Whether or not you did _it_ doesn't matter, you're here today and you only need to say several words to make your problems go away.

What's your view of criminal prosecutions in Polk County? Not getting into the specifics of my case. My attorney has advised that Polk County truly does its own tning vs other counties. I hsve no prior criminal record.

I’ve had a few cases there. Things have worked out but it was stressful at first and had to break through my own preconceived notions of what was occurring and remind myself people are people and figured out ways to connect.

It must be very mentally draining having to watch your clients break down in front of you.

there should never be these types of choices, a misdemeanor for something you did not do versus risking a felony if Florida's for profit prison system. Russian roulette. It should be banned. Sober sentences all around and allow truth to come out and lead to proper intervention and psychological help. We need broad reform. Informative video though, a real world vibe thanks.

Did I ever say they did not do it? Most, not all, committed the crime. That is reality. Maybe state can’t prove for one reason or another but it occurred.

@@thelawofficesofrogerp.fole7886 You did not. I am sure some have, you may know more on that. And many more have not been caught, yet. And some are innocent. All the gradients in the middle.
I did an interview once with someone. Where a double version of a serious crime was a potential plea of 5 years, then 15 - risking 30. So arbitrary.
Any innocent person would be tempted to pick the 5. Russian roulette is too expensive. A guilty person might reject culpability and refuse the first option and fall in around the 2nd option when the initial defense mechanisms wear off. And lets face it 30 years, as far as most of the world is concerned, is cruel and unusual.
Where I, on the outside looking in, would rather see a society of sober sentences. Say 5 years max. Where people look at incarceration as a positive opportunity for seeking truth in a prosperous time-out place. More time is not as good as quality time.
This system creates defense mechanisms, including inside lies if you did do it, or even if you did not do it.
      Idealistic I know.
