I bought the 1 inch and I love the image quality. I have a video on my channel that I just uploaded using it, and I am blown away with the video quality. You did an excellent job of the comparisons. You can see when you put the 3 videos side by side, the 1 inch image quality blows the other 2 out of the water. That's the only reason I got it... I was tired of watching low resolution 360 videos on my headset, and wanted to create my own high resolution video. My video I uploaded of the beach turned out exactly how I wanted.
When rendering in flat rather than 360 what camera is better? The RS or the one inch? Using the 360 camera on the RS. I’m disappointed by the quality when doing so on the RS
Unfortunately FOR MY USE (and for anyone who needs uninterrupted, long recording capabilities), no Insta360 camera is usable!! I have to record uninterrupted long footage (full orquestral music concerts) and ALL of the Insta360 cameras introduce a 15s gap at every 30 minutes!! This is absolutely ridiculous for a camera in 2023... even my old Samsung 360 cameras didn't have this absurd fault!
Yeah why do they do that? Thankfully I had multiple cameras set up to cut to but didn’t even think these insta360 cameras stopped every 30 minutes and for so long.
I wish reviewers would mention this, but I guess most people just want short clips. I generally have to repeat sections of my bicycle rides to fill up the holes.
I have both the OneX and One X2. Both have several seconds long gap in the footage every 30 minutes while the files are being processed. I would get an X3 except that it apparently shares the same problem with all the other Insta360 cameras. Not too useful if you want continuous videos! Otherwise, they are very well designed.
Wow I haven't seen anyone say this until now, i was so close to getting the x3, but I want to be able to record concerts so now I have to find something else 😭
@@ComfortablyDumb42069 I guess most people only take short films. None of the reviewers ever mention it, but it is easy to google. I think only the Insta360 cameras have this gap.
I used an Insta360 One RS during my trip to Hawaii, great camera however what I did not like was moments where it randromly lost power and shut itself down. I ended up losing content I could not re-create. No clue why it did that. I used a Sandisk A2 V30 and a fully charged battery. It did it on numerous occasions but it was way too random for me to figure out why. Sometimes for instance it recorded for a good chunk of time but others it would just turn itself off. IMO it was a very unreliable camera.
Im interested in a 360 camera to record my kids sporting events. Id like to record an hour long game and reframe the video to only include the field (soccer, football, etc). Which would allow best quality on reframing or zooming to the action? Do any support target following?
I`m very happy witn One RS 360 (both lenses) but audio quality sucks. I bought Boya and Saramonic mics for better audio but quess what - they both sucks - almost like mp3 64 or 96 kbs.
I have the X2 and want the 1inch 360. Size isn't a problem, I often shoot with my a7R V on an RS3 Mini, which is gigantic in comparison. Too bad some of the features are only available on the X3. For biking, the X3 would clearly be better for its lower weight and pre-recording. I'm looking forward to a 1-inch 8K choice, even if it costs much more. I won't edit on my phone, so it doesn't matter if it requires top hardware.
The One Inch is better than the X3 or X2 in any scenario except it's a bit heavier. Image quality is amazing. I shoot skating videos in NYC day time and night time. One inch destroys the others
Thanks for the video, it's the best video for those like me who are undecided. I fall into the beginner category, but also family, thanks to your video I think I will buy an X3, also because for non-360 photos, I can use a smartphone or camera. Thanks for the video. I also put the comment in my language if something was not clear: Grazie per il video, è il miglior video per chi come me è indeciso. Io rientro nella categoria principianti, ma anche famiglia, grazie al tuo video penso che comprerò una X3, anche perchè per le foto non in 360, posso utilizzare smartphone o la machcina fotografica. Grazie per il video.
@@MountMediaChannel Yes! Kitesurfing mount you attach a selfie stick to it. So my doubt was if this case out of water will be invisible and dont prejudice the image
Great video! I have the X3 & I'm blown away about what it can do! My only issue is the audio/video sync is about a second out, so if you're doing any kind of speaking, it's useless. I found one setting called direction focus, but sometimes it works & sometimes it doesn't. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Great video - thank you. I consider buying the Insta360 ONE RS 1-inch for best quality and because I want to take a lot of photos. I have a question: How easy is it to reframe to a traditional flat video with the Insta360 ONE RS 1-inch camera? How can I do that? Is it simply a setting on the camera and how good is the quality of the traditional flat videos on this 1-inch camera?
Hi - it is easy - you do it with the app (mobile or desktop). The issue with the quality is the resolution - the 1-inch sensor produces good images but the reframed shot will have a resolution of 1080
Thanks for your reply and answer - much appreciated. One last question: I have to make a choice between the Insta360 ONE RS 1-inch and the GoPro Hero 12. Which one will you buy?
These are two very different cameras with advantages and disadvantages. I did a comparison X3 vs Hero12. That will help you out: ua-cam.com/video/93XoTTuTcsQ/v-deo.html
How's the warranty on these cameras? With go pro they have a no questions asked policy which iv warrantied 4 cameras with zero issue (broken and scratched lenses). I'm curious if insta360 has a similar policy.
With my insta 360 one X2 I submerged it in water and for some reason it crashed and I lost the footage and camera became unusable even though it should be able to be submerged under shallow water. Insta support requested that I send the cam to Hong Kong. I did and to be fair to them they replaced the camera with a new one straight away as it was within 1 year warranty. Although shipping costs weren’t refunded.
I still use gopro but pondering to switch to the rs...however, never really got disappointed by the gopro and it survived some serious contact with rocks ...so speaking for real action, gopro shouldn't be discarded easily
Hi there! Thank you for your video! I am new in the business of photograhy and I was thinking about one of these 3 cameras for: 360 virtual tours (real estate) and also for 360 live stream events (like weddings- for the people that cannot attend). Can you please tell me which of them is good for what I need to do? Thank you again and I'll really appreciate your answer @MountMedia
Hi Florin, especially when it comes to real estate, you need a camera that delivers the best possible quality in poor lighting conditions. That's why you should probably go for the one-inch.

What about the lower frame rate? The X3 can do 60fps at 4k and 100fps at 3k but the one inch can only do 50fps at 3k and 30fps at 4k
fps for fast action would benefits from it@@phantasticmrphasma9874
This video helped me boil it down to three cameras😅
All three of them have their own unique advantages.
There were only three in the video ..

I do live concerts 2-3 hours long with multiple cameras. Thanks for the heads up. I’ll stick to my GoPro Max 360.
