When putting mc back into teyvat, I noticed that there was red around them maybe that has something to do with that? Separate theory:I feel like paimon is a sort of secretary or is actually controlling celestia because if you see, she has the power to change time and knows more about the world than you do. She may be working for a higher power, high than celestia. Another theory:the mc(s) originally came from celestia and were trying to go back but couldn’t. They were the original cause for Vanessa’s ascension but couldn’t ascend anyone else because they lost their powers and are stuck on the land until the end of their journey.
@@xmarqx2173 second and third theories seem very plausible and i agree that paimon is either celestia’s secretary or she could be the ruler of the underworld. as we know, Teyvat is upside down, making it the underworld. this could explain why she knows so much about everyone and everything yet no one knows of her.
My theory is that paimon is just a psrt of the celestia, a newborn star or something, she never knew who's who and what's what she only know the places few because she live in the sky but then fell into the water, kinda like the sky is falling

Okay but can we stop arguing about who's the better villain and just agree that both are amazing in their own way. Lumine as the villain has that dead look that shows how determined she is to reach her goal, but still has that longingness. Aether as the villain has more of the longing look than Lumine, showing that he really wants to go home, but knows that he has to reach his goal first.
I wouldn't even say that your twin is the Villain, since the twin is just someone to bring a fallen nation back, or atleast give them back their real human life forms.
Plot twist: this was actually a loop. So it was Aether meeting Lumine and telling her that he had already traveled to their world once and his journey has ended. So Lumine finished her own journey then going back to the past Aether then telling him the same thing the other Aether told her. Then past Aether continued it. Then continued it, continued it, continued it, and continued it.
This would actually be such a cool way to end things, and it would be very unique too. We need something like this in the story, because overall, imo, it’s been pretty bland.
played pso2 and this is what literally happened in the game though the mc doesn't have a sister or a brother but he turned himself evil and did a looping timeline, he wasnt exactly evil but plans all the things from the villains side to just aid the mc to save her partner.
The twins do remind me of the Sun and Moon, Lumine's blue dress and sword just reflected how she pretty much embodies the ethereal and luminescent glow of the moon while Aether's bright, warm and yellow colors represent the brightness of the sun's rays. They are parallels of each other, one can't shine without the other.

as a Lumine user, I also enjoy seeing Lumine as an antagonist. It gives me that feeling of an “alternative universe” which I like a lot. But even with that, I don’t regret my choice of Lumine. I also love Aether as the antagonist too, I think he fits it better. He’s the kind of antag I like.
Ae is the canonical protag and Lu is the canonical antag, that’s why Lu sounded colder as the antag while Ae seemed a bit calmer and warmer in a way even as an antag.

Lumine talks coldly and harshly, but when she says "so we'll meet again" she sounds caring and loving. Aether, talks calmly all the time, but sounds colder at the same line
It’s like they have different focuses. While Lumine wants to return to Aether, she wants to finish her fight first. Aether, on the other hand, sounds like he wants to go back already, yet his goal is preventing him from doing so.
Damn it sucks to be traveler rn - he found his sibling - but she refused to go home with him and pretty much left him without any explanation - he realized that he was killing people all that time (since abyss is actually cursed humans) and he is now confused on which side he should be -
I love how clear is the difference in twins' personality despite both having the same script. On the one hand, Lumine is cold and distant, somewhat disappointed her brother teamed up with Dain and her goal is revenge. On the other hand, Aether sounds understanding and hopeful to reunite with his sister and he believes that he is doing the morally right thing. Voice acting does wonders.

I feel the line “we’ve always had enough time” relates to the God of Time. It makes sense. Khaenri’ah and the God of Time were both forgotten and were turned upon by the world. Khaenri’ah was a land that was not looked upon by the gods or Celestia, the only other god who, I assume, would be most welcoming would be the Time God. After all, time changes and must adaptable. I would think that Time God would be the only god that Khaenri’ahans would worship due to the Time God’s understanding personality or something similar. My theory currently is that, just like Dainsleif to Abyss Prince/Princess, Paimon's eventually going to become our enemy as well. We're travelling the same journey as our sibling, just 500 years later.

I like how both of the voices aren’t the same because it shows the different personalities the twins have because Lumine’s voice is cold and a bit stubborn while Aether’s voice is more emotional. It truly shows differences in personality and perspective- while other games like this would have the same feeling, Genshin Impact made the voices seem like the villains had a different way of seeing it.
The twin be like: "you gotta finish the story 1st bro. Im not spoiling." Abyss leader twin is like that player who's at the "end game" and our traveller is a newbie trying to power rush through the game to get to high level quick and be as strong as old players. 😂 "though we need not rush, i have more than enough time to wait for you" = enjoy your game and grind cause inazuma still isn't released yet.

I want to believe that Paimon is actually good/kind and very caring to us, because as of now, the twins barely have anyone they can trust... They can't trust Dainsleif really, neither the archons, ESPECIALLY THEIR TWIN BETRAYED THEM and probably on a roller-coaster of emotions processing what just happened... So Paimon comforting them is very nice. I hope the theories of Paimon being the enemy isn't true... I mean it'd be cool, but it'd mean the one who stuck with us all along would be betraying us too...
Listen, I love playing with traveler Lumine, she’s my best girl and I can’t imagine it any other way, but seining the “canon” scene with her as a princess just feels more right then my prince Aether 😭

It’s really interesting the voice direction where Lumine sounds angered and cold but Aether seemed hurt and almost longing to return home but both come off as incredibly devoted to their mission with the Abyss. It’s just really interesting!! Edit: kinda thinking about it tho it seems to fit with their fighting styles too like I think that wasn’t intentional but people forget the twins aren’t entirely parallels of each other. Lumine’s attacks are high, aggressive and more critical but Aether’s are lower, defensive and supportive. Just small details but kinda fun to think about Hahahha
I think it is to show how they used to fight side by side and covered each other's weaknesses. As Lumine would attack high Aether would aim lower and try to catch their opponent off guard while supporting each others fighting style. MiHoYo really pays attention to details where they count.
I love how there's difference in the way they potray the siblings. They have a different sword designs here, (slightly) different expressions, and the way they say things are different. Which is obv because even though they are siblings, they have different personalities and such. Aether is much more gentle, and bit sad whilst Lumine is a bit cold and strict(in my opinion). The story has so much lore and it's hard for me to keep up hshshs
Goes beyond that! They have completely different animations and style of fights: Aether is clearly stronger while Lumine is clearly more skilled and their sword slashes mirror/complement each other hinting on how they fought as a duo. Mihoyo put so much love and care into the twins and people only care about who is "canon".

Both is cannon it's personal preference but people want to argue about who is cannon even tho the devs never even said who is cannon. A story just needs to be consistent so they pick aether but lumine can still be used if she's your favorite
Before jumping to conclusions, we should also consider the idea that it is possible for Dainsleif to lie to us about what supposedly happened and his intentions. I mean to NOT consider that would be to basically ignore everything we experienced while working with Tartaglia. Plus, why did Dainsleif keep the eye of the first Field Tiller instead of just simply destroying it so nobody could have it? I thought that's what we were going to do but then he said "Nah, I'll just hold onto it." That SCREAMS ulterior motive to me when he literally told us it's too dangerous to keep around.
dain might be involved in the downfall by siding with the gods too, he said you must not fight with the gods nor trust them so when it came to fighting them he might have chose not to
I love how the differences in personality are shown just through tone with the same dialogue. Lumine sounds very hard and detached and like she’s trying to command Aether while Aether sounds much more genuine and emotional and more like he’s trying to plead with Lumine. Man
it’s interesting to note... the sword shown on your sibling (lumine if you picked aether as your traveler, and vice versa) is the same sword we can see both twins using in the introductory cutscene of the game, where we see the destruction of the ancient civilization. perhaps our sibling has kept it as a remembrance of the traveler?
I don't want this to have a sad ending. If it comes down to making a choice between choosing to decimate Teyvat or kill the other twin, I'm fucking Teyvat upside down and bounce the hell out with my twin. Then perhaps when we settle in a coffee shop world, we could both just be like "Yo sis remember that previous world we destroyed?" And she be like "Shhh brother, we do not speak of that tragedy."

I think the community kinda already have an stablished headcanon about the twins personality, like Aether seems to be more sunny and friendly, while Lumine seems to be colder and serious. I've chosen Lumine as my MC, so I don't know why but it feels really interesting and refreshing to see the twins taking different "roles" from what they used to be. Even as the Abyss Prince, Aether seems to still be compassionate and caring for his sister, but now he must steel himself to lead the Abyss Order, even when he's suffering because of it. While Lumine, ever the stoic character, finally breakdowns. When I saw my dear Lumi, desperately chasing her brother against all odds, my heart clenched painfully at her suffering. TLDR; even when almost everyone thinks Lumine is the better Abyss Twin, I think it's a nice change of roles I like to see the friendly Aether steeling himself to be the Abyss Prince, while the colder Lumine learning to opening up and showing more emotions while being the Traveller.
Really well said. There is value in both versions, and it's nice to see people appreciating one without bashing the other. I chose Aether as my Traveller, and it's always interesting to watch Lumine as the MC in the same situations.
I feel like this is a circle. I choose aether and I can't see him like a villain, but seeing this scene when he said that he already ends his journey... Man, I were thinking about if that journey was main, and this is a circle. Then continues lumine, and it repeats. I dont know if I'm crazy or what but it's my theory.
0:59 If you noticed the movement of both the Travelers, Lumine is much longer staring at her sibling while Aether immediately went off towards the portal. Indicating that both of them took a similar route we took. Aether becomes more detached than Lumine who learns to cherish, becoming the very selves of their siblings. Nice touch, Hoyo.
Aether has more expression in sympathy while Lumine's Dead-inside face is on point as the Abyss Princess. It fits so well when Aether is the MC and Lumine is the Abyss Princess. I'm not gonna say she's the villain since we all no longer sure who are the real bad guys in the Story Lore.
I theorize that the two are both. The prince / princess says that the opposite will know the truth when the journey is over, and if in fact the Aether has already had that same adventure, he met paimon, the archons and later and became the prince of the abyss, and Lumine would be destined to follow the same way for the Aether to look for her one day, just as she looked for him? Thus generating a cycle.

Thumbs up to the Abyss Herald in voice acting of being choked.. it sounds uncomfortable for my throat PS: The fact that Aether/Lumine (abyss twin) doesn't meet the other twin for a long time is because they trust the other so much. They believe the other is 'strong enough' to venture the world without him/her by their side. And want them to search for the truth themselves. It shows how much the abyss twin cares deeply for the other. And the dialogue "Home is wherever we're together" hits soo hard :')

Feels like they represents the sun and moon. Yin yang, as differences complicates one another, they together bring harmony, while without one another, you’re half gets lost. Lumine, as the moon, being more emotionless and cold, having already witnessed the essence and truth of this world leaving her empty, only having one goal that she can see. On the cutscene, she seems much more on to her mission, being completely sure she’s doing what’s right, not letting her emotions interrupt. Tho she longs for her brother, and feels a lot of guilt, she does not let it show. Seems more desperate on the cold way, hoping that Aether will too, understand after his journey. Knowing that he need to witness it himself. Aether, as the sun, ruling more by heart and emotions, seems more pained and open by not being able to reunite with his sister, promising that he will once his mission is done. While Lumine rules for vengeance, Aether rules for justice. As I can see it, Aether forces himself to be cold, to be a prince. As he cannot bare too see his sister more, seeing the utter betrayal he feared, he’s the first to turn around. Both twins knows what they’re doing hurts, but they see no other way. Lumine only opens to some, as she knows all the risks. Without her sun to help her shine, she does not trust anyone as fast, leaving her closed and cold in the past. Aether on the other hand, trust people a little to easy. Without his shadow to tell where and who he can’t shine, he simply gets too tired. Being betrayed of the wrong persons, he longs to a place he can feel safe. A home. The twins knows they cannot turn around on their mission. While Lumine has prepared herself for this moment, accepting it, Aether has a harder time, tho he still accepts it. They are not sure whether they’re goal is ever going to fulfill, but they must try. For their sibling, and for the people who got wronged, that they could not save. I writed this most for myself, so I will not accept hate comments, thank you. This is just my see in this, so I can definitely be wrong, feel free to correct. I like them both just as much, I’m just trying to give my see in how the twins felt after seeing their twin after 500 years or more. Also, please give the voice actors some more love. Unless you are a professional voice actor, criticism and hate is not needed.

i love comparing this line: 3:547:54 lumine's cold exterior softens, but she quickly closes herself up again and sounds firm in her belief in the importance of putting her duties above her brother. aether sounds extra pained that they can't reunite yet, and when he talks about his "war with destiny," he sounds almost frustrated with it. maybe i'm reading into things too much though haha. great performances from both VAs

Personally I prefer Lumine as mc and Aether as Abyss prince. I think Lumine's aesthetic with the white clothing fits the mc fighting for good, while Aether's aesthetic with black clothing fits the role of Abyss prince. Also I like the emotion that Aether brings to the role, like he's still our brother and he longs to go away with us but he can't until he finishes his mission.

While I love both ideas of either as MC and Abyss Prince/Princess, I prefer Aether as Abyss Prince just because personally I'd like to imagine Aether being the gentle and kind brother he is betraying her to be so angsty and an interesting narrative. He seems like he has his reasons too, which could be interesting. Plus, Abyss Aether just is so much cooler in my personal opinion than Lumine as Abyss. Also I've seen brother trying to save sister or guy saves girl narrative a lot and not enough sister trying to save brother or girl saves guy narrative. Again, just my personal opinion.
I feel this scene was powerful, heartfelt especially since it takes us quite a while to see the other sibling. It makes you wonder what the story is going to lead up too. I felt like towards the end, the player MC should have sort of fell right after the portal went- it’s just a detail or idea that I think would make their reunion feel even more heavy, sad or almost futile. As if the two siblings will end up being on opposite ends of destiny. Just a thought.
I love how Mihoyo has always had this story ready in the game graphics. For example, some of the walls in the Wolf of The North's arena has always been collapsed and we've always seen the clawmarks from the battle with the Field Triller.
I love how the siblings have somewhat different reactions even though they're doing the same thing and saying the same lines The Traveler Aether shows a little more of facial reaction than the Traveler Lumine while she's a little more vocal like even a grasp of air almost sounds like she wants to say something to the Prince Aether but finds it hard since emotions are also having an impact While om the other hand Princess Lumine talks with Traveler Aether with a close to monotonous, cold and calculated voice while Prince Aether sounds like he's really trying to restrain his own emotions to the moment but finds it hard to do If I have to put a description of how the siblings are in general Aether is the heart and Lumine is the mind type of people They act naturally when they are according to this type (Traveler Aether expresing his emotions at the moment and Princess Lumine acting tactical even if that means being the enemy of her own brother) but when they are forced to act like the other type they are erratic (Traveler Lumine affected by emotions she can't control and Prince Aether forcing himself to be cold to her own sister for her own good) (Edit: I've seen the comparison again and maybe in the facial side Lumine looks less emotional because the bangs hide part of the curve in her eyebrows, making her look less worried and more confused Also maybe it's just me but Aether eyes looks a little more wide even with the different shape and Lumine's mouth opens more that Aether's when they try to say something at the end ALSO ALSO yeah even in Traveler sounds Aether voice trembles in despair at not being able to pass through the portal while Traveler Lumine throws a sad sound, both voice actors are great and I really think this was intentional)
Also here : 0:54 aether looks confused don't know what to say and just wanna hug his sister again, if he was able to talk i bet its "What are you talking about.....?", While Lumine look like she's about to say something but can't because her feelings are keeping her quite, if she can say something i bet its "Aether you don't know what you're doing" (lol i'm probably think like this because of all the angst and emotional seen i see)
Many ppl say Aether is the cannon MC but Lumine seems so off as the abyss princess. That's because Aether, even tho they're twins, seems like the old brother who woke up before her and has been on Teyvat far longer than Lumine, so he has more experience. Also, we can see that he, even as abyss prince, cares for her and acts like the old brother, but is pursuiting something. Lumine, on the other hand, is the confused and weak little sister who's just looking for his brother. But as she keeps adventuring, she becomes stronger with the help of the friends she makes (or pull on banners lol) and will eventually understand the reasons of Aether, even (and probably) if she wont't agree. Lumine as the "cold" villain sister just seems to cliché and meaningless... But that's just my opinion
I don't think the same, in mihoyo trailer u can see that Lumine is not a little mad with Aether even knowing that he ruined her plan, i think both of them have a big heart, not that Lumine is the mind and Aether the heart, but still, Lumine fits better as antagonist Also the thing that Aether eyebrows are more curved than Lumine is because of their hair (bad english im triying my best)
I know right? I honestly hated how this story quest went, when Aether/Lumine went back into the portal or vortex, why did it seem so, casual? Paimon talked more than the MC, your damn sibling just showed up in front of your eyes after multiple years, and the MC just, brushed it off.
*Spoiler Warning* When I did this quest, I already felt defeated with the Geo Gnosis being handed over so willingly. This was a further kick in the stomach just because my predictions were true.
There is a canon route though. In Lumine’s side, when we saw Aether as the Abyss Prince after Dvalin’s save, Aether was referred to as “Princess” verbally, but the cc said “Prince”
I think the journey lumine is talking about is getting back their powers i just noticed how her outfit the places who usually glow with green/yellow (depending what element you use her with) they're all white, so she already got her powers back (well of course so did aether if you play with lumine)

Separate theory:I feel like paimon is a sort of secretary or is actually controlling celestia because if you see, she has the power to change time and knows more about the world than you do. She may be working for a higher power, high than celestia.
Another theory:the mc(s) originally came from celestia and were trying to go back but couldn’t. They were the original cause for Vanessa’s ascension but couldn’t ascend anyone else because they lost their powers and are stuck on the land until the end of their journey.

Okay but can we stop arguing about who's the better villain and just agree that both are amazing in their own way. Lumine as the villain has that dead look that shows how determined she is to reach her goal, but still has that longingness. Aether as the villain has more of the longing look than Lumine, showing that he really wants to go home, but knows that he has to reach his goal first.
I wouldn't even say that your twin is the Villain, since the twin is just someone to bring a fallen nation back, or atleast give them back their real human life forms.

Plot twist: this was actually a loop.
So it was Aether meeting Lumine and telling her that he had already traveled to their world once and his journey has ended. So Lumine finished her own journey then going back to the past Aether then telling him the same thing the other Aether told her. Then past Aether continued it. Then continued it, continued it, continued it, and continued it.

The twins do remind me of the Sun and Moon, Lumine's blue dress and sword just reflected how she pretty much embodies the ethereal and luminescent glow of the moon while Aether's bright, warm and yellow colors represent the brightness of the sun's rays. They are parallels of each other, one can't shine without the other.

I love how clear is the difference in twins' personality despite both having the same script.
On the one hand, Lumine is cold and distant, somewhat disappointed her brother teamed up with Dain and her goal is revenge.
On the other hand, Aether sounds understanding and hopeful to reunite with his sister and he believes that he is doing the morally right thing.
Voice acting does wonders.

I feel the line “we’ve always had enough time” relates to the God of Time. It makes sense.
Khaenri’ah and the God of Time were both forgotten and were turned upon by the world. Khaenri’ah was a land that was not looked upon by the gods or Celestia, the only other god who, I assume, would be most welcoming would be the Time God. After all, time changes and must adaptable.
I would think that Time God would be the only god that Khaenri’ahans would worship due to the Time God’s understanding personality or something similar. And the Time God being the only god they’ve seen.

I like how both of the voices aren’t the same because it shows the different personalities the twins have because Lumine’s voice is cold and a bit stubborn while Aether’s voice is more emotional. It truly shows differences in personality and perspective- while other games like this would have the same feeling, Genshin Impact made the voices seem like the villains had a different way of seeing it.

Abyss leader twin is like that player who's at the "end game" and our traveller is a newbie trying to power rush through the game to get to high level quick and be as strong as old players. 😂

It’s really interesting the voice direction where Lumine sounds angered and cold but Aether seemed hurt and almost longing to return home but both come off as incredibly devoted to their mission with the Abyss. It’s just really interesting!!
Edit: kinda thinking about it tho it seems to fit with their fighting styles too like I think that wasn’t intentional but people forget the twins aren’t entirely parallels of each other.
Lumine’s attacks are high, aggressive and more critical but Aether’s are lower, defensive and supportive. Just small details but kinda fun to think about Hahahha

I think it is to show how they used to fight side by side and covered each other's weaknesses. As Lumine would attack high Aether would aim lower and try to catch their opponent off guard while supporting each others fighting style. MiHoYo really pays attention to details where they count.

I love how there's difference in the way they potray the siblings. They have a different sword designs here, (slightly) different expressions, and the way they say things are different. Which is obv because even though they are siblings, they have different personalities and such. Aether is much more gentle, and bit sad whilst Lumine is a bit cold and strict(in my opinion). The story has so much lore and it's hard for me to keep up hshshs

Before jumping to conclusions, we should also consider the idea that it is possible for Dainsleif to lie to us about what supposedly happened and his intentions. I mean to NOT consider that would be to basically ignore everything we experienced while working with Tartaglia. Plus, why did Dainsleif keep the eye of the first Field Tiller instead of just simply destroying it so nobody could have it? I thought that's what we were going to do but then he said "Nah, I'll just hold onto it." That SCREAMS ulterior motive to me when he literally told us it's too dangerous to keep around.

If it comes down to making a choice between choosing to decimate Teyvat or kill the other twin, I'm fucking Teyvat upside down and bounce the hell out with my twin. I think the community kinda already have an stablished headcanon about the twins personality, like Aether seems to be more sunny and friendly, while Lumine seems to be colder and serious.
I've chosen Lumine as my MC, so I don't know why but it feels really interesting and refreshing to see the twins taking different "roles" from what they used to be.
Even as the Abyss Prince, Aether seems to still be compassionate and caring for his sister, but now he must steel himself to lead the Abyss Order, even when he's suffering because of it.
While Lumine, ever the stoic character, finally breakdowns. When I saw my dear Lumi, desperately chasing her brother against all odds, my heart clenched painfully at her suffering.
TLDR; even when almost everyone thinks Lumine is the better Abyss Twin, I think it's a nice change of roles
I like to see the friendly Aether steeling himself to be the Abyss Prince, while the colder Lumine learning to opening up and showing more emotions while being the Traveller.

If you noticed the movement of both the Travelers, Lumine is much longer staring at her sibling while Aether immediately went off towards the portal.
Indicating that both of them took a similar route we took. Aether becomes more detached than Lumine who learns to cherish, becoming the very selves of their siblings.

When Aether does it, it feels like hes more of an anti-hero but when Lumine does it, it feels like shes more of a villain
Aether has more expression in sympathy while Lumine's Dead-inside face is on point as the Abyss Princess. It fits so well when Aether is the MC and Lumine is the Abyss Princess.
I'm not gonna say she's the villain since we all no longer sure who are the real bad guys in the Story Lore.
I theorize that the two are both. The prince / princess says that the opposite will know the truth when the journey is over, and if in fact the Aether has already had that same adventure, he met paimon, the archons and later and became the prince of the abyss, and Lumine would be destined to follow the same way for the Aether to look for her one day, just as she looked for him? Thus generating a cycle.
So I believe that it doesn't matter which of the twins is the MC because they both follow the same path

Feels like they represents the sun and moon. Yin yang, as differences complicates one another, they together bring harmony, while without one another, you’re half gets lost. Lumine, as the moon, being more emotionless and cold, having already witnessed the essence and truth of this world leaving her empty, only having one goal that she can see. On the cutscene, she seems much more on to her mission, being completely sure she’s doing what’s right, not letting her emotions interrupt. Tho she longs for her brother, and feels a lot of guilt, she does not let it show. Seems more desperate on the cold way, hoping that Aether will too, understand after his journey. Knowing that he need to witness it himself. Aether, as the sun, ruling more by heart and emotions, seems more pained and open by not being able to reunite with his sister, promising that he will once his mission is done. While Lumine rules for vengeance, Aether rules for justice. As I can see it, Aether forces himself to be cold, to be a prince. As he cannot bare too see his sister more, seeing the utter betrayal he feared, he’s the first to turn around. Both twins knows what they’re doing hurts, but they see no other way. Lumine only opens to some, as she knows all the risks. Without her sun to help her shine, she does not trust anyone as fast, leaving her closed and cold in the past. Aether on the other hand, trust people a little to easy. Without his shadow to tell where and who he can’t shine, he simply gets too tired. Being betrayed of the wrong persons, he longs to a place he can feel safe. A home.
The twins knows they cannot turn around on their mission. While Lumine has prepared herself for this moment, accepting it, Aether has a harder time, tho he still accepts it. They are not sure whether they’re goal is ever going to fulfill, but they must try. For their sibling, and for the people who got wronged, that they could not save.
I writed this most for myself, so I will not accept hate comments, thank you. This is just my see in this, so I can definitely be wrong, feel free to correct. I like them both just as much, I’m just trying to give my see in how the twins felt after seeing their twin after 500 years or more.
Also, please give the voice actors some more love. Unless you are a professional voice actor, criticism and hate is not needed.

Personally I prefer Lumine as mc and Aether as Abyss prince. I think Lumine's aesthetic with the white clothing fits the mc fighting for good, while Aether's aesthetic with black clothing fits the role of Abyss prince. Also I like the emotion that Aether brings to the role, like he's still our brother and he longs to go away with us but he can't until he finishes his mission.

While I love both ideas of either as MC and Abyss Prince/Princess, I prefer Aether as Abyss Prince just because personally I'd like to imagine Aether being the gentle and kind brother he is betraying her to be so angsty and an interesting narrative. He seems like he has his reasons too, which could be interesting. Plus, Abyss Aether just is so much cooler in my personal opinion than Lumine as Abyss.
Also I've seen brother trying to save sister or guy saves girl narrative a lot and not enough sister trying to save brother or girl saves guy narrative. Again, just my personal opinion.

I feel this scene was powerful, heartfelt especially since it takes us quite a while to see the other sibling. It makes you wonder what the story is going to lead up too. I felt like towards the end, the player MC should have sort of fell right after the portal went- it’s just a detail or idea that I think would make their reunion feel even more heavy, sad or almost futile. As if the two siblings will end up being on opposite ends of destiny. Just a thought.
I love how Mihoyo has always had this story ready in the game graphics. For example, some of the walls in the Wolf of The North's arena has always been collapsed and we've always seen the clawmarks from the battle with the Field Triller.
I love how the siblings have somewhat different reactions even though they're doing the same thing and saying the same lines
The Traveler Aether shows a little more of facial reaction than the Traveler Lumine while she's a little more vocal like even a grasp of air almost sounds like she wants to say something to the Prince Aether but finds it hard since emotions are also having an impact
While om the other hand Princess Lumine talks with Traveler Aether with a close to monotonous, cold and calculated voice while Prince Aether sounds like he's really trying to restrain his own emotions to the moment but finds it hard to do
If I have to put a description of how the siblings are in general Aether is the heart and Lumine is the mind type of people
They act naturally when they are according to this type (Traveler Aether expresing his emotions at the moment and Princess Lumine acting tactical even if that means being the enemy of her own brother) but when they are forced to act like the other type they are erratic (Traveler Lumine affected by emotions she can't control and Prince Aether forcing himself to be cold to her own sister for her own good)
(Edit: I've seen the comparison again and maybe in the facial side Lumine looks less emotional because the bangs hide part of the curve in her eyebrows, making her look less worried and more confused
Also maybe it's just me but Aether eyes looks a little more wide even with the different shape and Lumine's mouth opens more that Aether's when they try to say something at the end

Many ppl say Aether is the cannon MC but Lumine seems so off as the abyss princess. That's because Aether, even tho they're twins, seems like the old brother who woke up before her and has been on Teyvat far longer than Lumine, so he has more experience. Also, we can see that he, even as abyss prince, cares for her and acts like the old brother, but is pursuiting something. Lumine, on the other hand, is the confused and weak little sister who's just looking for his brother. But as she keeps adventuring, she becomes stronger with the help of the friends she makes (or pull on banners lol) and will eventually understand the reasons of Aether, even (and probably) if she wont't agree. Lumine as the "cold" villain sister just seems to cliché and meaningless... But that's just my opinion

I know right? I honestly hated how this story quest went, when Aether/Lumine went back into the portal or vortex, why did it seem so, casual? Paimon talked more than the MC, your damn sibling just showed up in front of your eyes after multiple years, and the MC just, brushed it off.
