I changed the oil in my Willys shocks with 30wt and it made a big difference in the shocks not sticking… but I never thought of removing that small piece of plastic to increase suspension. Great suggestion and an excellent clearly detailed video. 👍
I've had my Willys for a bit and didn't even want to drive it until I got a driver figure. Been busy with other projects but today I decided to start on the driver figure mods to get them to fit correctly and to free up the left arm so that it'll move with the steering wheel. Was just about to start on the shocks when I happened to see this video. Never thought about removing the bump stops for more articulation before now. Just one question... On the front, without the bump stops on the shocks, do you have any tire/body interference on full lock turns and full articulation? I'd rather have less articulation than have that horrible sound of tire rub... Nice video, BTW.
A great well engineered model , just wish it had come out stock with leaf springs for a more accurate look ... and then let's mod it if your not happy with the performance.. I hope this doesn't present as a negative comment.. just a suggestion IMO
