I'm not saying the dialectic grease can't go on the outside like that but it should go in the place of the pins where the actual connections are. It's all about removing the air in between the two pieces of the metal That's how the corrosion develops. When electricity flows from one pin connector to the other there's microarching which causes ozone to be produced which corrodes the metal. At least that white powder if you ever seen it on a connection. I love your videos guys.
@@georgepapa2950 That's depending on your state I guess. Nothing they did in the video seemed not really legal for PA . If they were on there at the time of state inspection they would have to work. Anyone it comes to the LED bar I want to say it was 80% of the LEDs had to work for it to pass.
@@georgepapa2950 The connectors used a lot in lights that barrel style it's pretty watertight . They did a good job with the soldering I think most people at home would sadly use a lot of the quick connect items. They normally don't seal and lead to corrosion.

so i saw the video about the new reverse light and it has a dome glass on top for light throw but how it that going to help when its pointing directly up into the housing and not out like it was designed to? is it really better lighting than the gen 1 ? because thats what i have.
The original version still had LEDs facing the same direction, they just didn't have the lens, so all in all the new Ultra series is brighter across the board and across all applications, just even better for facing the rear! They do still have LEDs facing in the other directions just like the original version as well, so you aren't losing anything with these ones! They are just even better for those applications where the bulb does point to the rear of the vehicle!
You will totally be good to go if the first gen bulbs worked for you! These will actually be even better fitting thanks to size of the bulb, as they will fit more applications!
I just ordered these and installed. I do like the lights and they are definitely brighter than stock but, on your site it states the reverse lights are 1200 lumens and the package states 1000. They did not come with instructions, I did easily figure it out. And one pack came with an O-ring to seal the adapter connection and one did not.

You will not need a resistor for the reverse lights, as they do not flash with the turn signal! You will only need resistors on bulbs that flash from the factory, that way they do not give you hyperflash!
I figured I wouldn't. I saw some videos of camaro guys upgrading their reverse lights to LEDs and they had to install resistors which I found odd. So just wanted to make sure, thanks!@@HeadlightRevolution
I've still been trying to get help after almost a year for my 2017 ram 2500 hid light kit and nothing. I got my lights sent in for "testing" and randomly got it all back a month later with different bulbs and no explanation of anything or what to do.

Thanks for the input, and you are totally correct! The best protection from oxidization is to fill the space between the pins!
The wiring does not seem road legal, after paying such high prices i expect some good quality connector .....
