MY favorite recoding AND a legible score??? Thank you so much
Виолончель,ты чудо для моей души..сладкий сон...браво!!!
I’m playing the second piece, Allegro non troppo, and it’s terrifying 😢
That beginning of the second movement is straight heat 🔥 😤 🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟

Am I allowed to say that I like this more than the first concerto?
Yes.
@@ianw1976 Thank you.
Yeah... it almost reminds me of a movie soundtrack.
I agree!
Its more epical and has specific melodies which speaks deeper to the soul than the more famous in A-minor.
Absolutely
I think this is the first time I see a cello staff with 2 note lines oO
Staves.
You will also find it in the cello parts with the 2 Shostakovitch concertos.
There's piano music with three staves, so really...
@@audraslusher6412 Even four in some Rachmaninoff pieces.
Much better this way than constant clef changes, I think!
Magnifique version ! Merci !
Dammm that second movement 🔥
Very underrated piece.
There are references, I feel, to the Bach D minor keyboard in some of the figuration. What a wonderful orchestrator he was! Underrated: I've thought that for some time, just because he was ''conservative'', whatever that's supposed to mean
@@neilwalsh3977 I'm playing the 4th Sinfonia in D Minor right now and I would agree.
@@ianw1976 This is the best tribute to composers - playing and appreciating their music. I always find rehearsals almost as uplifting as the concert. The other day, playing the Cello 1, I couldn't help remarking, this guy could damn well orchestrate!! For me, I guess, great composition is simply craft, in whatever style - like making a nice table or chair.
Thank you, I’m honored!
No prob :)
More epical than the famous one in a-minor, I prefer the d-minor concerto much more.
Allegro non troppo - 15:47
i strongly dislike the notation choice of two staves but its cute
Cute?
Interesting and practical.
The n. 1 is better, in my opinion
Nr. 1 is more concise.
This concerto has bit the character of a rhapsody with some
baroque phrases.
