- I was hoping for this Marathon to happen. This was a very long day since the Lord of the Rings trilogy were extended. It was good to see Peter Jackson on the big screen talking about the films and his history and it was just amazing to see this film on the big screen. This was my first time seeing it in theaters and it was Jason first time seeing the movie...but he kept falling asleep. I didn't bother him to wake up cause he did had a long day at work. Other then that the audience were amazing.
Welcome to Audience Reactions where all my MovieQuest videos will be in and mixed with my Audience Reactions. Some might not have reactions, some might not even have a quest blog to show but There will be videos to entertain you. Thank you for subscribing and thank you all for having me back. :D - Menny

I don't understand people who fall asleep to a movie, especially a great movie.
Keep in mind that the extended edition is over 11 hours long. (with credits over 12 hours).
Robin, makes them all the better.
Sitting in a theatre for 12+ hours is a little tough lol
Maybe it’s so comforting and relaxing...you can’t help but fall into that film’s world by dreaming.
Not all people loved the fantasy genre. Some find it boring. Not true to life stories.
I wish I could go back in time and watch LOTR on cinema 😭
Me too
@xellossaxon still not the same like watching it in cinema for the first time. i wish i could do that :/
I saw them all in the theater. A magical time. I was 19 when Fellowship came out. When Boromir redeemed himself... man that was a tearful moment.
@@delphinbringsby6768 dude for real! I was 11 for the fellowship. These books, movies, and themes have literally shaped my life
I wasn’t even born when they came out😔
I watched the LOTR trilogy in the theaters. The fellowship of the ring came out the year after 9/11 happened and I saw it in NYC. Let me just say it was super well received and the people of New York loved it because it was such a needed dose of escapism
By the time return of the king came out, the audience started clapping when characters appeared on screen and battle of Gondor blew people away. When the elephants appeared, the entire audience was like “Oh fuck” as if they were on the battlefield. When Aragorn Eowyn killed the witch king, the audience roared. When Aragorn showed up with the army of the dead, people were screaming. When Legolas killed the elephant and surfed off the trunk, a dude yelled out “I’m not gay but i would totally have sex with him!” And everyone cheered lol. When Sam carried Frodo, people were shouting “Fuck yeah!!!” When Frodo destroyed the ring, people were cheering like it was a Yankees game. When the movie finally ended, it was dead silent during the credits. Then one person stood up and started clapping. Then the entire theater stood up and clapped and the clapping went on for several minutes. It was crazy
oh man I wish i could've been there. My favorite trilogy that shaped my childhood.
That sounds….amazing
This was much the same in my country too. The Fellowship of the Ring came out months after 9/11 happened. It was released on Boxing Day. It broke box office records in my country. A lot of people were looking for some escapism. Not only that, in the LOTR movies good and evil are clearly defined. Good is held up as something to strive and fight for.
I wish I could’ve been there.
Damnit I wanted to see people's reactions of when Gandalf was on top of the hill from Lotr 2
That was what I specifically came here looking for myself
@@Richard_Nickerson Or him saying '' you shall not pass'' or Rohan blowing the horn at Minas Tirith, or Gandalf coming back from the dead or... u see my point :-)

I do, but your comment implies that you're correcting my comment, which was a statement of my personal thoughts and actions.
I would LOVE to go to something like this. Man a whole day hanging out at a movie theater watching every film with some movie fanatic chit chat in between films. Sounds almost as good as an entire day of fishing!
I’m going to a marathon on the 3rd of September:))
Man I hate it when I'm trying to show a friend a movie/series and they're on their phone texting all the time. Like dude, can't you let go of that damn thing for just a few hours? -_-
It annoys me so much ..
GermanOsuNoob we relate so much.
Holy shit, I know. I've tried showing this to my friends so many times, only they end up texting through out the best scenes and come to the conclusion that the series is boring as shit.
Kolvar Time to change the friends.
Kolvar lol..i can relate.
Kolvar I have one solution: Ditch ‘em and find new friends.
I remember when I first saw these in theaters for the first time as a kid, I cried so hard and for sure, the greatest movie experience I’ve ever had in my life
I have lost count of how many times I've seen these movies but I'll never ever get tired of them.
Best movies ever made.
Audience reactions to Borimir’s redemption and final stand are *beyond* epic, with super fans in the audience it makes it 10 times more amazing
I'm glad I was just a kid to experience these movies when they came out in the theater. Truly magical times
How do you not include Sam carrying Frodo? Best scene in the whole damn trilogy. Wtf?!?
Ikr
It's so sad there's no 2002 videos, I really want see the first time reaction of the first the movies come out 🥺🥺🥺🥺
Missed out a lot of great scenes.... No reactions to Gandalf' and the Balrog, Boromir's death, Haldir's death, the return of the Rhohirum, Shelbob, Frodo possessed by the ring, the ring and Sauron's destruction, Frodo ad Sam's apparent death, the reunion of the fellowship, the coronation? You mean to tell me no one reacted to those?
I missed a few but some of those didnt had reactions, some did but i fell asleep and woken up when they cheered lol
was there a reaction of the ride of the rohirim ,easily the most epic moment in the whole series
@@AudienceReactions you fell asleep???? Blasphemy!
AudienceReactions I know that this reply is over 3 years old, but please, get the fuck out of here you blaspheming little shrak-head! Falling asleep while watching LOTR is unforgivable. Shame! Shame on you!
Oh gosh :) its so nice to see the audiences laughing and clapping and reacting to this movie after years :) I've just seen LOTR reactions from 2017 on a films festival - its so great that this movie prooved to be q. timeless :) The topics of blockbusters movies are changing, the CGI is changing, the film industry is changing, but this masterpiece is here to last long :)
The final ride of the rohirrim gets me everytime man, its beautiful, theoden facing utter obliteration charges screaming death
I love how Americans clap in movie theatres. Never seen that in Europe exept for Star Wars VII
DanComedy I saw it in Spain - Rogue One.
happend here in cyprus for 3 movies
nachos y etcétera thats amazing considering that movie was shite
Sombavlogs it's only for epic trilogies. It's called appreciating culture lol
To be fair, this is a special re-release showing, attended solely by die hard fans willing to sit for over 12 hours at a theater. I saw a showing of Superman The Movie in NYC a few years back and people were cheering at every name in th credits for much the same reason.
The ending always makes me cry!!!!
The Bests movies ever made!!!! Epiiiic!!
This movie trilogy revived the fantasy genre in its entirety..Thx Peter Jackson
This is literally like baking a pie then throwing the filling away and only having a small part of the crust left. This was a fail of a Audience Reaction man and the only one I feel this way about. No harm intended just thought I'd share my thoughts of this video editing
It would of been cool to see the audience themselves while the movie was playing like in a box in the corner.
4ever LOTR
What? No reaction to the Bridge of Kazad-dum?
Ikr the whole sequence of Moria was full of goosebumps
Half my country had a role in these movies lol
You didn't even capture the reactions on the horse charge disapointed
I wish audiences in the UK behaved more like Americans do in cinemas/theatre. All people do here is sit silently, even during the most epic and anticipated movies. I understand that some people want to watch movies in absolute silence to soak in the detail, including myself most of the time, but I think it's so much better when the audience is laughing and cheering at the great moments, feels like more of an experience that way, because you feel certain that everyone else is enjoying the movie on the same level as you. Feels like your in a room where you can embrace being a movie buff, not like your in a room that feels empty but isn't.
Jackarantula I fully agree
Thanks Peter
Bruh you skipped like 90% of all the good parts
glad you got the extended cuts, man! i got theatrical when i saw fellowship yesterday for the 20th anniversary re-release. oh, well.
I just watched the LOTR and The Hobbit movies for the first time (summer of 2022) and I loved them! I do wish these reactions were a little better and showed the reactions to other better scenes. Maybe you couldn’t due to copyright issues but still, I wish it would’ve been better🤷🏻♀️
B-but... the Rohirrim! That was the reaction I wanted to see!
No reaction to Shelob?
There should be a trilogy on Sam going on another adventure
When you were born to early to watch lotr in theatres for the first time :(
Thanks for the reactions but you missed a lot of key scenes. Wont go into detail but yeah..they were missed :P
+Gam3Junkie I only just got reactions, im not trying to get any good scenes just reactions.
God, if seeing each movie by separate was a hard job for me i can't imagine to see the entire trilogy continued jaja
😂
I do that every year. I plan a day for this trilogy, gather my friends. And a lot of food ^^. A very fun 12 hours.
I was hoping to see reaction concerning the scene where Sam carries frodo
The Best movie ever
5:04 In the first movie said, “Nobody tosses a dwarf.” He made an exception this time.
Imagine condensing 9-11 hours of 3 amazing movies into less than ten minutes and leaving out every good bit... What the fuck! It's almost like you couldn't find the sound effects good enough for the scenes so you just left them out entirely and went with slight chuckles that you've used before and people clapping at the end of a movie (who the fuck does that?), it's super convenient how every cinema you go to has people that hate being quiet when watching a movie who sound the same as the people in the other videos. Every single movie I've gone to watch at the cinema has been easy to hear because the people in the room were actual people, not stock sound effects
I wonder how many of these people had seen the movies a million times and only fake-laughed because it was the appropriate thing to do.
What city were u in cause I did the same thing on the same day years ago
07:51 För Frodo.
Swedish subtitles?
Is there a video of that intro of in dreams
The movie intro in the beginning was beautiful! Hobbit is a great film but not as emotional catching as the first 3! Do you by any chance know the name of the song?
^KALE'S CHANNEL^ I dont but i do remember it was on the soundtrack from part one.
Alright thanks!:)
+^KALE'S CHANNEL^ The song is called "In Dreams" and is included in the OST track "The Breaking of the Fellowship"
TEARS
My dad saw the return of the king on opening night. He said it was one of the coolest things he's ever seen
Oh hey, you were in Boston! AMC Commons Lowes.
I didn’t get to watch the movies in theater I was to young but indeed the trilogy is my favorite movie ever. I would of loved to feel how it felt watching it in theaters
Must be boring guy to fall asleep
Would've liked to seen the reaction to Sam carrying Frodo up Mount Doom
Pipin: speaks
Audience: hahaha
Where’s the reaction for when galdalf arrives on the hill? That’s a huge moment.
man, Spain has not that!!!! i want warathons un Spain now
I wanted to see if people chanted Grond but I’m not disappointed
why is there Swedish subtitles when Aragorn says For Frodo, then it say För Frodo as subtitles and that is Swedish I know because I am Swedish, this is clearly an American marathon screening so it confuses me that the subtitles are in Swedish.
Who doesn't clap at the ending of lotr?
The same marathon happened in Utah 01-01-2024 and I was there.
4:28 I have all the Special Edition DVDs. Legolas is really fast with his bow.
where is the Rohirrim charge?????
What's the point of watching reactions 10 years after they came out? You only get first time reactions once :s
I never enjoyed a movie on a cinema...too much noise and the atmosphere feels uncomfortable
I saw the first two on DVD but the third one in the theater. I came out saying RotK was the best of the trilogy.
Yo everyone its back at least in Kentucky shows from January 1 to January 10 if you want to see
If your in UK LOTR fellowship extended edition 4k at your local Vue this Saturday and Two Towers and Return of the King the next two Saturdays. I'm gonna be in heaven got all 3 booked.😊😊😊
What is it with applauding etc. during and at the end of the movie!? They can't actually hear you !
They’re doing another marathon this time from June 8-10 2024 and I’m going
I tried to get those tickets but they sold out fast for all 3 of them.
Got any from the Hobbits?
LeonVP70 Well back then i tried to see them in theaters on time but i never got the chance to see them on the premieres. Ive missed out on a lot of movies.
AudienceReactions awe
No ride of the rohirrim reaction? No reaction to Gandalf’s appearance in two towers? No reaction to Gandalf coming with the rohirrim on first light of the fifth day? Lame-ass reaction.
What about they're taking the hobbits to isengard?
You picked the worst scenes to react to 😂😂😂
This is the worst choice of scenes for an audience reaction I have ever seen
2:18
That one dude shouting "girl power" during the scene where Eowin kills the Witch King with Merry, was really looking for a date after the movies.
The facking best
4:13
Audience reaction do the hobbit the prequel
What a waste of time. Skipped all the climax scenes.
all this clapping man just watch the damn movie
why tf do you guys clap like the screen is gonna say thank you wtf are you guys doing
When you clap for a live performance does the person *ever* say "thank you" or do they just smile and appreciate that the audience enjoyed the performance? Clapping in a movie theater is pretty universally only done on opening nights (or special events like this), and it's just an audience basically saying "that was a good movie."
They dont have to clap evertime there is action
