Demo of Keurig K-Mini Plus With Full Review

- The Keurig K-Mini Plus was released in 2018 around the same time that the regular K-Mini was released. I purchased both a year ago in the back end of 2019 and I have brewed close to 1000 k-cups with them since then. The majority of those cups were brewed with the K-Mini Plus however.
As of today's recoding the K-Mini Plus has been my favorite k-cup brewer to use so far so I figured this would be a great time to review it for you.

Thanks for the review. I’m glad you are able to use it at your home full time. I’d like to point out for other viewers that this model was designed for travel and you can even purchase a nice sturdy case to carry it in. Coffee is such an important part of the morning routine for some of us that it’s SSOOOO worth taking this with you when away from home for more than a day or two.
That's exactly why I have mine. I don't want to use the coffee makers in hotel rooms.

I bought my Keurig Mini Plus to travel with especially to my parents house so the 9 pod storage comes in handy. Very lightweight.

Mine broke in 2 days. It just stopped working and would never start again. If yours brakes good luck getting a replacement. They have lied to me every time I've called support telling me oh congratulations it just shipped today and then they give me some BS numbers they go nowhere so I asked him I said how can you ship USPS or UPS and yet tell me that's not it? I've never experienced such lies with customer service in my life.

Thank you. I have the mini in my motor home and I’ve been using it for the last week or so. I do like it, but I find I have to pull the lever down a couple of times before I can get it to brew. I like your tip to manually push the cup down and then pull the top down. I’m going to try that the next time I make a cup.
I had the K Express and really liked it, but I was dumb and left it in my semi truck with water in it over the Christmas break, and the water froze and cracked the reservoir. I decided to just replace the whole unit and bought the Mini Plus. I like it so far. It doesn't take up much space, which is a major plus for me since I have limited space in my truck.
I used to have the Hamilton Beach coffee maker that make both k cups and full pots. I got that as a Christmas gift from my parents one year because my mom thought I needed to save money on coffee. When we moved from South Dakota to Illinois we couldn’t take it with us (due to no room in car for it). Now that we’ve moved from Illinois to Texas I was buying coffee or energy drinks every single day due to the fact our Airbnb didn’t have a coffee maker. Now that we can move into our new apartment soon my fiancé told me to get a Keurig this time. We looked at Walmart didn’t see any we liked under $100. So we looked online and my fiancé found the Keurig mini series. He wanted black but I said no. Then I looked at other color options and fell in love with the evergreen color. So we went to target to get one because they were having a sale that ended today (07/30/22). He saw the light blue color and liked it better but I was dead set on the getting the green one and we did. I absolutely love it. I loved your comparison video. Mine didn’t come with the pod holder and it don’t have the strong coffee setting on it. I love how you can remove the bottom over fill tray to fit a taller size travel mug.
Do you choose the cup size simply by how much water your pour in? And it uses the entire reservoir?

Nice review! I just ordered a mini from Amazon .. you mentioned the strong button I didn’t realize it had that option (didn’t realize there was a difference actually) and when you said you prefer it much more than the original I was like crap I must cancel order .. well I logged on and it turns out the one I ordered is a mini plus 😅
Someone posted a video showing him manually puncturing 3 holes in the bottom of the k-cup to get a stronger brew. Your thoughts?
How hot is the coffee? I appreciate coffee that is nice and hot. My older Keirig still works but the coffee was never that hot
Good review!! I have an old Keurig K-15 for over ten years now and she has never let me down! BUT she is getting slow and the scale buildup just wont clean up anymore, so I thought about a smaller one, glad you pointed out the difference between the mini and the mini plus! I loove the idea of the removable water holder, I did not want a machine with a big reservoir as I am the only one who drinks coffee in our house and make literally one cup a day and want fresh water and the strong option. I heard to use it for hot chocolate and tea k-cups too! so I am ordering one today
I recently got this model to replace my 3 Chulux k cup brewers that don't work. The reviews I read had many complaints about the brew temp not being hot enough. I took a chance and bought anyway. The coffee is not hot enough. 161 degrees is as hot as I get. Too bad Technivorm doesn't make a k cup mini.
So, as far as I know there is not a manufacture making a k cup mini that works as it should.

Superb video as I was trying to decide which mini Keurig to purchase. I will certainly go with the K Mini Plus for all of your mentioned reasons. You could use the storage container for creamers when traveling.

I came to get info as looking for something small to keep at my desk. You never mentioned the size, could you do a comparison to a general item like laptop or piece of paper etc?
When I put water in the reservoir it leaks right out, wonder if that's normal. If so, that blows part of the reason I bought it so that I don't have to use a cup to fill the water. Also, if doesn't seem to have a small, medium and large size cup selector.
I have the k-supreme and it heats super fast like instantly BUT the pump does not work right and its not delivering all the water so it lasted one year. Also its annoying to change the filter. You tend to forget the filter which is bad for it gets nasty fast . i found that out when i accidentally went 3 months without changing it. i just bought this model. it will be much slower but at least I don't have filters to change
The only thing I don’t care for is that I could brew three cups in the Supreme in the time it takes to do one in this model! Plus this is noisier. I just bought mine so it’s not bad so far.

Do you know if the Keurig Mini in Oasis is the same color as the Keurig Mini Plus in Misty Green? My Mini just died after my first time descaling it.... I bought the side k-cup holders in Oasis, but wanted to switch to the Mini Plus and am wondering if the holder will still match.

Is the flavor from the strong button the same as the flavor from hitting the shot button 3 times on the Keurig Latte?
Mine shuts off and stops brewing after pressing the brew button. It sucks the water and it doesn't come out. I have to open the lever again, press brew, and fill more water or else it won't come out. How do I fix this problem? Or am I doing something wrong? I just got it a few days ago!

I think it’s just the lighting. It should be labeled Midnight Teal when you’re shopping for the Mini Plus. 🙂

Any idea why the strong button would just stop working? I’ve only had my Mini Plus for a few months. The strong button worked, then it was sporadically working and now not working at all.
Because that's how Keurig designed it. At least you got some time to use it mine broke in two days and they refuse to give me any honesty and when I will receive my replacement they continuously lie about when I'm supposed to get it. Never in my life have I been treated like this.
Does the water reservoir come off?
Yes, it comes off for the K-Mini Plus but not for the regular K-Mini. I wouldn't ever consider buying the K-Mini over the Plus version especially since the pricing is so close. The removable reservoir and strong button are easily worth the extra few bucks at the register.

I was really confused about if it uses a filter. If you go to keurigs website, it says the filter fits the k-mini and k-mini plus. These models don't appear to use a water filter.
Yeah, the K-Mini and K-Mini plus have reservoirs that are too small for the actual charcoal water filter. Instead they put a small filter screen in them, basically a mesh screen that keeps large sediment from entering the internal parts of the machines. On the Mini Plus you can remove the reservoir and I put mine in the dishwasher which helps keep that screen clean on the regular K-Mini you can't do that so it always looks a bit grimier. A while back I gave away my K-Mini and kept the K-Mini plus otherwise I'd show a pic in a future vid.
I had a k 2.0, I am disappointed with the mini plus for a couple reasons. It takes longer as it does not store water. It takes longer than the 2.0 in strong mode, it's a lot louder. I an keeping it as a spare, I ordered a K select to replace my 2.0.
What color blue is that? Not seeing that color in the plus!
On Amazon it comes in Cool Blue and Evening Teal
If I just want to use it for water. And have a pack of tea will it work? With out having the k cup?
