Your content is inspiring. I grew up watching documentaries on the war because my grandparents and their siblings were all soldiers, and my grandmother was Dutch. This is awesome because it's the flip side of what I grew up on. Preservation of what's left of what happened. Thank you.
The white of the porcelain is still bright impressive and great fines. The Germans differently liked there 🍺 I know my grandfather did who was also German. Thanks again for sharing.
I ALWAYS LOVE seeing you metal detect or magnet fishing!!! That glass ball was amazing; surprised it was intact!!! Also enjoyed you finding that "kitchen" trash dump! Finding all those forks, spoons and that butter knife!! I was "talking" to the video(you) and telling you, "what a cool butter knife" when you were asking what it was lol. Loved it!! Loved every minute of the finds!!! AND finding that bottle with red wine in it after all these years,Holy Madonna!!!! lol. Thanks for taking us. Looking forward in seeing more metal detecting/magnet fishing with you guys. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
I love seeing all the history that you found thanks for sharing it with us history hunter sorry I missed your last few videos but I plan to get caught up with your videos over the next few days I hope all is well with you and your history hunting family
Another great dig, my friend. It had to be an officer mess area since you had regular forks, salad forks, and butter knives. We know that many officers thought highly of themselves. Finding the red wine was just out of this world. Not sure I would have sampled it. This was a great day. Be safe and well, my regards to EE and BBG.
The old saying, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. These explorations of trash piles always bring up some exciting pieces. It’s puzzling to me as to why there is so many forks and spoons in one location. It’s always wonderful to see complete bottles being found. I remember seeing ceramic bottle you found in another video but couldn’t remember what it was. Am sure the excitement is still there when you find a piece of ceramic with the German markings on it. Very nice finds at this location.
The green glass ball looks like a fishing float. So many amazing ceramic pieces!!! The appolinarus (ceramic, very tall) bottle usually held mineral water. What a fabulous place for artifacts, HH!❤
with curiosity,I want to ask whether It is permitted in law to bring these things found in this vedio out off the country because I am a tourist or just simply sell them in local market
Wonderful finds, always like seeing when you dig out the dumpsites. Thank you for sharing this experience. Hope everyone is doing well, stay safe and keep smiling my friend.
Mum used to have a couple of different sizes of that glass ball vintage fisherman floats for the nets Im sure. Some really cool finds there ! Thanks again HH and EE !
This was an amazing explore! Just seeing the artifacts that you found and dug was incredible! I would be over the moon to be able to dig those things. That would be a place to go back to. I wonder why all of those things were buried there? My goodness, if only the ground could talk. What stories we would be able to hear. Wow. A lot of people don't care about history or preserving it. I, for one, love it. When I was in high school we had to do a research paper and I did mine on when Hitler conquered Poland. Back then we didn't have the Internet or anything like that. We had to do actual work. I made a poster with the map starting and when he finished. I just wish everyone would learn from history instead of repeating it. Until next time, take care and stay safe. 💖💯
Certainly some super awesome finds from that rubbish pile. Obviously at the end of the war they just dumped everything from the mess hall into a rubbish pit nearby. The glass ball is a Christmas decoration. It's little metal cap and hook would go where the indented ring and dots are. Shame it's lost its silver coating, but a really nice unique find nonetheless. Amazing it survived at all. Love the tube of sunscreen with its label still intact. That was a nice one. And all those bottles and broken cups, and such a variety of spoons and forks, and even a butter knife. The terracotta bottle probably contained schnapps rather than just wine, and I absolutely love the wine bottle still with wine in it. Now that was a truly unique find! That was just an amazing rubbish pit, with such a variety of items. Thank you so much for sharing this one! Cheers to you both! Stay well!
That was a great explore from long ago. Yuor voice has changed so much since then! Did you taste the wine? Wishing you guys a very happy Christmas from Sunny Wales.
Man, all sorts of great stuff in that trash pit! Couldn't believe all the shards of the cups & plates along with all the silverware you found on that trip. The intact bottles were something especially that one with the WWII era red wine in it!
Johann Haviland Was the owner of the 1907 in Bavaria established factory, that was later bought from a italian factory and later, in 1933 sold to the Rosenthal trust. Haviland is spoken as Avilland because the family had french roots. The item at 15:20 is a knife of a fish cutlery!
Wow! What a treasure trove of artefacts.stainless steel rust free cutlery and nice porcelain with the Eagle emblem. But most exciting of all the wine bottle complete with red wine, these objects were possibly from the Officers mess. Some high ranking officers were Graf,s or counts, aristocrats who still lived in the style they were used to in peacetime.👍
way back they used to use glass balls for target and or training in the use of Shotguns .they would be thrown into the air. Annie Oakley the female target shooter in the old USA wild west days was one of the exhibition shooters that shot at these with rifles loaded with special lead/shot charges that made it easier to shatter the balls with a little margin for error.
It definitely looks like when they left they just took everything in the mess and dumped it in a pit. The glass fishing net ball is amazing! for it to be still intact is crazy. I wonder if they deliberately broke them to prevent the locals from salvaging them?
I would cut the plate bottom off in a circle with the print and set it in resin and then polish it into a bowl or plate so you can use it and look at it
The glass ball may be a fire Ball. Would have contained fire extinguisher material, it would be thrown in a fire to extinguish the fire, however yours appears empty.
I have seen you recover numerous artifacts over the years but that glass ball is one of the most unusual and hard to determine what it was used for. A float maybe? I have seen fishermen use similar glass floats. Strange. So many interesting pieces in the ground! The porcelain pieces are always verry interesting with their emblems and dates! All that silverware, looks like they emptied the kitchen drawer! Red wine, now that stuff is aged! Thanks for taking us along on the dig and the explore! Frohe Weihnachten!
Green glass ball used on Japanese fish nets.
Cool and thanks :)
At 15:22 you found a butter serving knife. Keep up the good work. Every shard has a story to tell.
I see my friend and thanks for being here :)

14:58 that's a butter knife.

The glass ball may be a fire Ball. Would have contained fire extinguisher material, it would be thrown in a fire to extinguish the fire, however yours appears empty.
