I have a 5 year old Australian Cattle Dog. He is a highly intelligent creature, extremely sensitive and is an amazing communicator. He will never fail to get his wants and needs across. Yesterday was a great example... while playing in the front yard a friend drove up and parke his vehicle. After greeting him my dog began to run around his car maybe 5 times and he wasn’t about to stop. I guess he wanted a ride. My friend asked Do you want a ride and he barked. So we all got in the car including my other dog while we drove up and down the street as my friend didn’t have long. When we got out everyone was in a much better mood.
I also find it really funny. I still giggle every time they press the buttons. I've always wanted to be able to talk to my pets. Who knew it was this easy?!
I love your videos, seeing Luna's progress and development with "happy" makes me happy. Can't wait for more. Also wouldn't mind getting a segment of your cat(s)!
Thank you! You may have already seen it but I did do a short video of my cat Toby (ua-cam.com/video/pVaHtjsjubA/v-deo.html). My other cat, Taco, has only pressed the hungry button once, but I didn't catch it on video! He used the same weird technique of pressing the button as Toby. Normal cats just use one paw (@billispeaks on Instagram)! My cats are not that advanced!
Good question. I do think she protects them from the cats, but she doesn't mind if her sister Izzy uses them. Izzy also frequently lays by the buttons. They are very attached to them. It is interesting.
I know. It’s silly but my kids added it for fun when we first started and we’ve just kept it. It doesn’t seem to complicate things at all. I don’t think they care whether it says outside please or just outside.
Yes, we read that after we had started the process. Those buttons were the easiest to teach so that’s where we started. It has actually been helpful because we have adjusted their feeding time because it turns out they are hungry earlier in the day than we thought. I was also worried about having these food buttons but they (Izzy uses the buttons now too) only hit treat about once a day and hungry around feeding time (or when we are eating!). Their favorite buttons are actually “outside please” for Luna and “pick me up” for Izzy!
It’s so fascinating how attached your pup is to her buttons.
It really is. I think that is why my other dog doesn't use them (her same-age sister) - they aren't her buttons!

Dogs are actually great communicators, and they are better than most humans and reading body language and sensing moods!
Sleeps by the buttons!.... these things Really work!,🤗💕
I like how Alexa responded to her request to "Pick Me Up"
Ha. Yes I noticed that too. Good timing! Lol
I just found these videos of this dog and another being able to communicate via the same set up, and holyyyyyy shit this is so fascinating
I agree. I didn't actually think it would work when I bought the buttons. If I didn't have a full time job I would just watch my dog talk all day!
dnrzoo sameee I’m tempted to get the set up, I’m sure the dog is having fun as well since it’s a higher form of communicating
I think this is super cool and am impressed....so why do I falso find this so hilarious?!?

I am wondering if she lays next to the buttons so that the other animals can't use them.

How does anyone dislike this?
Haters will be haters. :)
I wonder if she tells you mom-no-go when you go to work.
That will be interesting if we ever go back to the office!
That bloody cat needs a lesson, I say.
Why did you complicate the "outside" by adding the "please" to it?! Your dog is not a child that needs to be reminded to be polite...

I thought it was a bad idea to have buttons for treats or food. Doesn't seem productive or helpful.

@@dnrzooLunaandIzzyTalk Well alright then, learned something new.
