  • There is one piece of technology that I’ve used for all of 2015 since the day it came out, and it’s not a smartphone, smartwatch, or Fitbit; It’s a piece of smart jewelry called the Bellabeat Leaf. A lot of gadgets cross my desk, and I very rarely feel the kind of connection and excitement with a device that I felt with the Leaf. From the moment I saw it, I wanted to wear it.
I’ve worn the Leaf since May 2015, and I’ve watched the companion app grow and improve to meet the demands of Bellabeat’s very tech-savvy user base. After half a year wearing it, I can confidently say that the Leaf is the best piece of smart jewelry I’ve ever used - in spite of its initial growing pains.

Thanks for the video! Yours is the most informative. I saw the add for the Bellabeat Leaf and decided to do some UA-cam research. Your review is why I decided to buy it. I've had it for 3 days now, and love it! I just researched your video to see how to wear it as a bracelet, and how to navigate the app. Thank you!!

As a nurse student this piece of tech seems like a great option instead of the fitbit watch, as I can't wear that when I'm in contact with patients.

Thanks for your review. I want a fitness tracker, but am trying to figure out which one is best for me.

    Nice :)
Thanks, this is the first time I'm hearing about this device.

I like the video but one note, it should start with what it does instead of how to wear it. :)

From as far as I can tell it's an accelerometer with a bluetooth chip. You're basically paying for the advanced "AI".

This seems very nice. I have been looking for a fitness/activity tracker for a while but they all seemed so bulky and not the type of thing I would wear every day. This however is so versatile. And the Cycle tracking is a plus.

not a good sign when over half the video is about demonstrating how to wear the damn thing. Oh, by the way, this is what it does.

2:42 I have small wrists and that looks cheap, bulky and kinda ugly....I wish this was sold in stores nearby so I could take a closer look.

They fail to list even the most basic of information about this device so I wouldn't expect much from it.

Honestly, I was very unimpressed with this piece. I paid $200 for it for my girlfriend and the quality is not good. The necklace looked like something that comes out of a 25 cent machine and the deceptive packaging made it look like it came with a bracelet as well. But it didnt. Just an incredibly cheap, thin necklace. Definitely returning this unit. Also, this video review was likely sponsored by the company.

I'm not surprised. It does look incredibly tacky and I just can't find much about how it's supposed to work. I feel like I could get more information about the grade of rose quartz used than the chips that they want to pretend don't exist. Sorry to hear you got scammed. I hope you get a refund and always remember to read the critical reviews as they can sometimes be enlightening.

    Hi!! I have 3 questions:
    1) Does it works when the smartphone is off? Or if I forget the cellphone at home?
    2) What kind of activity does it control? Only steps? Other? And how?
    2) Does it emit bluetooth waves? I read that they are harmful.
    Thanks

Does this emit bluetooth radiation? That's the only thing I'm worried about.
    Thanks! :)

    • @Competitive_Antagonist
      @Competitive_Antagonist 4 роки тому

Don't worry, the rose quartz will negate the harmless non-ionizing radiation.

it would be awsome if it could also track calories lost via breastfeeding

I'm sure you could get more for less. It looks like the Fisher Price of activity trackers.

So it's basically a £70 accelerometer, for women who care more about looks than function?

CobraDove don't worry, it only emits radiation levels close to a banana. That is .1 micro sieverts. You would need to eat 300 million bananas a year have any damage done. So don't worry about it.

    • @ConceptNull

Wow its so great when ignorant people, who have no actual knowledge of science make such claims.
Just ignore what CobraDove said, and you can ignore what edo mur said even tho it is closer to truth. Sieverts are measurement of IONIZING radiation strength, it is useless to try to use it to measure non-ionizing radiation, because at the end of equation you get higher than actual amount of potential damage, since you are using the equation for wrong measurement.
The truth is that bluetooth works in microwave spectrum, no where near close to ionizing radiation.
CobraDove educate yourself before you go around spouting bullshit and fearmonegering.
