    Hi everyone. The third job was a remote and work from home position. These companies begin hiring the last weeks of October into the first weeks of November, so if you’re interested get out there this weekend and apply! 🤑

      Hey Kimberly. Cool video! Would these jobs accept people who have professional jobs, e.g doctors, engineering, IT, accountants, etc? How do we structure a CV for these seasonal roles, if we haven’t done them before?

    • @FinanciallyPowerful
      @FinanciallyPowerful  Рік тому

      @@TheBlackGentlemanGeekGood morning. These all (except GAP INC) require you to fill out a paper application on site. I took a resume in also, but definitely not my CV as I hate to say it, but many of the managers in there don’t really understand the CV.
      These are very light hearted roles that only last 8 weeks and so yes they hire highly educated. I have an MS in clinical psychology and was hired. If it wasn’t seasonal that may be different because they may be scared to lose you quickly. ❤

    The combination of both that extra Christmas money plus the store discounts is really the icing on the cake. I too have worked many different seasonal roles. Awesome and thanks for sharing!

    Great video! Don't most of the stores want you to fill out their applications online? Will store managers really want to speak with you in person?

    • @FinanciallyPowerful
      @FinanciallyPowerful  Рік тому

      Thank you. No you need to go in person and fill out a paper application. ESPECIALLY for season. Yes of course the managers will want to speak with you and set up an interview. 👍🏼

      Thankfully, I haven't had to job hunt for well over a decade, the last time was in 2011. But even then, applications took an hour to fill out online because there was so many questions- it was incessant.
      I was hired at a few places before I got my current job (been there for 13 years next week!) And nearly each and every job I've gotten was from me going in and speaking with the manager in person before applying on paper. It wastes less time.
      Also, because it's holidays and shopping is more abundant - if you live near a mall, go in and ask in each store so you can hit up a ton of shops at the same time.
      There's also the added bonus of this: You go in, you speak to somebody, usually an assistant manager or a manager, they get to see you and form a first impression of you, you fill out the application you leave it right there. They tie a name to your face. You thank them, maybe you have an opportunity to shake their hand, depends on the vibe. When they are looking for people to work, your face will come to mind before some random anonymous person on the internet.
      Both techniques have their pros and cons. At home filling out applications you save money on gas but you waste more time. In person you waste more resources but you can usually get more applications done quicker. Smaller and locally owned shops are more likely to have paper applications as well.
      At one point, I actually cracked open the local phone book, and started going through alphabetically calling businesses to inquire if they had openings(I was DESPERATE).
      If one didn't, I crossed it out, if one did but I had to apply online I put an x next to it because I knew it would be more work, and if one did and I could go in and apply in person, I put a check mark next to it and planned out a route to hit up as many places as possible.
      These days you can actually go on Facebook and ask in your local community what local businesses are hiring for part-time/seasonal. MANY people will share businesses that they know are hiring and make your hunt WAY easier. People in my area do it often, which I think is BRILLIANT. You can also look on Google maps and see if there's any business that seem like they'd be interesting to work for- that curiosity also goes a long way! Then it's just a matter of calling and asking if they're hiring to confirm as such and noting if they want you to apply in person or online.
      Oh my goodness, this is such a long roundabout way of saying that I personally think it's much better to apply in person because the application process is faster and you get the in-person interaction to put you closer to the top of the list.

    • @FinanciallyPowerful
      @FinanciallyPowerful  Рік тому +1

      Hi Aaron thank you for checking out the videos and I hope you’ve found something helpful.
      I would choose first UA-cam, because you can make videos on just about anything and with enough effort you can make terrific money. You also get to be your own boss and not deal with any other persons if you don’t want.
      Secondly, I would choose to purchase an LLC (I have a video about setting that up) and start a small business doing tangible work such as performing tasks that people NEED and will always need. Cleaning, car detailing, lawn work, trash valet, etc. Word of mouth spreads quickly and these businesses will always have good profit margins. These businesses may seem small but have gigantic potential. My brother did this and has an extremely successful business now.

    @FinanciallyPowerful , in UA-cam there are so many people who provides so much information about financial freedom and what not just to sell courses and make people foolish. I request you to make a series of videos that are really worth it like work from home jobs for all across the world, ( some places from India too ) - remote jobs , there I think if people can really make alteast $2000 a month, then it would really be helpful. I have been always watching alot of fake promises videos, but it never works out.
    Hope you will not disappoint and I am also a A.I consutant and we may be coloborate to make some thing usefull.
    Kind regards,

    • @FinanciallyPowerful
      @FinanciallyPowerful  Рік тому +1

      Hi there. I have a question for you. Why should this be remote work only? Why is no one willing to go OUT and truly work a job? Additionally, why is UA-cam the source in which people from all across the world rely to find remote work? Why can’t people search for themselves and find work? The answer to this is not to continuously rely on UA-cam, but to put in work and effort and find what it is you are specifically looking for. I do appreciate the suggestion, and will consider it; however it won’t be a guarantee these are the types of videos I make. 😊👍🏼❤️
