Hi Gus I have been using my deluxe stand and it is great. It has really helped to relieve the strain on my neck as I can sit right back in my armchair to stitch. Great stand. Love it
I received my workstand last night, after US Customs held it for a whole week. 🙄 I digress... I've never seen anything so well packaged! Using this video and the pdf instructions, I had it put together in no time. It's absolutely beautiful & solid. It fits perfectly with my stitching chair, so no more strain on my back, neck and shoulders. This was definitely the best investment I've ever made for my cross stitching. Thank you, Gus, for the beautiful craftsmanship, unequaled customer service, and for reassuring me when I was sure that Customs had lost my package! ❤
Received my stand today. Yay, with a happy dance! 💃 I put my name on the waitlist right after you added this list in February 2023. You estimated the wait time at 3-4 months. You contacted me about my “number” being at the top of the list in mid-May. You sent an invoice, I paid it and my item shipped on May 28th. I received it on June 6th in Florida, USA. Great contact all through the ordering process! My husband said with your video it was one of the easiest items he’s ever put together! He also commented something to the effect of your being a genius Gus. 😊 I must say that even before using it that it looks like it’ll do everything I would ever need in a stand. I can sit anywhere and use it. I recommend it to anyone looking for the perfect stand! I look forward to years and years of happy stitchy time! Thank you Gus!
Gus, it is rare that an item exceeds my expectations, but even with all the glowing reviews I’ve seen, the actual stand blew me away. I have a feeling you have no idea how really good it is. Thank you not only for the engineering and craftsmanship, but also for the fabulous customer service!
@@jeanettekruger9007 You don't attach the fabric to the stand directly but put it in a frame (for example a hoop or scroll frame) and then rest the frame on the arms of the stand. I would suggest taking a look at either the photo slideshow video on here or the Facebook page to see some photos of the stand with frames on it to get an idea of what it looks like when in use.
I bought this stand from Gus a few months ago. Worth every penny! I use it every day and it easily supports everything from small Q snaps up to my big Quantum frames for full coverage stitching. There are so many adjustments you can make to ensure it is correctly positioned, aches and pains are a thing of the past. Very happy to recommend it to anyone - I fully expect this to be the last stand I ever have to buy 😊
Just received and assembled my stand. Between the printed instructions and the video, I had no problems. The stand is very high-quality and I am anxious to get using it! Thank you very much.
Excellent video Gus explains everything perfectly - you are a natural! Your frame is truly amazing and I’m enjoying mine every single day. True craftsmanship!!!
Thanks for the great video, Gus. I love my stand and highly recommend it. Thank you for making a beautiful piece of functional art that I can use while I make my art!
Thank you for the wonderful video, it was so well done. Now I just need to buy one of your fabulous stands to work on. I will start saving for it I am a cash and carry person.
Thank you so much for such a detailed video, between this and the photos you have uploaded it's clear that this is the perfect frame for me, and that it's adjustable enough that I won't have to buy a whole new stand to accomodate any changes in the future. Until now I've been worried that even if I find a good fit for my current needs something as routine as buying new furniture could result in it becoming unusable in the future. Now i'm off to save up as quickly as possible.
I just discovered this video and am totally enamored of your stand. The functionality is exceptional, particularly the ability to accommodate positioning for various types of furniture and stitching positions. The stand appears to be well constructed, and the wood finish is visually attractive. I shall be sending you an email message to learn about pricing and delivery options for the US. Congratulations on this beautiful stand; I hope that you are met with lots of enthusiasm from the stitching community. 🙂
Thanks for posting this tutorial Gus, my wife has just received hers, not sure if its the deluxe one though. Unfortunately, she slipped on Ice on Saturday 2nd Dec and is in hospital with a badly dislocated and broken left elbow that's had to be reconstructed. She had been tracking its whereabouts since she got the the e-mail that it was en-route, it arrived on the 4th of Dec but unfortunately no one home to receive it, so got taken back to post office where it went for another walkabout until I (meaning the very nice lady in the post office) eventually tracked the little rascal down and it eventually ended up sitting on the sofa today (6th Dec). Back to wife in hospital, being the woman she is, she has already devised a plan for threading needles whilst in a plaster cast utilising the foamy sling to hold the needles to aid with the threading. That aside, I have not opened her package as that is for her (meaning me when she is home) to do. However this piece of kit you have engineered looks amazing from this video. I am sure she will be very happy with it.
Hi Gus! Your demonstration was very good and easy to understand! I like the fact that a stitcher and twist it around to go over their lap if sitting sideways on a sofa like I do + the other adjusted positions it has! I don’t own a stand now and have been thinking of investing in one . You mentioned turning in the arms to use a “small” hoop. I imagine a larger hoop can be used also. Up to what size ( width ) ? Greetings go Marilyn 🇨🇦
Hi Marilyn, It should be able to handle the largest hoops as well, I don't have any to test with, but it can handle the large Omanik frames for example. There is also a slide show on my channel that has some pictures showing it with larger frames that may help you visualise it. Thanks Gus
@@guscustomcreations5816 Hi again Gus. I watched your slide show just now. I can see that if a person is sitting up at a table, they could put their stitching pattern and/or I-Pad beside them, but in the lying down position there isn’t really a suitable, readable place to put these. I have seen some stands that have a separate smaller arm and/or a little ledge, that these could be clipped to or sit on. Have you ever thought of adding a feature like this? Let me know your thoughts. P.S. Also advise a quoted price to Oakville,Ontario, Canada. Thanks Marilyn 😀
Hi Marilyn. I have thought of quite a few things to add to the range, but finding the time to do anything with most of them is the killer. I am a one man band and apart from the occasional help from wife I do everything from A - Z with the stands so am kept extremely busy, maybe one day i will get some more time. For pricing, if you can please email me on gus.custom.creations@gmail.com I will supply you with a quote that includes the shipping. Thanks Gus
Gus,What wood wax or oil do you recommend for the cross-stitch stand my wife purchased? The wood is beautiful and we want to keep it that way. Please advise thanks
Hi John, I mention the maintenance of the wood in the assembly instructions. The stands come finished with a coat of hard wax oil from Osmo, but any good furniture oil, liquid bees wax or paste wax will be fine, just remember to not put anything on the areas that were left unoiled by me to ensure no problems with slipping etc. As above details on all of this is covered in the assembly instructions. Cheers Gus

There is nothing more beautiful or durable than real wood.
Gus, you’re a natural on camera! A fellow Scot, and with the cleanest shed I’ve ever seen. Great tutorial. Quality workmanship. 👍👍
Thank you, I've been in Oz 33 years now but still have the accent :) (I cleaned that corner of the shed specially for the video .. hahaha)
lol ok, so it wasn’t just my American ears! I kept thinking that wasn’t an Aussie accent!
