It is good that you have some answers for Maverick now. I would feel so bad when he was so sick and they wouldn't diagnose him. Now the answers are right there. Get the tonsils out so he can have a healthy life. Do it now befor he starts school. 🤗🤗💞💞💙💙

I had my tonsils out before I was 5 years as well as a ruptured appendix also before I was 5 years old(that one was scary as I had to be rushed to a city hospital and left there to be operated on without my parents as they couldn’t afford to get a hotel room

I had mine out after I was married at the age of 21 I had rheumatic fever when I was 15 and again when I was 20 it is caused from strep throat infection. After I had the second bout of rheumatic fever I said I am going to have my tonsils out to help prevent it again I had an aunt who had it at 16 and died from it my uncle had it in the navy when he was 21 and died from it my heart was enlarged twice it's normal size so I didn't want to die from rheumatic fever so getting my tonsils out was the best thing to do and because I was 21 I had a hard time getting over it I had to stay in the hospital with IV antibiotics for 4 days. I am so happy I had my tonsils out. I am 80 now and never again had rheumatic fever I have a strong heart now.

Crandle, I would grout the entire bathroom floor instead of just around the toilet. You have the grout made up already. Just finish the entire floor while you are at it, just as Marcy said. I am glad that the doctor finally gave a treatment plan for Maverick. ❤

You may think he's too young for that to be an issue, but it's something you may want to mention to his doctor on his next visit. Marci, there is absolutely nothing wrong with a little bribe to help your child succeed.😉 I am loving the black tile in the bathroom. Krandall is doing a great job as usual.

I was raised in Florida so the winters weren't bad but every year with the first cold temp I would get a chest cold and have problems breathing. This was in the late 60/70s and we didn't go to the Dr for things like that. My chest was rubbed down with vapor rub and I'd have a vaporizer with vapor rub in it running all night. Finally at 13 yo I couldn't breath so bad that my dad took me to the ER and they gave me a shot of epinephrine and I could breath again shortly. I don't think there werebreathing treatments back then. I did get a prescription pill that I would take when I was having problems breathing and took expectorant cough syrup take off the stuff up out of my lungs but there weren't any kind of rescue inhalers and stuff like they have today. I didn't "outgrow" my asthma until I was in my late thirties. Most kids outgrow it when they're still young. Knock on wood but I'm 64 and haven't had to be hospitalized for it like I had been many times in the past. I'm so happy that Maverick was diagnosed so it can be taken care of now and he will not have to suffer his years like I did. ❤❤❤

Are they eventually going to test him for allergies? If you keep Maverick off dairy and wheat it may decrease the mucus. You may also want to keep an air purifier in the rooms he is playing and sleeping too.

My son was diagnosed with asthma when he was a baby I have it myself the only way to diagnose it is to go to a pulmonary specialist and have a pulmonary function test done it cannot be diagnosed by listening to lungs because there are to many other things that cause lung congestion like allergies bronchitis Etc so if he wasn't seen by one you need to take him to one because it's the only true way to diagnose asthma. Putting him on a preventative inhaler isn't the correct thing to do if in fact you haven't seen a pulmonary specialist for a pulmonary function test ! my son is now 27 and still battles his asthma so I know what I'm talking about he was seen by a pulmonary specialist as a baby and had many different tests performed to diagnose him they are trained in this as where other doctors aren't and have no freaking clue what they are talking about

My eldest daughter, from the age of 6 months old, she has tonsillitis month in, month out. The poor kid was only well for about 2 weeks of a month. Finally, at the age of 4½, I took her to the Dr and said that I'd had enough of it, and it wasn't fair on her. So it was arranged that she'd have a tonsillectomy. At 30 years old, she still gets a sore throat, but thankfully, not tonsillitis.

I have had asthma since I was 4. I’m now 66. I always carry my albuterol. Poor Maverick. I had my tonsils out when I was 4. I still snore!

Oh Mavi, I can't think of anyone who doesn't like getting a shot! I have a heart murmur and have to TELL doctors about it since it's so faint. Luckily it hasn't ever gotten worse and I don't have to take antibiotics before dental work, or anything.

Please check into getting Maverick tested officially for asthma, there is a test for it and that will help get him better treatment.

Keep an eye on those heart murmurs. I had one from age two and had it ever since. By age 56 I was having serious problems and was finally diagnosed with congenital obstructive cardiomyopathy. My parents were not as diligent with my health and Dr. visits like you are, and decided it didn't need to be followed up, but if it had been treated in childhood I might not have needed open heart surgery in my 50's. I have no idea how you manage so well with those three young active boys!!

I had asthema really bad. But after my daughter went thru chemo she developed severe celiac disease. Our whole house had to go totally gluten free. Guess what? My asthema totally cleared up! By all means, tonsillectomy if indicated, but also consider reducing gluten exposure too. GMO wheat is aweful! 🙏🙏🙏

I fought to get the asthma diagnoses with my oldest. Was crazy. But with the way his breathing was and the attacks came and er visits in was pretty obvious. No one in my family had it before. My husband had as a child but his mom refused the dr’s diagnoses. She finally told me about a year after my son got diagnosed. Then said his dad was the same and she wouldn’t believe the dr when he said that’s what it was.

I've had asthma my whole life too. My doctor sent me to breathing therapy. So I wasn't dependent on my inhaler. A few years ago I had a collapse lung randomly and breathing therapy saved my life. I stayed calm and focused on that till the squad got there.

That is the second bathroom door knob this week that I have seen that doesn't automatically unlock when you close the door, is this the new normal. If you ever find yourself at another Dr. that want's to prescribe Prednisone for Maverick remind or point out that Maverick has been diagnosed with a hart murmur.

WAY TO GO CRANDALL!!! I’m super excited to see you getting to work on the boys bathroom!!! I know you could complete the bathroom in a couple of days if you put your mind and time to it! Think of it as a project that NEEDS to get completed ASAP!!!!! Then you will find a way to do it. I know you’ve got the skills it’s your own procrastination that you’ve gotta beat. You can do it!!!!!! Think of how much more proud you will feel when the bathroom is all done you will have completed the entire house!!!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!! Just do it! 😂🥰❤️🙏🏻🇨🇦🍁
Maverick if he needs his tonsils out and his adenoids removed it will make a huge difference in his ability to breathe when she’s sleeping. My children had theirs out when they were Maverick’s age and they also had tubes put in their ears. They were always prone to ear infections and on antibiotics and if you can have surgery and not have them on the antibiotics every winter his life will be sooo much better! He’s such a great kid and it’s so hard when they can’t breathe. God bless him and his brothers. He took the shot like a champ!!!!❤

You said you were not using cement board on the boys shower, correct? What happens when they are older and want showers instead of tub baths? Will you need to redo the tile?
