    I really like how you explain your moves. Plus you're doing this while playing 10 minutes game is amazing.

    Once, I didn’t know a single opening by name. No clue about opening theory or endgame strategy at all, and was rated about 1600. Now, I’ve studied and watched countless UA-cam videos about chess and follow chess accounts and have trained on puzzles and played loads more games, and I know dozens of openings by name and deep standard lines and all sorts of unique variations on common openings, familiar with countless traps and counters,
    And I’m still ~1600.

      @jonaaaaaaah Рік тому +1

      haha i feel this comment in my soul. the way i see it is that just by playing more your brain will naturally start seeing moves that make sense and make fewer mistakes. theory is only truly needed when you are playing at the highest levels. but i find studying theory and strategy enormously fun - even if it doesn't help me on a practical level (yet)

      The London allows the king to get some elbow room against non-professional…. But the pros who spend every waking minute studying chess like Rainman waiting for Wapner are way too clever for it.

      I really don't understand what happens with the London system, why people either love it or hate it, and nothing in between. What's so special about the London?

    • @bradleykinum7016
      @bradleykinum7016 Рік тому +1

      @@xescllabres1327 people love it because it's simple to learn and you can play it against almost any response by black. It also has very few weaknesses in the structure. People hate it because it has a reputation of leading to a slow, closed position, which I would argue isn't true

    The thumbnail is funny, it was a wild call-out. Guilty as accused.

    With me being a lower rated player, at the video time 27:03, I would have tried to trade the Queens. Being up a Rook and a Bishop VS. a Knight. I would be confident I would win the game.

    @stephaneboudreault Рік тому

    In the first game, at 1:20, you should have play Rook d1-d8, after the QxRb1 +, and K g2, you would have a check mate thread and be in real good position and win back the Rc7

    I spam the London opening like way too much online. It got me to 2300+ on blitz, rapid, and 2400+ in bullet lol. Just not in the mood to play anything else because I am somewhat lazy. I am considering the double fianchetto system for white though, just haven't really played that opening much and don't know all the ideas.

    Alessia, with all due respect: We cannot say "There's few time." The word few can only be used if we speak about countable units. So you can say "There's little time left" or "There are only few minutes left". Also in the first game it would have been a good idea to move the bishop to h3 (instead of f3) but I know at chess you are better than Joe Jacques... 😓
