It aligns with the Travail trailer ending where it was Aether who stood alone in the sea of flowers, which is what the abyss twin says they found at the end of their journey here.

I hated this so much. I have never felt even more betrayed than when they dropped this and THE FACT THAT THEY WOULD FORGET THIS INTERACTION ANYWAY LIKE BRUH. It's like you gave a child a teddy bear and then you suddenly pull out a flame thrower and BURNED IT right in front of their eyes. THAT'S HOW THIS QUEST FELT FOR ME. But hey we at least got to see Dain again.

He's a traveler. If you traveled to another part of the world for a few years, you'd make friends that you would leave behind eventually as well. After all, a thing isnt beautiful because it last forever.
Travelling across the universe is much more fun then staying put ..also like friends change with time too... Since the travellers have unusual life span..they will outlive all of tevyat(zhongli's line from his 1st quest) moving around sounds more reasonable
well to be fair, the only reason the traveler stays in teyvat is to reunite with their sibling
You think Aether and Lumine didn't leave other people in the previous worlds they have visited? This is nothing new for them. The traveler only focus has always been to reunite with the sister and leave Teyvat. Everything else from people and side adventures are like filler to them.

I’m still trying to wrap my head around how the loom of fate works or why the other sibling is a part of Teyvat now, but if the flower field they wanted to find is in Teyvat, does that mean they might decide to stay?
Sibling isn't part of tyvat thay are just not a descender like us he / she is just a outlander.
I feel like lumine got controlled by the heavenly principles or got chosen as the heavenly principles’ successor but was killed in the end (since her journey ended, and she said “before the heavenly principles awaken” as if she could tell the future).
The Lumine we see here probably has reincarnated. 🤔
Reasons:
1. She just HAPPENS to be in the fallen kingdom this timeline
2. Once comrades with one of the STRONGEST person in the fallen kingdom (Dain) but still can’t defeat him
3. Seems to know a lot (beef) with heavenly principles
4. Don’t want to give traveler(us) trouble by involving us into the mess 🤔 as if we would meet a tragic end if we travelled together.
Technically our traveller told them they want to find a place with that flower and when abyss twin saw this place..she decided that this will their new home so she is fighting the battle against celestia as if she's fighting for her own kingdom(sure as fck she is being used by the abyss people)

Like at face value what you get is next to no story progression, fight with what 7 mushrooms and 4 hilichurls and a black screen instead of what could have been an epic cutscene. Ah yes 4 years of build up only to forget everything. Perfectly describes genshin's writing skills. Its almost like they dont want the mc to ever remember their sibling. Each quest is like you have questions, you will either get answers and forget them or you have to go to other places to ask more pointless questions.

So this implies the Traveler goes by a fake name throughout their journey or nearly everyone just refers to them as Traveler and it's only their sibling who has called them by name. Thinking in that sense I am not sure how to feel about that little fact.
That or there is that idea that names hold power and the Traveler deliberately does not tell their real name to people so unsavory people can't rule over them.

Tbf, even in western culture it's pretty rare to refer to someone by name because if you're talking to them you don't actually need to.
So with what we know now through Simulanka where just a name could determine the fate of the bearer can explain why we were able to name our Traveler at the beginning. Lore wise it's so the Traveler will be immune to Teyvat's fate.

I don't understand why we asked our sibling if they really hated the heavenly principles. I remember very well that in Liyue, we had the option of telling Paimon that we were going to beat up that unknown God because we were mad at her too, after all, she is the main reason of all this disaster
It is very out of place. During the Chasm where you enter the nightmare door. The Traveler's biggest fear is.. "The Abyss" because they "took the sibling" away.

However, the heavenly principles are probably the ‘ police ‘ of tevyat and jailed the traveler for trespassing at the start. Both siblings might be aware of what they were doing when going into unknown territory (otherwise they could have AVOIDED it).
When the traveler awakened, they were confused why they aren’t going on the same path like they used to (probably in other worlds where there are also other heavenly principles governing their own world) as they always stick together like before. Abyss siblings has something connected to this world whereas us traveler just wants to get out of this world (in my opinion).

That part of the quest was the BEST PART. The cutscene ending as the song gets to that point, you hear that part of the song and when Lumine says "Well... how about a conversation?" As that part of the song plays is fucking amazing I can't even describe how emotional it makes me feel it's actually like 😂😢😅😊😮

-You learn about the 5 sinners of Kha'enriah, 3 of them being familiar names and thus connecting them all under the same banner
-The sinners of Kha'enriah, and by extension the Abyss Order, have world-shattering power and will soon plan to betray Teyvat itself
-You learn the reason behind why Dainsleif is against the Abyss Order and the Abyss Twin
-The loom of fate is completed, and Caribert reveals to you what it's capable of, setting it up for future stories.
-You finally learn what happened to Caribert after witnessing your sibling's memory, and watch his last moment before dissipating in peace
-Caribert smuggles a photo of their reunion into existance, against all reason, encouraging them to reconcile.

I feel like the other day I was reading bunch of lore and now with this dropped I feel like forgetting everything. By her end maybe like khaenri'ah destruction? Or she already witnessed ‘th other’ end from her side?
I would like to add…what did the traveler say at the very end? I’m sure it wasn’t very nice. Good. Abyss twin needs some harsh words after that crap she pulled.

I keep thinking why they are sibling, not lover. Well this archon quest tell their relationship very well. Yes irl siblings always bicker with each other, so different with how Lumine and Aether looks like. But from this archon quest we can see the invisible blood bonding those two as siblings. Yes they have their own dreams, lives, and friends, yet, they are always there for each other. Always thinking about each other and still feel like in home when meeting each other

Yes they're sibling relationship is not like usual..not incestuous but still more lovey dovey then usual siblings..and they are also each other's best friend...they confide in to each other everything and even though paimon is great..traveller does not put all of their heart and emotions onto her like he used to with her twin...

I changed my character name to Lumine so she can be called that in random quests now, I didn’t know Lumine was holding a grudge against that.😂
