The underrated aspect of it is the delivery. On the off chance that I’d ever managed to think of a line like that and do it that quickly, I don’t think I’d have been able to get it out because I’d be laughing so hard.
I love how John Mulaney just makes everyone break, like no one can keep it together not even comedy professionals. He just says some crazy shit with that wicked timing and everyone's ass is on the floor
I watched the Netflix special without any context to what I was going to watch, I just saw the words "on Broadway" and expected a musical. The second the show started, and I realized it was Nick Kroll and John Mulaney dressed as old people, I realized that it was not going to be a musical. I was very happy I was wrong, though.
I like how you can sort of see a guests personality come through with how they approach the "too much tuna" line. Paul more than anyone really leaned into it and was genuine when playing along. He seems like just an awesome guy to be around
I would absolutely love to see these guys doing this when they're actually that old so they won't need the makeup. That live show's on my bucket list, just like Daft Punk.
My British compatriots who are also down an Oh Hello/Too Much Tuna rabbit hole - seek out the Barry and Angelos podcast. Imagine George and Gil, but from Bethnal Green.
Mulaney's ad lib on the 'no good things came from comfort zones' is genius

Except a random twelve year old they had on at some point
Paul Rudd might be my favourite guest on too much tuna, simply because of how well he plays along
Roxie van Itty I agree. Everyone else seemed a little uptight. Rudd was relaxed and very into the show.
Have you seen the one with the 12 year old?
it helps that he's high and a little tipsy lol
They should do a Shakespearean version, call it "Oth'ello!"
Damn that’s good
I bow to your genius.
thank you andrew, thank you
i appreciate this, so much
I would actually want this, except idk how they would do it minus pulling a Laurence Olivier which yikes, very much not a good idea
Jesus Christ, Mulaney is a comedy genius.
“All granola bars are so good for you” is probably the funniest thing I’ve ever heard
"That was written by a guy tryn ta..."
I'm just glad I lived long enough to see JM say that line. Take me home, Lord.
“Tuna eclipse”
That went over everyone’s head.
Max James lunar eclipse too😭😭😭

They way Kroll flips his hand in disgust at the slogan kills me every time.
“it’s a brilliant day to believe in you” WHY DID THAT MAKE ME LAUGH SO HARD
*Mouth full of Luna Bar*
THEY'RE MADE BY RICHARD KIND
4 INCHES AWAY FROM HIS FACE
This line gets me every time I have watched this and that has to be at least 57 times
The most underrated line (and delivery) out of all these videos.
I like how you can sort of see a guests personality come through with how they approach the "too much tuna" line. Paul more than anyone really leaned into it and was genuine when playing along. He seems like just an awesome guy to be around
Paul Rudd is everything.
His improv is first team all pro. Fucking incredible. Rudd read his slogan and John had it inside of a second.
paul rudd is hammered
“learn your line, rudd.”
Nick and John are Legendary for this 😂
they always remind me of my granny and my grandma
You can tell they’re not used to having guests who can keep up with their riffing. Well done Paul!
I would absolutely love to see these guys doing this when they're actually that old so they won't need the makeup. That live show's on my bucket list, just like Daft Punk.
Jake Blumberg that would be amazing! I would love to see that! I’d sell my soul to see actual 70yr old John Mulaney and Nick Kroll do Oh Hello
Oh no...
too much tuna or not enough bread?
Omg. Icons
And praise G-d Kroll is also a Komedy Genius! Love you Tunaheads!🤣🙏🥰
did anyone notice that Paul and John were drinking from the same cup...👀
“They’re made by Richard Kind!!!!”
Leslie Jones knew how to keep up with them,
but Paul Rudd knew how to roll with the punches
Hey its Celery Man!
Niko R now Tayne I can get into!

Watched this on Netflix, was fucking amazing. Go watch this if you haven't already
i love 3 (three) MEN!!!!
Chris Pratt ate it. They cut it off before he did but I read that one interview. I know he hate the rotten tuna.

Does video exist of Sebastian Stan on stage with them? He did this a couple years back and I can't find the video. Help, plz lol
They should've gotten John Mulaney on this.

THEYRE MADE BY RICHARD KIND!!
DID YOU KNOW THAT?
way2much
Puns...
They can afford about 2 pounds of tuna a night but they can’t afford a Luna bar
Was the comfort zone line a diss to Mulaney?
No
I love your username
Shoot out Diego Luna
This is the whitest thing I have ever seen.
I agree. I see white people talking all the time

Lol Diego Luna is a real dude. He was on Agents of Shield too
high key only know who Paul Rudd is because he married Phoebe on Friends.
For pure ad-lib, having Colbert was good, but really, Will Ferrell would've been the best, king of improve.
I feel bad for the people who are entertained by this
we don't need your pity thank you very much
Why should anyone care about your opinion?
Jesus Christ, Mulaney is a comedy genius.
