Thanks for capruting Hounslow East. I remember it very well although it's been about 24 years since I was there strolling through the row of shops. Looks like a lot of the stores got switched out/closed. Good to see WHSmith survived.
When I lived in Hounslow many years ago the high street in front of the Treaty Centre was open to cars; the new configuration is a great improvement and it's interesting to see how in some ways the area is so very different now but in some respects still the same as it's been for decades. I'd love to take a walk there again, but until I can this video scratches that nostalgic itch.
you know, it's sad that only metropolises are where local independent shops are found nowadays, because I notice chain franchise retail are what commandeeringly dominate other towns' & cities' strips..! 😶
oof! so is it customary around GB there for either cops or guards to be wearing balaclavas in springtime weather? n o b o d y even wore one hereabouts when the wind chill'd plummeted to -43° for a few days last month

Thanks for this walk... funny how you can suddenly feel pangs of nostalgia for a place I was so keen to escape from when I was young.
Wow! Quite a long high street! I'm thinking of visiting the town myself.
The day looked nice and crisp for filming!
Thank you for sharing! :)

надо же, в лондоне ещё попадаются европейцы..
In the early 1980s the High Street was not blocked off to car traffic like this or am I wrong? Lived on Cromwell Place very near a Fullers pub
