My grandfather maintained Halifax's and Lancasters with No 6. Group RCAF Bomber Command during World War II. The Lancaster was always his favorite. The sound of those Merlins is amazing. Nice formation with the B-29's. Good video!

Couple of SuperForts, impressive! Was privileged to see an AVRO Lancaster progeny, the Shackleton in service action while stationed at RAF Lakenheath from 1979-1982. One came in for a visit and landed and parked on the transit ramp, watched it take off the next day. Wish we'd had the cameras we have today, the unique aircraft memories from 1972-1993 would not seem to fade as fast.
