  • It’s day 11. I’m trying to raise my chess rating from 0 to 2000 ELO within 30 days.
    RULE 1: Only Rapid Games.
    RULE 2: I have to explain every single move I play.
    RULE 3: I will give you a checklist of things that you must do to improve your rating.
    RULE 4: If I lose a game, I have to play the GROB (worst chess opening) in the next one.
    This speedrun is authorized on chess.com. The ELO points will be refunded.

    15:35 How to develop against the kingside fianchetto was an excellent lesson. I've seen people do that to me before but never thought it through like this.

    9:59 was the idea for the initial trap (before you played Nc3) to check the opponent’s king with Qh4, they respond with g3 and you give them another check with Qe4 so you were to win a rook?

    • @Alessia_Santeramo
      @Alessia_Santeramo  9 місяців тому +2

      You are right that the opening is not very safe but before 2000 Elo in a rapid game, you can play pretty much any opening. The important is not to play just for tricks after it😅

    • @KancerKowboy
      @KancerKowboy 8 місяців тому

      Aman Hambleton has several videos on the Englund Gambit. He has played it in tournaments. Its not as bad as its seems but yeah, its definitely not the best. I know it usually takes d4 players out of their rythym, especially in blitz and rapid.

      I believe that a little error in the opening or the middle game and that's it, you might be ruined. Alessia knows the openings and takes advantage as soon as the oponent makes a mistake, it's too much knowledge in my opinion, it is learnable indeed, with time everything is 😅 Just keep pushing!! I know that Noel retired in competing in chess tournaments. I really want him to play a 10 minute game of chess and analyze potential moves he could make and explain the move that he made and why he made it. I’ve seen him play 3 minute chess with 98 percent accuracy. I don’t know how that is possible to make such calculated moves in such little time. I really want to know how his brain works.

    The way of underestimating and laughing at opponents is disgusting. Know that you are playing with beginners, most of whom are young children. Please don't laugh at their weak moves and don't forget, you were like them one day.
