Nice vid Doc, some good info to be had here. I have been attempting to put mine up in the back yard just so I would know how to do it if we bug out into the woods (plan C)... I am obviously still on the steep side of the learning curve, as mine didn't go up so taut and tight. I learned from your vid that I didn't make enough effort from the beginning stage; needed to have that middle pole set up at 10' right from the getgo...trying to extend it higher later is a struggle. Thanx for the tips!
It's nice. Huge. I would need something that I could set up alone though. My friends aren't campers. Not sure why their my friends actually. Ha....Dash Riprock
Three people to set up? I used to have a gp small just like yours and could set it up in less than 30 minutes by myself. These are great tents, wish I still had mine.
When I was a FAC in the USAF, my ROMAD and I set one of these up by ourselves. I never did time it though, we set it up camouflaged it and then set up anything else we needed to do . Pretty sure it went up in less than 30 minutes though. Nice tent, a little heavy for me now with back and knee injuries, but a very solid nice tent.
@touristinexile I have this same GP small and I don't think there would be any way to hang a hammock. The side walls and ceiling are not that strong. the midpost is pretty good but those side walls would never hold it. I agree, i wouldn't mind seeing the set up. we are going up this weekend with the tent for hunting but I will be frustrated enough setting it up with rookies that I have no plans on filming it.
Does the winter liner have all the loops the tent has. They did seem to be a great feature. second is there any way to sling up a hammok. does the army have any tents that support the use of hammoks finally i'd really like to see one of these being set up.
@FixedByDoc I'm sorrry I wasn't clear you said and I agrea those tags look very convienient to hang things from but what I wanted to know was when the winter liner is on are there tags on the inside of the winter liner to hang things from.
Hey brother! We are neighbors! Is there still a Marquette branch to Biffs? I haven't been able to find anything. Do you also know if they still have some for sale and how much?
I love tent military i like video
