Star MEGASTAR pistol- discontinued rare Spanish find in 45ACP

This is my new (to me) Star MEGASTAR pistol in 45acp that shared a frame with the 10mm Auto version. Part of the "last" gasp of Star's production line in the 1990s. It's big, ridiculous, rare, and I absolutely love it.

That's in really nice shape. It's a shame Interarms and Star went out of business. The finish was known as "Starvel", which was a nickel plate, not stainless. I would think hard before beveling that magwell.

its not a good idea to dry fire star pistols, the firing pins can crack really easily by doing that

The safety on this prevents the firing pin from being touched by the hammer.
