. I still have it, and I love the small size of it! It's very awesome!
I bought one on eBay in 2006 for $70 shipped, brand new sealed, I ended up trading it for a PSP one year later. A few months ago I recently repurchased two Game Boy micros on for $80 each.
Good day! I just wanna say your video is excellent, spot on and straightforward. Anyways, GB micro could be unable to play GB and GBC roms but you'd be likely to improve your Micro by buying an EZFlash Omega or an Everdrive so you wouldn't have to carry a lot of game cartridges and also, those flash carts can emulate GB and GBC as well (as I knew, they are also capable of emulating some NES roms).
I found the diminutive size hard to use. Big meaty clubs weren't meant to hold miniscule consoles. Kinda why I preferred the big xbox controller over it's shrunken replacement.
DS Lite was so much fun. One of my best childhood memories was when half of the school bus had one and we'd all connect to one persons Mario Kart game on the way to school
The Gameboy Micro was my first ever games console, I got it for Christmas when I was 6 with Ice Age 2. I still have it and it’s right beside me right now. I will never not love that little thing, it was my childhood!
I still have my gameboy micro black edition, and I play it from time to time. I've always loved it's small size, and have never been bothered by the screen size actually. As a teenager I got really sick and spent some time in the hospital, this was nice to be able to have between tests.
I had my fingers crossed that you had the Happy Mario version, but alas it's not. : ( I absolutely love mine, I had it in my pocket when I got married.
I have my one and only black GB MICRO. The same model that you tossed in the garbage. I kinda know how you feel tho. Back around the mid 2000s I had an Atari Lynx that I bought brand new from EB GAMES (back when it was called Electronic Boutique) and bought probably 2 games for it. I actually liked it for what it was. Played it for a while then stopped and just packed it away for years. Then when it came time for me to also move out of the house into my own space I was also tossing junk away. I decided to toss my Atari Lynx with its two games, as well as the carrying case and car charger that I had with it all those years ago. I kinda wish I never threw them away because I became a games/console collector over the years. I also regret selling my two SNES systems with the 5 games I had with it plus my Super Scope 6...
I have the silver one (and i LOVE it). The Game Boy Micro is PERFECT for playng 3d gba games like Smashing Drive. The smaller screen reduce the pixellated effect.
Well i kinda prefer the flip-flap or the battery operated version of gba back then, I was actually glad i gotten the Micro from Mom as my birthday gift. Its silver in colour and its still can operate but just the A button is a bit off. I love it and I still treasure it till this day
For a while this was my only system to play on (a friend let me have thiers) the battery ended up not working anymore, so I would just take the wires from my tablet and plug them into the battery input and charge it that way. Maaaan
I still have mine and play on it occasionally. Over here in the UK we did not get the upgraded GBA advance SP with the proper backlit screen so the micro had that advantage but-absolutely, the DS lite came out and the micro was doomed. Chucking stuff out? I could write a book on those regrets.
Hari Seldon we did get a gba sp in the UK with a backlit screen. It played gb and bc and gba games. Folded. Relatively small. Had a button to turn on and off the backlite(to save battery) but he backlite wasn't as good as a ds screen but was still nice. To me the gba so is the best gameboy
I think you are referring to the front lit model which was then superceded by a model which had a brighter back light and , as far as I am aware, was not released in the UK
Yeah i think it is frontlit actually. But it still is my favourite gameboy as the lighting is good enough for anyone to see the screen even if it is only frontlit. It's great anyway and when I do want to play a game with backlit I use my ds lite for gba and ds games and my gba sp for gb and gbc games and for gba when my ds runs out of power.
I blindly bought one of these while I was in high school so I could sneak in gaming in class. It was probably one of the best memories I have from being in school at the time. If I finished my work quickly I would pull it out really quick and noone would ever know. After I graduated I lucked out and had a friend who owned a few GBA sp's so he traded me one for my micro. I loved the micro and it worked for my purposes when I had it, but the utility of an sp has it beat.
I have the GBA Micro and I love it. Not my go-to portable and I haven't played it in like 6 months but I just now grabbed it, turned it on, and it worked, with a full charge. I have a cartridge for it that has hundreds of games on it, all the Pokémon games, all the Mario ones, etc. It's fantastic.
I bought one the day it came out. I have really small hands and I had the original DS but after a while it hurt my wrists and then I saw an advertisement for the Micro and I immediately bought one. I still got it somewhere, but I did pick up a pink one with original box and changer and they only wanted £5 for it. You'd pay £5 for the charger if you were lucky. I still play them even today. Perfect for the airport as security can be funny when it comes to electronics.
I just found my Gameboy Micro in my basement. I used to play this when I was in middle school and have the exact same version red with gold. It even still has a game in it.
I had a Gameboy Micro and a flash cart in high school in 2007, just before the era when smartphones really took off. Perfect combination--a huge gaming library in my pocket wherever I went.
I remember me and my friend had one we would take it to school and play it in biology class good times we even took our nintendo ds as well and play Mario kart
While I did not ever toss anything, I did sell when I was younger. Oh how I regret doing that. Over the years I lost (by selling) my red ds lite, purple GB colour, see thru GBA, original Wii, Atari 2600 (which broke when I shipped it RIP), GameCube silver, and DSi black (along with a PSP). Luckily I smarted up a little bit and now I collect these cool things when I come across them. Not long ago I was rummaging through some junk when I found a preserved original game boy and some Mario and donkey Kong cartridges. At first the cartridges would not load but I messed around with it and got everything to work. Now it sits on my shelf! I also was happy when I found another DS lite since that was my first Nintendo product and a huge part of my childhood with friends I met. This one is rose gold (shiny type) but I'll take it for being free with some Mario games. On a side note, you should seriously consider selling your iPhone 5 on eBay. I used to sell old devices (including my old consoles) on there and made a pretty decent profit on apple phones! Vintage computers have a good value too (especially Apple. Those are literally worshiped by some collectors) haha.
I remember I thought I was so cool because I had a game boy micro when my friends had the DS and told I told them that it could play music just so they would stop saying I wasted my money... Which I did. I mowed lawns all that summer just to buy one. Give me bleach.
I loved my Gameboy Micro. I had Mario Kart (which I loved) and Mario Golf (I didn't understand it) it was red. It's the one you were holding. Didn't know it was rare. Wish I still had it
The Gameboy Micro was by far my favorite iteration of the GBA. I bought it October 2005 with my Birthday money, and it was the first console, handheld or otherwise, that I had at release point, and it honestly fit my hands a lot better than the SP, the larger shoulder buttons helped with that. I sold it some time later, for a DS Lite, and missed it almost immediately. a couple years later I bought it again, and then sold it early in my marriage along with all my other gaming consoles and software to help us get through some tight months. I purchased my third Micro a couple years back, and while it really doesn't get much of any playtime anymore, and it's certainly not my original one, it still fils me with a warm nostalgia, and I'm hopefully not going to sell it like I did my other 2...
I still have mine in perfectly mint condition and I loved to play on it - the colors and the sound were just so much crisper and it was much easier to put into your pocket with those small dimensions. I really love this thing. It's a shame it failed.
I had a gameboy micro some 10-15 years ago and wound up selling it on eBay, and honestly I regret it to this day. I plan on replacing it here soon, just looking for the right color and condition. I plan on actually using it and revisiting my younger years, I still have my old GBA I got when I was a teenage and the games with it so I will have something to play on the Micro when I get one :).
I still have my micro. I was pissed when the right shoulder button went out mid boss fight. I couldn't cast magic anymore and that was his only weakness so I lost two hours of progress because I didn't save.
Not really -- I've had the Micro for ages, and I did a quick review on my main channel (I'm assuming you're Brazilian? Perhaps you've seen it!), but I never considered revisiting the subject until you requested it!
Oh wow, I thought this was your main channel, and now I've found out about your main channel! Portuguese (with the Brazilian accent) is a cool language!
I had a GBA SP when I was younger. I didn't get a DS until DS Lite in 2006. Later on I got a 3DS when it came out in 2011 and recently I got a Nintendo Switch many months ago.
I have the same Micro as you do and never noticed how much it was really worth people until I went to a vintage game store and tried to trade it in and the people behind the register actually told me that it would be wise for me to hold on to it and to this day I still have it
Omg This just brought me back to when I was a kid an my parents got me my first portable console, which was one of them Gameboy Micros, I remember always having a grand time with games like Super Mario World, Top Gun and many many more. Shame I left it somewhere in the house when I was a kid and wasn't able to find it anymore.. At least I didn't lose any of the fun memories I had with it!
I’m actually surprised that someone would think it was a failure. I don’t know how the gameboy micro was seen elsewhere but I was living in Japan when this was released back then and I never had the impression that the product was made to be sold to begin with, whether through ads or commercials. I remember I didn’t even see it in being sold in stores back then. It was clearly a novelty product that they released at the end of the gameboy life cycle to celebrate it.
Wow, September 2005, time flies, it feels like it was yesterday, I was 14, LCD Soundsystem, Nickelback and the Pussycat dolls were in the radio 24/7, only the richest kids of my school had the PSP/NDS, there were no MacBooks back then, only iBooks G4 and Powerbooks G4 with MacTiger, there were no iPhones, back in '05 if you wanted an smartphone, all you could get was a Palm Treo, a Nokia Symbian phone, or on of those TMobile Sidekicks, installing apps was a pain in the ass, you had to use these PC-Hotsync desktop applications that were super awful. I know this comment has maybe nothing to do with gaming but all those moments came back to my mind.
Back in 2011, I passed up an opportunity to buy a new in box Famicom edition for $80, because I was sure it'd depreciate in value over time... Oh, how naïve I was...
Back in high school, I almost bought one when I was out with my buddy but I was $20 short. I used to regret not getting it, but my Advance SP would have still been my go-to for any serious gaming and the Micro would have been something I took along during short, meaningless trips or outings just in case, if not just because.
>It was released in September 2005 Stopped watching there. Anyone who could put two and two together could figure out why it failed just from that alone. But I continued just to see your opinion on it. :)
10 years ago, my friend threw away his boxed SNES with 10+ boxed games, because he didn’t realize they were worth anything and they “Took up too much space” So don’t worry. You’re not the only one with the “What the fuck was I thinking” moments. He still kicks himself over it to this day 🤣
the micro is the first handheld portable device I got, and I've gotta say that thing is nearly impossible to destroy by accident. I left it on the dashboard of my mom's car while driving and the window was down at the time. when she turned on the highway that thing rolled right off and on the highway my mom pulled over and dashed to the micro it still works amazingly, but if that happened to a phone now it would've been shattered and would had a glitchy screen.
That's the peculiar paradox with glass screens -- more resistant to scratches, yes, but less so to drops! (Though come to think of it -- under the cover plate, is the screen on the Micro glass? I'm not home, so I can't check, and I haven't removed mine in ages)
I did have one, on top of a GBA, two SP's and already having a DS at the time. I just loved anything new I saw from Nintendo and had to have it. And yeah, I really enjoyed it at the time! That being said, tons missing from this thing. Cool little handheld, but overall nothing that special looking back.

Harry Potter and chamber of secrets for gba was probably the only good Harry Potter game. It was like a jrpg.

the hardware inside the Micro is actually backwards compatible. other GBA models had a small plastic switch inside the cartridge slot to switch the hardware into GBC mode (they couldn't figure out a software solution so they went that route)
the Micro doesn't have such a switch, and therefore cant switch into GBC mode.
hacking it tho can make it backwards compatible, but that's not practical to do really... but it works
I threw away my PSP for the same minimalist ideology... Massive regrets now.
radiocaf I still have my PSP... And my original DS, my cube, my launch edition 3DSes, PS3, PS2, original Xbox, all of my stuff (except my Game Boy Color, who I traded to a friend so then she could play Pokèmon Yellow again. I got FF XII Collectors Edition out of the deal.)
I threw away my ds lite because it was pink and i already had a 3ds.
Dreadheadman 64 I would have bought that from you, my little sister has been looking for a pink DS lite.
I still have my PSP. I still actually never got over it. I play it and it’s fun!
no honor
I love my little micro but do you know what’s really REALLY annoying???
The speaker!!!!! Every time you press the a and b buttons your thumb goes over the speaker and it makes a really annoying noise arghhhhh like you’re scratching the inside of your ear- that’s what it sounds like!! Argh!!!
But I do love how heavy it feels and it’s metal casing, so nice
I just scratched the inside of my ear. 😬
@@ItsSamStone you okay?
...turn the volume down. lol
I have one of these sitting in front of me right now, but I don't know where the charger is. This is my FAVORITE gameboy style, by far. I was able to get 10 of these at $20/each at the PX on post in Korea. I gave them as gifts to everyone.
MeatPopsycle that was the worst part. The charger was not the same as any of the other devices.
I got mine second hand and it didn’t come with a charger so I got a usb charger for it off eBay real cheap and just plug it into my iPhone charger 👍
Same here, I was deep cleaning my room and I found it with my copy of Pokemon Ruby but couldn't find the charger
MeatPopsycle which post I’m in korea now and I’ll love to buy some
@@Test-fc7xr Sorry, I am just seeing this response. I was at Camp Humphreys, but this was like a decade ago....
Wassup, me! Wass brackin' bruh how ya Livin?
Me Schiewe
I have a micro. It’s too cute to even describe it
I own this one. It's really cool. It's got a nice steel body and an LCD screen. I fell in love with it the moment I saw it in the store and I got it for around $50 brand new back then.
SylentEcho same
When I was a little boy my father found a gameboy micro in his job I still have it we thought it was broken but I got the charger today and it just needs a battery replacement and that’s it the console has the pink ladybug faceplate and it’s actually authentic I found the Nintendo logo on the back of the face plate
Several years ago, I sold my Micro Famicom Edition. Had the box and everything in perfect shape. I finally rectified that issue this week by buying a new one on eBay. It cost me about 250, cause I insisted upon finding one that was as perfect as my original. It was worth every penny.
I had one. Lost it in my house fire in 2011... Wish I still had it.. Along with all my other retro (90s) gaming systems...
I dont think it failed... it basically was overshadowed by the DS because nintendo still had faith in the gameboy line at the time... kinda like in the way there still supporting the 3DS today
Spintechfilms The micro seemed like insurance in case the DS didn’t succeed.
Spintechfilms if it wasnt successful, regardless the reason, it failed. Per the definition...
Eddie Perkins per the definition?.....
I prefer the Anbernic RG300X. It looks exactly like the micro but a bit bigger, including the screen, and its emulation so it runs all gameboy titles, and also nes and snes and several other things as well.
RG300X for the win. 👍
You threw a GB Micro away? YOU MONSTER.
I have a micro since it was released, I like it , the screen is clearly too small for certain games. My friends kids who are 10 or so have no idea this thing exists and they are Into Nintendo and ipads but when I showed it to them they are wowed by its smallness and love it!? 🤷♀️
Fun fact the gb micro was planned to have backwards compatibility but that would have brought up the cost. It still has some of the old 8bit chips
I still want one of these
I always disregarded the micro until i played one recently.
The thumbnail points to the speaker but you never talked about it...
trumpeter811 that's called click bait
trumpeter811 it was the boom box boy he talked about in his video.
or, instead of throwing it away or selling it, you could have given it to a random kid at a bus stop. Why didn't you think of that?
It failed because it was just smaller version of an old system just as they brought out new systems.
Pixelated Icon that could play the same games and even new games.
Pixelated Icon it probably would have done better if It was released before the DS
No that doens't is the cause the cause was because of that horny mouse in the ad which make leave good stuff inside ;)
I always wished the micro played GB/GBC games. The only reason I never went to it.
I know, right? :(
If you have a GBA Flashcart them, you could, I guess.
Same here that's why I still play the GBA SP
I bought one on eBay in 2006 for $70 shipped, brand new sealed, I ended up trading it for a PSP one year later. A few months ago I recently repurchased two Game Boy micros on for $80 each.
thrasher956 wow.
thrasher956 I got myn in 2015 for 26$
I only could find them fot $140
I remember mine and loved the small size, but damn do your eyes hurt after playing over an hour and too bad you threw your GBM and GBC away
Majikalnight I lost mine
Majikalnight I only find difficult to read baldurs gate darl alliance. Size was ok.
I threw my dsi away back in 2013 when I got my 3ds. Now I regret it so bad...
The Gameboy Micro was my first ever games console, I got it for Christmas when I was 6 with Ice Age 2. I still have it and it’s right beside me right now. I will never not love that little thing, it was my childhood!
Wasn’t the micro just a limited run?
I guess that's a yes.
But yeah, they definitely weren't produced long.
I absolutely love mine, I had it in my pocket when I got married.
I could never throw away an old electronic, especially if it still works properly. At most I would just leave it in a drawer or just sell it .
Honestly MY FAVORITE console. Small and compact. makes it really easy to carry around and play whenver i want. The image is amazing
The screen is beautiful but the lack of backwards compatibility is a killer. Nothing beats the SP
Well i kinda prefer the flip-flap or the battery operated version of gba back then, I was actually glad i gotten the Micro from Mom as my birthday gift. Its silver in colour and its still can operate but just the A button is a bit off. I love it and I still treasure it till this day
For years I've been wanting a Game Boy Micro. I still need one in my life...
Hari Seldon I saw like 2 in a shop on the UK. I can hardly find an AGS-101 so I think it's vice versa.
I got one the day it game out.. it had a cool cloth bag case type thing. Too bad it failed I thought it was cool.. idk what happened to mine though
Moecean its in your couch never to be seen again
I have the GBA Micro and I love it. Not my go-to portable and I haven't played it in like 6 months but I just now grabbed it, turned it on, and it worked, with a full charge. I have a cartridge for it that has hundreds of games on it, all the Pokémon games, all the Mario ones, etc. It's fantastic.
i remember getting one when i was like 7 and it was pretty ok.
Wow,i always asked myself "Izzy Nobre sounds a lot like a portuguese-kinda name",never thought that you were actually a brazilian, that's really cool!
I just found my Gameboy Micro in my basement. I used to play this when I was in middle school and have the exact same version red with gold. It even still has a game in it.
The thing I like the most about the Micro is that it has a headphone jack for when you want to play GBA games in the train :)
Love the fact that he looks so angry when he rememebers how he threw his first gameboy micro
Threw them in the garbage..(swapped them for crack)
It's a shame it failed.
you are awful for throwing game console away
how much space would it take in your home for that small?
I had a gameboy micro some 10-15 years ago and wound up selling it on eBay, and honestly I regret it to this day. I plan on replacing it here soon, just looking for the right color and condition. I plan on actually using it and revisiting my younger years, I still have my old GBA I got when I was a teenage and the games with it so I will have something to play on the Micro when I get one :).
I still have my micro. I was pissed when the right shoulder button went out mid boss fight. I couldn't cast magic anymore and that was his only weakness so I lost two hours of progress because I didn't save.
THANK YOU (I’m the one who requested this video) I never really understood why it flopped until this video.
Woah, a requested video? Cool! =D
LoekTheKing yeh I was really surprised he just took it on board as soon as I asked about it he probably wanted to make a video on it already.
I’m not Brazilian but I try to watch some of your stuff on your other channel even though I can barely keep up
I had a GBA SP when I was younger. I didn't get a DS until DS Lite in 2006. Later on I got a 3DS when it came out in 2011 and recently I got a Nintendo Switch many months ago.
gb micro was great i could play mario or pokemon while in class
I have the same Micro as you do and never noticed how much it was really worth people until I went to a vintage game store and tried to trade it in and the people behind the register actually told me that it would be wise for me to hold on to it and to this day I still have it
Because it was meant to fail. It was just a nice send off
Omg This just brought me back to when I was a kid an my parents got me my first portable console, which was one of them Gameboy Micros, I remember always having a grand time with games like Super Mario World, Top Gun and many many more. Shame I left it somewhere in the house when I was a kid and wasn't able to find it anymore.. At least I didn't lose any of the fun memories I had with it!
i sold my CIB gbc pokemon spelcial edition and CIB pokemon yellow for 25 bucks. i still rue the day i made that decision
You did what to a Gameboy micro!
I'm getting one!!!!
Back in 2011, I passed up an opportunity to buy a new in box Famicom edition for $80, because I was sure it'd depreciate in value over time...
Oh, how naïve I was...
I have a micro. I love it.
Back in high school, I almost bought one when I was out with my buddy but I was $20 short. I used to regret not getting it, but my Advance SP would have still been my go-to for any serious gaming and the Micro would have been something I took along during short, meaningless trips or outings just in case, if not just because.
>It was released in September 2005
Stopped watching there. Anyone who could put two and two together could figure out why it failed just from that alone.
But I continued just to see your opinion on it. :)
My grandma was very into gaming in the early 2000’s before she passed and I remember her having multiple of these things
10 years ago, my friend threw away his boxed SNES with 10+ boxed games, because he didn’t realize they were worth anything and they “Took up too much space”
So don’t worry. You’re not the only one with the “What the fuck was I thinking” moments. He still kicks himself over it to this day 🤣
TenTonKoala ohh that’s so sad
CrazyMangoz I know. It broke my heart a little bit when he told me haha
WTF Was there no one he could have gave it to? I know he is your friend but please next time you see him tell him I said he's a dumbass.
the micro is the first handheld portable device I got, and I've gotta say that thing is nearly impossible to destroy by accident.
Because they already had the gameboy advance sp
I did have one, on top of a GBA, two SP's and already having a DS at the time. I just loved anything new I saw from Nintendo and had to have it. And yeah, I really enjoyed it at the time! That being said, tons missing from this thing. Cool little handheld, but overall nothing that special looking back.
The smol boi Of consoles
I'm 24 now. I got this when I was a kid for Christmas. I loved it like crazy.
