Hello! I was the guy you ran with after Ambleside. Those chatty miles were a real highlight of the day. I suffered a bit of a low patch before Finisthwaite but a caffeine gel and some new company perked me up again. Finished 21st a few minutes behind you. What a magnificent day eh?
Hey Ed! Yeah when I saw you finished right behind me, well done man! And even first in your age category I believe👌🏼 Yes, what a day it was, thank you for the nice company from Ambleside and great to see you finish strong!
You're an inspiration. Finished my first marathon this year and have completed 3 25k races. Hoping to run a 50k this summer and then hopefully a 50 miler someday. Great video and good luck.
Thanks! Haven’t thought about it too much yet! I do think it will take some time for the next though as it was quite an impact this one😅 going to be running a marathon next spring probably:) these are easy now😂
Brilliant film mate , great effort it was wild on the tops . My brother in law actually won it this year he was saying how cold his hands were before he got down to Ambleside
Hi , great video and well done . I thought about doing this race this year but couldn’t unfortunately will hopefully do it next year ! How was the navigation ? Gpx following ? And what watch do you have ? Thinking of upgrading from fenix 6x pro to epix or enduro .. well done again 👊
Hi Tom thanks for your comment:) definitely recommend you try this race once! Gpx was fine although I recreated it, the organisations’ gpx file was a little inaccurate. But on my strava is an accurate file that at least got me through without many navigational errors👌🏼

Nah he went from one spot to another (by car) and filmed me passing by as much as possible, rest of the footage I recorded myself with a camera✌🏼
