@@rickytlc1985 did you have to download an app in order to have this flash drive work on the phone?
You see I have a SanDisk and it seems to require an app I tried to bypass it's not very obvious as to how.

Honestly thank you so much! I've been trying to move my files for ever and I watched a lot of videos but this was the only helpful one! There was just a slight difference for me maybe because of the update, when I pressed on copy I didn't have the menu bar. I simply had "copy here", so I was really confused, turns out you just have to go back and press on USB 1 and then press on "copy here".

Good question, have the same problem
Having the same problem. Use ES File Explorer. It worked earlier. Somehow I turned it off. Not sure how to turn it back on. External flash drive not recognized by any apps now.
Change the charging pot of your phone
Then its broken
Go to settings and look OTG sign and press on

This is excellent- I'm doing this on my samsung tablet however, but all instructions work. UNTIL I click the item to be copied. When I tap the 3 dots the only options are: Open with, rename, add to home screen, move to Secure Folder, and compress. However, along the bottom is the copy option. But, afer I tap on that, it only offers "cancel" or "copy here" (?? Where??) So I click on "copy here" and it says " You already have a file named (name) in the destination folder." I'm in Tech hell !! Any idea what might be going on?? TIA! You've gotten me to a point in the process farther than any other online info so far, so THANK YOU!!!

Yes they do jave them works for phones and other devices. You can also use a dongle to convert the port over sp a regular usb can work.

Previously when Ihave taken videos I have to return home to transfer the files to the computer, so i can deklete them from the phone to free up more space. Now i can simply take a USB stick and transsfer the files while out and about.
I assume it's the same process to transfer from the phones memory card to the USB stick.
