  • The remnants of Ida slammed the tri-state Wednesday night with fatal results, producing historic rainfall amounts that left millions under a flash flooding emergency, and triggering multiple tornado warnings throughout the night - including for New York City.
Most of New York City is under a Flash Flood Emergency until 11:30 p.m. -- with the National Weather Service urging the 9.1 million at-risk people to seek higher ground.
"This is the first time we've ever had to issue one," the National Weather Service office that covers the city tweeted of the emergency declaration.

Hello, if you are not saved, and would like to be included in the rapture of the church. Believe that Jesus's death on the cross, was enough to pay for ALL your sins , yes ALL ,(past, present and future) That is what the Gospel is about. We are saved by GOD'S amazing grace, through our faith in Jesus's sinless life, death on the cross and resurrection 3 days later . No additional works needed. It is literally that simple. I can definitely relate to this type of flooding being from New Orleans. Some of my family members were lost in Katrina and had to flee from Ida, so my heart goes out to everyone in the North. This storm really fucked me and my family over as we had an uncle in the hospital literally dying and we were trying to get to him but everyone was struggling to drive or get ubers ect ect, we eventually did get one and the drive was scary as shit in these conditions and by the time we got there, it was to late and he had already passed
may he rest in peace. it was a struggle to get there but at least we could still somewhat have an attempt to say our goodbyes to him 🕊

Was watching the news today and I was not only heartbroken for the people of NYC but I was also astounded that this storm was STILL GOING. This storm is stronger than Katrina. Period. We were ready for the flooding down here due to the advanced levee system (but not the power situation. Not even Katrina knocked out the main electrical tower like Ida did).

It’s crazy how the nature fights back now after all the damage we’ve done over the past century to her. Climate changes are real, we’ve seen it in Germany already when literally the complete of south Germany got flooded and Citizen lost everything but their own life. Maryland, New Jersey and New York will face the exact same these days. I pray for every individual out there 🤲 Please stay safe . It might be hard right now, but you’ll survive this too.
