I'd have never guessed it originated in the US. Our machines aren't great and usually are filled with cheap items like rubber balls or jelly bands for kids. It would be cool if we had some nice ones like these instead.
I've never been intressed in gacha and don't see the appeal myself, but this is certainly fun for those who do love gacha or want to give it a try. ☺️ However, this place could be a worth a visit just to look around too. 🙂
Why have two people decided to come by and be so negative...? You do you, Isabelle. If you want to buy Gasha, go for it. They recycle the plastic there anyway. I will say though, there's probably better things in Japan that you could spend your yen on! But if you want to get some as souvenirs or from your favourite series... Why the hell not!
Buy whatever you want, gacha is fun. Just make sure you are getting stuff you’ll use! If you like dolls there you can use some of the miniature things with that, if you like anime series get keychains! Whatever makes you happiest.
@@BakaTaco I’m also getting omamori (shrine amulets), fabrics only found in Japan, sake, ceramics, and many other Japan-exclusive items. Obviously I’m taking tons of photos and videos, but I want some physical items. I’m probably only going to Japan twice, hence why I want to make both trips count (I’ll be visiting Kyoto and Tokyo, but they’re somewhere in the next 5 years that I’ll be going). Plus, I want to get some souvenirs for my friends.
OMG! on my next visit to japan, I am going home broke.. I have a gacha problem, last time I spent $500 on Akihabara just on gatcha XD... oh and I really like your hairstyle
OMG, my dream store. There's gachapon here in UK they are okay good ones so far are Doctor Who or Shaun the sheep. I did get Turtwig Pokemon from the service station ones. I find better ones in Hong Kong, some places sell the capsule separate and some machine you can use E topup card called Octopus. My sister went to Japan and brought me back lots of gachapon, a nice one is gozilla netsuke style charm. I want visit to Japan and bring huge haul. Dragon Quest 😍
To those who are confused. Gacha ガチャ or Gacha-pon ガチャポン , Gasha ガシャor Gasha-pon ガシャポン , and Gacha gacha ガチャガチャ. All of those are correct in Japanese. (if my English is bad, so sorry XD)
I really like your narrative voice! Its very clear and easy to understand (I'm not a native english speaker, so this really makes it easy to enjoy your videos :) ) Keep up the good work! You're a great choice for Only in Japan!
Searching for cute girls guess the answer is the Gashapon store haha also laughs that doorbell probably was the same manufacturer from the gacha boom of the 70's making new doorbells for another generation ^_^
Both Gasha(ガシャ) and Gacha(ガチャ) are both valid names. please see this excerpt from wikipedia "Gashapon (ガシャポン), also called gachapon (ガチャポン), are a variety of vending machine-dispensed capsule toys popular in Japan and elsewhere. "Gashapon" is onomatopoeic from the two sounds "gasha" (or "gacha") for the hand-cranking action of a toy-vending machine, and "pon" for the toy capsule landing in the collection tray. "Gashapon" is used for both the machines themselves and the toys obtained from them. Popular gashapon manufacturers include Tomy, which uses the shortened term gacha (ガチャ, gacha) for their capsule machines, and Kaiyodo. In the United States, "Gashapon" is a registered trademark of the Bandai Company,[1] and gashapon are referred to as blind box sets due to packaging requirements by retailers prior to official distribution of the actual gashapon machines."
If I was there I would spent hundreds to satisfy my collection addiction.
I honestly miss capsule toys in the US. I would totally keep my capsule but I like that recycle option.
The special attention to detail to highlight the i in "animate"...beautiful
Gonna be flat broke if I ever set foot in this place 💸
Same lol

Great vlog
Great video. Because of this, I am adding Toshima City, and this store to my Japan visit plans.
Great episode! My favorite Gachapon are always the ones that use the capsule in an interesting way.
gachapons are rare where im at with one 2 x 6 being an hour+ away from me, this place could be overwhelming.
Originally from USA?. We dont have many and they are not very good
Ohhhh yessss! But I gotta be careful there! I'm gonna spend my life's savings on Gachapon!!!
Gachapon are dangerous....there are so many of them with so much fun stuff. I always end up buying way too many of them.....
Yes the land of joy 🤩
I've never been intressed in gacha and don't see the appeal myself, but this is certainly fun for those who do love gacha or want to give it a try. ☺️

Someday, I’ll be going back to Japan. When I do, I’ll spend a TON of money on Gashapon.
Why? It's junk.
Sorry I'm not trying spoiling your joy and excitement but you're just contributing to the world's garbage
Why have two people decided to come by and be so negative...?

Japan took the capsule toy concept and ran with it!
Indeed they always, know to take a simple concept and expand on it greatly.
OMG I need to go here the next time I go to Japan! I would spend waaay too much money there haha!
New destination when we can travel to Tokyo again! 👌 MUST GO 😍
That is pretty cool video
I appreciate the recycling machine. Bandai should do something similar with plastic sprues from Gundam kits.
gee I wonder where I seen a video showing what gachapon are before
Thank. You. For. Recycling. And they made it fun too!
Nicely done.
Omg. I would need a map for this mall. They didn't say how many vending machines are in there?
Ugh. I want! It would be even more enjoyable with friends, like if you got something twice you can just trade.
This seems like a fun visit with the family, it is a bit surprising/peculiar how much better the quality of the items is in Japan.
OMG! on my next visit to japan, I am going home broke.. I have a gacha problem, last time I spent $500 on Akihabara just on gatcha XD... oh and I really like your hairstyle
I feel you lol I will be broke as well
What impressed me the most is the recycling machine!
I will hustle to my education and in future i want to travel japan.
Doorbell and replica toilet are the best!
Love the eyemask! But I'd be disappointed too to get Sakura 😂
Speaking of shamisen, Mashiro no Oto started airing.
Man I def want to go to this place when I go to Japan later
I Wanna Go There
I Love Japan
I Love Gashapon
I Love Japanese Shrine
And Tourist Spot And Akihabara
YES PLEASE!
They probably chose Sunshine City because the location was vacant. The unit their in use to house the Mazaria arcade and before that it was J-World.
Would love to visit here ! But wow. Thats a lot of plastic !
2:04 I wonder why this red bus-like vehicle has many wheels? 🤔
Hermoso !!!
1:46 there's a machine for bangdream
I really hope they can fix the audio because the video is already entertaining , but the audio is clearly distracting.

Welcome to the World's Biggest Gasha Store.
Is it true though that in many places they've removed these the past year
Probably because of the virus and people are likely to touch the machine, so they'll probably come back during better times ^^
I bought a ticket to go back to my country and spend as much as I want.
when I was a kid the toys were 25 cents. Most I saw in Tokyo were $4 and up.. Not worth it.
A video...so...kawaiii😊😊👌
Awesome and all but look at the volume of plastics??!! Poor Mother Earth
This is what heaven looks like
Imagine going there to collect Sentai Gears and Wonder Ride Books around this time... Sigh....
Heh. The video starts with a japanese version of "Call Me" by Blondie!
'Gachagacha'
Tokyo's kids call that so.
Omg!😱 someone give me yen and direct me to the place. How exciting! As an adult i think if i took kids they'll get in my way from all the fun lmao 😜😝😁
Sure, why not pay extra for the toy you didn't want.
and you only get the one you dont want, everyone else gets the one you do want
backrooms level japan: GACHA PON
The miniature toilet will definitely remind you of your time in Japan if you also visited the 30¥ sushi store...
Would they be upset if I brought my own vending machine keys?
世界中から100円玉が集まりそうな予感!w
is it expensive?
Way too expensive and bad form of addiction plus the plastic waste
@@saratoga4126 your games does too
Looks like MewWolf's Omega Mart
where is the Indian dude
He aged out.
He has his own channel now
This makes me miss Japan even more. I can't wait until I can travel there again. #firstplacetovisit. Thanks for sharing this very important news. 😁
You need a lot of coins to collect Gacha
Haha.
Not bringing my kid there. "Hey, BOI! You manna develop a gambling addiction?"

Gacha (ガチャ) and not gasha ;D
You just made fool of yourself.
